Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (3DS)

They should just put Waluigi in there as player 2 because his hatred for Luigi hasn't been referenced at all since Mario Tennis, either that or it's just a trait that nobody really gives a shit about anymore.

This is Nintendo we're talking about, here.  I don't expect Waluigi to show up in Luigi's game just like I don't expect Wario to show up in a main Mario title, despite how much obvious potential there is for both cases.

Calling it right now, Player 2 = Toad.

Would be fun if player 2 was E.Gadd. A guy can only dream. Who knows maybe it will be a recolored luigi. Either way multiplayer isn't really a feature that I'm looking foward to in this game. I just hope that the Nintendo Network symbol means DLC.

I honestly think adding multiplayer to this game is a waste of time, as it's not going to hold the same appeal as say Mario Kart or Pokemon, it's a cool idea but they should have just focused on a single player experience only.

OBJECTION!!!

If it is as fun as Nintendo Land's Luigi's Mansion multiplayer, I'll love it.

March 24 just a week after my birthday! I don't care much about multiplayer I'm more into single player story for any game, but if multiplayer is that attractive for many people then why not integrate it to more of their games?

I support Luigi's Mansion: Vacuum Bros multiplayer.

I can just imagine Luigi scared shitless while Mario's so excited to catch ghosts.

With so many new places to explore, all new ways to capture ghosts, and a brand new local multiplayer mode, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon is another star turn for Mario's heroic brother—and it's only on Nintendo 3DS.

I love that Nintendo is all like "Nah, nobody wants to play online"...

Yeah, um... I wouldn't get my hopes up after seeing the Nintendo Online icon. If the game were to have online multiplayer, you can bet your ass they'd advertise it.

Unfortunately it seems Nintendo is still reluctant to leave the early 2000's, so I suppose we're stuck with another advertised multiplayer mode that'll be completely useless for me.

Local multiplayer honestly doesn't excite me anymore, unless it's for a party based game/fighting game, especially on a handheld. It'll be nice for those who have a sibling/friend who will love to play with you, but for me and many others, this will be just another mode that taunts us at the menu screen, just like NSMB2.

Speaking of NSMB2, just because the box-art has Nintendo Network doesn't mean anything. While it might mean DLC mansions or something along those lines, I highly doubt it means online multiplayer. ( this is nintendo after all)

The Luigi's Mansion game on NintendoLand is one of the best ones so I can only dream this'll be some expanded form of that, a counter-op mode as oppose to co-op mode.

If it is co-op mode I kinda actually hope Player 2 IS just Toad because to be honest E Gadd's cool and all but I don't really want to play as him lol.  Plus it'd be out of character for him to be a competent ghost hunter considering the whole reason Luigi tackles the mansion alone in Luigi's Mansion GCN is because Gadd is getting too old for it.

Of course if it were up to me I'd have Mario come along for two player and, during his "Hey, I'm here!" animation, hilariously accidentally nudge Luigi over to Player 2's slot when the "Searching for players" menu loads up, in Squeegie's own game no less.  ;0;

You're a big dumb for that comment alone you know >8V. Why would anyone pick to have more bloody playable Toads, especially over a great character like E. Gadd. We've been through that enough with the NSMB games, nevermind bringing it into the spin offs.

Also how is it out of character for him to be capturing ghosts? The old guy spent 20 years researching them, capturing all those portrait ghosts the first time around and even built the equipment Luigi's been using himself. Only reason Luigi tackles the mansion is because its personal, with the Boos having specifically luring him there and kidnapping Mario.

Mario would be neat as an extra playable after the games over though (assuming he's been kidnapped in this game). And I really could see Nintendo pulling that on Luigi too, seemingly sidelining him in his own game. Really it'd be too fitting not to do.

The very first thing that E Gadd does in Luigi's Mansion is fail to catch a ghost and then say "I'm getting too old for this".  =U

The old guy's just a touch out of practice that's all. And if someone saying they're too old for this was the line for retiring, then we'd probably have a larger number of movies where the bad guy won as the hero was shipped to a home. :V

Still not reasons to want playable Toad over him either, you dum-dum~

I dunno, I like Gadd as an NPC but Toad's a cool little guy and would look badass hoovering up ghosts.  8C

Although my opinion is biased since I actually have never cared about the Toads being in NSMB lol.  In fact I play as Blue Toad in multiplayer.

...I can't say I can see Toad quite pulling off the badass look to be honest, and yes your opinion is very biased, and not to mention factually and morally wrong  :V .

Nah just joking you filthy mushroom-loving scum, you prefer what you do. I just think E. Gadd would be a more interesting character as a playable since as the inventor of all the gadgets and stuff, they'd maybe have a bit more room to change him up a bit outside of *shorter and takes longer to hover up the spooks* that both him and Toad would likely fit for. Plus Toads have been shown as escort-mission types in some of the footage anyway, so they might be excluded on that merit (or counted in cause they'd have animations and stuff to work with...hard to say....).

Personally though I just find E. Gadd's generally more fitting as the potential extra character, assuming we don't just get a alternate Luigi that goes on to be introduced as the third Mario Brother down the line and ends up outshining Luigi in the fans eyes as the shadow's shadow, since he was introduced in the original game and all, plus he needs the screen time :V.

Wouldn't be surprised to see E.Gadd as the second character since he was considered as playable in Mario Kart DS - therefore it wouldn't be a stretch to see him considered in that mindset.

But it would be neat if it was Waluigi and your goal was to irritate Luigi and make his life a living hell by playing rave disco with your flashlight in front of his eyes and scare him for extra points.

Mario is just too damn weird of a choice for player 2 that I wouldn't expect Nintendo to even consider him, but at the same time it would be pretty hilarious of they poked fun at that in-game if it were the case.

I have no irl friends so the multiplayer doen't excite me.

I bought a 3DS for 2 games: Paper Mario and this.

Sticker Star is constantly off and on in the fun department. I hope this is better.
