It's incredible to think that, three decades after its original release, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 still has some secret lost content left to offer fans. But here we are - a new video published by the Video Game History Foundation has unearthed some fascinating new information about the Mega Drive classic's development, alongside a new stage reveal and a reconstruction of a Zone once thought to be entirely lost.

End of an era, I say. The show had its problems for sure (which were only exacerbated by the fact that it couldn't find a road back to reality after COVID lockdowns lifted) but it was a very special event for the gaming industry. Particularly for me, as someone who was lucky enough to visit for business a few times.

SEGA has just surprise-announced a wide-sweeping revival of a number of its long-dormant, retro franchises at The Game Awards last night. Brand new entries in the Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Shinobi, Golden Axe and Streets of Rage series were shown off in a single 'Power Surge' reveal trailer.

Hi everyone! Things have been a little bit crazy this past week or so, as we all wind down for Christmas, but I've been meaning to start making proper use of the new Blogs system to lay down my thoughts as 'head honcho' of the 'Stadium. I used to do this quite a lot back in the day, and I kinda miss it.

I wanted to kick off a quick little topic to poll people's opinions on the site itself, and be proactive in offering a space for you guys to tell me what, design-wise, could be improved.

Hey, so for no particular reason, I was thinking about what S&tBK could have been. I love the game, and this isn't meant to be a critique of what actually happened. The game was honestly pretty solid imo. So basically, all that I'm doing here is giving my half baked take on a 'what if' scenario for Sonic and the Black Knight.

So after the Archie Sonic the Hedgehog comics were cancelled in 2017, it was unknown at that point on whether or not Sonic the Hedgehog will ever come back into the comics.  Well, it turns out that in 2018, SEGA announced that they will be partnering up with IDW Comics to make a brand-new Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series!  And what better way to celebrate this special occasion than to have the old writers who wrote for the Archie Comics make a comeback into the series?

There's been a lot of villains throughout the history of Sonic who were either super underdeveloped or had an unsatisfying end. 

Out of all the mistreated villains from the different Sonic canons, who are a few that you'd like to eventually see make a return in some fashion?

Announced on the news tab today on Sonic Forces: Mobile, a brand new battle event is incoming featuring a clash against the past (Classic Super Sonic), and Future (Super Silver). Players will be split into two teams, and as per previous events, will score points for collecting rings and winning, with those points doubled if you use either of the event characters.

If you missed out on getting Classic Super Sonic earlier this month when Superstars dropped, or you haven't gotten Super Silver yet after his last rerun back during Summer, this is your chance to do so, so don't miss it!

Interesting article about mods on Sonic Frontiers what does everyone else think?

It's officially been one full year now since Sonic Frontiers released (November 8th 2022), and throughout the months, it's a understatement to say a lot has changed about the game. Not just with the usual feelings that can change when a honeymoon phase with a brand new game ends, but quite literally, as Sonic Frontiers is the first mainline game in the series to get frequent and substantial content drops that significantly altered aspects and elements of the game, for better or worse.
