It may be April Fools, but this bonus challenge is no joke! Join us for the very first special challenge of the 52 Game Challenge, where we're on the hunt to help Big the Cat find his missing best pal, Froggy!
Your mission? Go back to any previous game that Big has appeared in and show evidence of you finding the purple cat! Working together, we're going to help Big retrace his steps and hopefully find Froggy. It can be Sonic Adventure, Heroes, Chronicles, Dash, even LEGO Dimensions - as long as the purple cat's shown up in it, it's fair game!
Everyone who participates in the challenge will receive a special reward to be announced later on within the week, so let's get cracking and help reunite the duo! Be quick though, because we only have until April 8th to conclude our hunt!
Be sure to join the 52 Game Challenge below and post your evidence of finding Big in a game to complete it!

With our new overlord having taken over the site, the SSMB staff have been recruited into his ploy to find Froggy by any means necessary, and by extension, that means I’m recruiting ALL of you to help our efforts! That’s right, we’ve got a bonus challenge for the 52 Game Challenge event, thanks to Big!
For those who don't know, the 52 Game Challenge is a special event currently going on right now in The Sonic Stadium! Log in every week with games you have finished, or completed throughout the year and win tons of profile prizes! Can you make it to 52 completed games?
And now, experience our very first bonus event - you’re going to help everyone’s favorite purple cat retrace his steps and see if we can find Froggy! So what do you gotta do? It’s quite simple.

Travel Sonic's return hinted by Ben Schwartz!

Sonic the Hedgehog may be the fastest thing alive, who loves adventure and seeing the world... But naturally, Sonic MERCHANDISE don't often get the same luxury. Soon however, that might change... provided he doesn't get stolen again.
What am I talking about? Why, I'm talking about the ill fated plush known simply as Travel Sonic.
To celebrate the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 in theaters, Sonic actor Ben Schwartz left behind a Jakks Sonic plush at the Los Angeles International Airport. With this "Travel Sonic", as Ben dubbed it, is a note.
Ben intended for this Sonic to be passed along from person to person, from airport to airport and hoping to see reports of where Travel Sonic might be, and how many people he has met. Upon hearing of his disappearance from the LA airport, Ben awaited with baited breath for any sign of life from Travel Sonic!
...And sadly, no sign came. Two years passed, and still no word from Travel Sonic, who has most likely been taken by a child and is hopefully) being taken care of. At least Ben knew it being stolen without a word would be a possibility.
Today, Ben released a tweet lamenting the loss of his failed Travel Sonic project... But also a sign of hope ahead.
It looks like Ben isn't done with Travel Sonic yet! With the third movie on the horizon, Ben is looking to resurrect the idea of Travel Sonic with a safer, and more foolproof way to track his travels.
How exactly will it be done? Only time will tell this December. But when that day comes, check around your airport next time you go on a trip. You might be bringing along a fluffy blue companion who is just as eager to see the world as you do!
