Been playing through Alice Madness Returns thanks to that PSN sale a few week back and I have to say, its quite long :)

I'm only half way through chapter 2 and I already played about 4-5 hours of the game, so I think it has quite a bit of content.  Because of this the game drags on and it feels longer than it should be; its still a lot of fun, in fact some of the most fun I had in a platformer since the Galaxy games along with some of the smoothest combat I have ever seen in a platformer, but it feels like the game drags on with very samey levels with the only difference being the platforms looking different or the odd mini game or two to mix things up.  That's not a bad thing as the gameplay is great, but it could have been a better game if they made it shorter with more verity and stronger level design :(

But for 4 dollars, getting this great game along with the excellent original is a wonderful value and I cant wait to see more of this games twisted Wonderland :)

Welp, got yakuza 4 last week and I gotta say this game is pretty fantastic, im at the part with tanimura on chapter 3 and when I looked at the percentage I only had like 12% of the game completed even though I have been playing it for hours, I love the amount of work and effort that was put into this game and my favorite part was probably hearing un-gravitify in the mahjong parlor. Why didn't I get this game sooner? (also I like how this game lets you recap the events of the last 3 to have a better idea of whats going on).

I'm currently playing Mirrors Edge. I adore the art style it has. It's very unique and it overall has a good feeling to it.

The game itself is very short. I'm already on the last level after a week of playing it on and off.

God of War Ascension.

This is the first game I've played in the series and I'm really enjoying it, although it's confusing as it's supposed to be a prequel but doesn't feel like a prequel so far.

Going back and forth between Project X Zone and Resonance of Fate.

I've put in about 40 hours on PXZ, and I'm ALMOST done with it. I really like this game. The dialogue is really well written and the little references they throw in to all of these games really adds to it. I mean, there's a reference to the infamous "Jill Sandwich" line for pete's sake.

I picked up RoF out of curiosity from playing PXZ. It's a very unique RPG. I've only played it for about 5 hours so far, but it's becoming one of my favorites.

I'm moving onto Sonic Colours DS. It's alright so far. I have just reached Sweet Mountain Act 2.

Resident Evil Code Veronica HD. Really fun to get back into this game after playing it on the  PS2 ages ago. I'm doing the foolhardy thing and going for an A-rank right off the start. Chris is ready to head to Antartica and I've only saved 5 times and haven't touched a single First Aid Spray.

I know the S-rank recommendation is to never save except for the one free save at the halfway point, but fuck that. I'm not gonna take on a boss for the first time in ten years without using a typewriter.

Rogue Legacy is probably the most compelling game I've played in a while.  You explore an open-world, randomly generated castle trying to find treasure, defeat bosses, collect gold, etc. but when you die you choose one of three successors, who will have different traits and specialties, to take your place and then the castle completely changes shape and you start over from the beginning.  It sounds tedious, and it is, but its difficulty and tendency to change up the rules makes it very rewarding and addicting.

Been replaying Sonic games lately. Over the last two weeks I have replayed and completed Sonic Unleashed (only my second ever completion) and Sonic Generations. Whilst I am not the greatest fan of the gameplay in Unleashed, the fact is the more you play the game, the more you get used to the gameplay and the better at it you become.

I think I will replay Sonic 06 next. I have only ever completed that game once so I want to do it again. I would also like to replay ShTH but I got rid of my PS2 copy ages ago.

I heard the gamecube version of shadow the hedgehog has less stiffer movement then the PS2 one so if you have a wii or gamecube that could be a good copy to get.

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2013.

There have been parts that have made me want to ragequit, I admit. Normally those "find all of x in a level, so lol backtracking" types of missions. Overall though it's been fairly entertaining and well worth the 5 bucks.

Now, to empty my father's bank account buying new characters...

I recently got Daxter off of the PSN and it's awesome smile.png

It has always been one of the games I wanted whenever I got a PSP (the other games that fell into this camp were the PSP God of War's and KH Birth by Sleep) and thanks to BC with PSP on the Vita, I'm finally playing through it, and I'm honestly surprised how polished this game is.  I known from Ghost of Sparta HD that Ready at Dawn can make some dam good games, but Daxter feels like what a proper Jak 1 sequel should have been; colorful visuals, great soundtrack, really fun platforming and its mechanics browed from Jak 2/3 are smartly integrated with the platforming (being able to hover with your sprayer is a great tool with your weapon over just blindly spinning while shooting to kill everything like in Jak 2 or 3).  The game also does a great job mixing things up with cool little set pieces like navigating a subway tunnel or hoping on a hover bike to kill plants.  It's a overall wonderful game that I am really happy to play through.  Ready at Dawn made a better Jak game than Naughty Dog did... now that's something smile.png

Also got Max Pane 3 thanks to its steal of a price at 8$ on PSN and with that alongside aiming to finish up Alice Madness Returns and Sleeping Dogs leaves me a lot of games to get through biggrin.png

I finally beat the main story of L.A. Noire after a year and it was quite enjoyable solving all the major cases.  Up next I will attempt to get a few more quests of Skyrim done before the next big Steam Sale though knowing my luck it will not happen as there are some games that I have on my wishlist.

Well my constant daily animal crossing new leaf addiction, as well as playing Skyward Sword hero mode while I wait for my birthday next month for either a Wii U or some more 3DS games!

I'm finally nearly done with Devil Survivor; I've only got the last battle left to go. I tried it last night and got through the first phase just fine, but the second phase destroyed me. My magic-specialist hero dealt less damage per turn to Beldr than he could heal back, and virtually everyone else was wiped out by vampiric mist while they waited around twiddling their thumbs. It was pretty embarrassing.

I'm also replaying Mega Man 9. I'm really bad at Mega Man, but once I get into a groove with it I can usually struggle through. I've only got Splash Woman and Concrete Man left to go.

I also picked up Super Mario 64 DS the other day, since I'd actually never played any version of SM64 before and I felt like I probably ought to. It's... interesting. The d-pad mostly works, the camera's a lot less terrible than I was expecting, and the levels really are kind of fun to explore. It's a little weird that the remake starts you out with Yoshi, but I guess I can't really complain.

Jak and Daxter. I decided to give it a go randomly after seeing my friend play it. Since it's the HD collection, though, I was quickly moving towards Jak 2; there's just so much more meat to the sequel for me. I will of course, not forget how much like Conker, this dark masterpiece had such bright and innocent origins...

...then it was hilariously twisted into something grimdark and whatnot.

I got a ton of the Rayman series thanks to the PS+ sale and have Rayman, Rayman 2, and Origins on Vita alongside Rayman 3 HD and Hitman Absolution to get through on PS3.

Rayman really looks amazing on the Vita's OLED screen with the colors popping off it and with it being a 2d platformer, its controls adapt perfectly on the Vita from its original PS1 version.  Rayman 2 PSX is basically the DS version but with better colors and solid controls on the Vita; the PSX version of the game is notorious for being the worst version of its many, many ports but its portability and very cheep price makes it a good reason to play through the game on the 3rd platform I bought it for (others being the DS and PS2 Classics versions). Origins is amazing on the Vita and I loved playing through the game on my PS3 a year or so ago, so playing the best version of this great game is really awesome :)

Didn't play Hitman yet (as its file size is huge and Max Payne did not help free up space :() but I played Rayman 3 HD at a friends house a while back and liked it; its far from a bad game and its use of transformations on Rayman spice up the gameplay, but it's not better than Rayman 2, but with that game being great, that's kinda selfish to ask :)

I finally beat Alice Madness Returns, and its by far one of the most annoying games I have ever played :(

The game does the important stuff right (solid platforming, great combat, nice graphics, cool mini-games and gimmicks, ect) but it just felt like a slog to get through as the levels are way to long and all of its cool gimmicks aren't equally spread out and you end up repeating them a number of times (like the lovey Monkey Ball-esc doll puzzle with the broken physics). The story is also annoying; it starts out interesting and has the same dark tones as the original, but its all over the place and some of its best moments are just wasted (before Chapter 5, you walk around in an asylum with Alice in a straitjacket with important NPC's talking about you going back there and it had such an unnerving tone, then you go right back to platforming, makes perfect sense...).  Sorry for ranting over this guy's, but it really ticks me of when a game has so much potential for it to be wasted :(

Got Bit.Trip Runner 2 thanks to Plus and I plan to go back to beating Prince of Persia the Forgotten Sands and Rayman Origins Vita (really love how its colors just pop of the OLED screen), not to mention getting some of those Vita games currently on sale on NA PSN (Dynasty Warriors Next, Marimusa and Katamari are all games I never played before, so those will be a treat to play :)), so a lot of fun games to play till college kicks back in a two weeks.

Ah, my kind of topic.

I'm currently playing two different games right now. On my PS3 I'm still playing through Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes. I love these kind of games. The hack n slash of this game is a bit more devil may cry, this being capcom, than the more serious style that you get out of Dynasty Warriors, which I also love playing. The different stories that are different slightly from what really happens, which is shown in samurai warriors, is a nice change of something else to play, so I am definately enjoying it and if you enjoy this style, you will too.

On my GBAsp, I'm playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. I bought this game long ago, but never got very far into it because it was too different from the other final fantasy games. I've finally gotten back into it and am having a fun time with it. I can tell its going to take me a long time to get through it all, but I'm willing to do so now. This type of game now is a style I can have fun playing through instead of just wasting time like I thought it was in the past, and way too slow. It may still be slow, but its alot more fun to me now.

Got Ducktails and Touch My Katamari yesterday, so I'm playing through those alongside Metal Gear HD Collection, Monkey Ball, Marvel vs Capcom III and Dyansty Warriors Next on Vita next week (dat sale man biggrin.png).

Ducktails Remastered feels like a blast from the past; the characters voice actors do such a good job bring life back into Scrouge and company and I have to hand it to the original actors for coming back even though they are quite old (amazing Alan Young is 97 years old and still willing to voice McDuck). The gameplay is really fun and very challenging, as if you don't time your pogo jump, you could get hit and die (very fast with only three hit points), going back to the level select over and over again... I don't mind as it was my fault for not being careful and its quite refreshing to play a very Megaman-esc game that really pushes your gaming skills. The music is increadable and the graphics look like a playable cartoon. Its basically a really great game that I plan to beat on hard (if I can even beat a level....).

Katamari is....really weird. I knew that before jumping into the Vita version, but it quite something to play a game that makes you say "WTF" a number of times biggrin.png. The gameplay is fun though, as you roll crap up with qukey music playing in the background and its cool that you can use the touch screen to change the shape of the Katamari (helps a lot with trying to collect everything). Sadly, between hearing its short (I think 2-3 hours long) and filled with DLC crap (you have to "spend" fans to unlock nine DLC levels, but you have to grind for them in-game or pay money to get them), the game really isn't worth its full price point, which makes its 4 dollar price point well worth it.

Metal Gear HD Collection is going to be quite something as I have never played a Metal Gear Solid game before (tried MGS4, but never got into it :() and getting a portable version of UMvC 3 alongside getting a fun Monkey Ball game and either Dynasty Warriors Next or Dead or Alive 5 + will be great additions to my Vita library.

I finally beat Fire Emblem Awakening a couple of days ago. It's the first Fire Emblem game I've ever played, and I love it. LOVE IT. The ending is just...amazing. It gave me goosebumps, seriously,

Anyways after finishing that game I started Legendary Starfy which has been on hold for a long time. I'm enjoying it so far, it's cutesy and nice like the previous games but not amazing or anything. I've played Stafy 1 and 4 before, so I knew what to expect. X3

What am I not playing is a better question haha...  Lately I'm switching between Sleeping Dogs, Batman Arkham City, Darksiders 2, all the Megaman X games (beating them all again) X-Com and Dishonored.  Oh and Mass Effect 3 and the Assassin creed games.  But I go into moods for different games, hence why I am playing so many games at once.

Recently completed Tales of the Abyss, now working on Vesperia. Once I finish Vesperia I'll probably keep playing these games to do the extra content, I'm just trying to race through them so I can see the full main story without having to worry about spoilers online.

Just got Undine and Efreet. It doesn't appear they're used in battle, but I got them story-wise.
