Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing

You're not the only one, man. It says that for me too.

It's kind of annoying.

I think I got the glitch after beating the first few missions, I probably had to play as AiAi in one of them. What sucks for me is that since I have the Wii version there's no chance of any patches. Oh well, I'll always know in my head that it in reality it often changes up between Jacky & Akira and Ulala. :P

I just saw another really weird glitch...I was playing an offline race as the ChuChus on Roulette Road when Eggman suddenly shot by me at super high speed! Not like Sonic with level 3 boost fast, probably triple that. Amazing how he didn't hit any walls! He wasn't using his all-star move either. It was the last lap too and I never managed to catch up with him, he probably rocketed all the way to the finish line. Beat me by almost 10 seconds! I really wished I caught it on video, it reminded me of how Eggman outran Sonic and Tails in Sonic 3. The ChuChus are supposed to be using a "super-quick" rocket, but the doctor schooled them easily.

I just noticed I have the same favorite racer glitch as a few of our other forum goers. It's saying Aiai is my favorite racer too, even though Amigo clearly is.

Oh! I can see why a majority of tracks annot be done backwards, but I wonder what the possibility of mirrored tracks would be, as in same starting point, but all the rights are lefts. A literal mirror of the course. Of course, in-game signage (especially Tokyo-to) would be odd backwards. Plus I don't know how easy it would be to do such a thing.

HEY! I didn't post that there  How do I contest video uploads? Looking into it now...

Just posted this comment there -

Its not cool to steal other peoples videos and use them like they're your own. This is Barry the Nomad's or NomadJunkyard as he is known as at YouTube's video -

There's an Aiai favourite character glitch? That was my bad, I cursed all of your discs and save files while you were sleeping :P

I always play as Aiai on all versions so cant tell if its glitched on me

I'm sure there's a trophy glitch on my copy, the one where you have to win a race as each racer.

It says I've done seventeen out of twenty: two of those I just got from the shoppy-shop (which I've now cleaned out, hurrah) and so I know they're still to do. But I swear I've played and won at least one race with everybody else! Mainly 'cause most of them I deliberately threw the first lap to earn an All-Star, so I can unlock Fighters' Megamix, and all those races I went on to win. So what gives?

I know Fighters' Megamix is giving other people trouble, but anybody else had a problem with this trophy?

I haven't tried for that Trophy yet, we'll have to see if S0L can answer though he doesnt seem to do the rounds very often now the game is out.

SEGA Online give the game a 9/10 -

EDIT:

Crazy glitch in split-screen mode Kolma at YouTube has found in the Xbox 360 version -

Not come across this myself.

For those interested in the DS versions music, soniczeku has finished ripping all of the songs. Go HERE for a preview of the music, and also read the description :)

Just finished getting all the achievements, man that was easy, I've never fully achieved a game before xD

Very happy with my new Gamerscore of OVER NINETHOUSAAAAND. Some of the All-Star Moves required for "Fighters Megamix" were very hard to get right though.... So yeah, all I need to do is finish off all the Expert Grand Prix', and I'll have done everything there is to do... except for topping the leaderboards, but screw that xD

Prefer this game to Mario Kart fo' sho', just a shame about the lack of variation in the stages and lack of multiplayer modes like XBOX Live Guests or multiplayer Grand Prix.

Also the bikes can be a little silly.

I've got every achievement, across two Gamertags... I don't really want to pay for Gold XBL just for one game, so when I play online I use a new Gamertag I made for the demo. Got all the online achievements for that really quickly, and I got all the offline ones on my standard 'tag.

Thanks Shadz! I PM'd the guy and reported the video. I was about to ignore it, but one comment got to me when a user said that stealing videos from other accounts was standard internet practice and not to fight it. Yeah, not while I'm around.

I'm starting to get hit more and more frequently with network errors either right before, during, or right after races.

I just got randomly signed out of the PlayStation Network as I was just about to cross the finish line in first. :\

So apparently, while I haven't gotten to play the game much due to college (but dammit, if I don't try!) I have encountered a couple of glitches among the lines like the other ones posted here.

I think the most notable one was unlocking the Power Drift challenge, and the requirements included to drift for "fifteen seconds." After viewing my license, I saw that I performed a 15.04 second drift, but the achievement wasn't completed. It wasn't until I had a race with the Bonanza Bros. that it decided to consider it unlocked.

I have had funny things happen while racing, mostly getting stuck in corners which I couldn't escape while putting the vehicle in reverse, and landing on platforms and the game considering that I was "out" and re-starting my previous position. I think the most memorable was as Dr. Eggman when he landed straight on the track and the game considered it as a full blown out. Another was as AiAi and after a boost jump, he skid off the track, bounced, and re-landed on the track again; that too was considered an out.

On a completely different note, the more and more I think about it.. Jet would actually be a pretty decent addition as far as Sonic characters go for DLC. This game has a distinct lack of hovercraft characters and his board from Zero Gravity would suit him and the gameplay system just fine.

I'm not sure about his All-Star move though.

Landmaster.

Yeah Jet would fit the bill, but he's really not very popular or widely liked. Out of all the "new" characters, Shadow is the most popular, but other than Big noone else is anywhere to be seen, with good reason too.

Blaze would be a better choice, everyone loves Blaze, and her Final Smash All-Star Move would be pretty easy to work out aswell.

I know it'll likely never happen, but I'd like to see Espio get some love as DLC. He'd be a good throwback to the classic era as well as being one of the more popular modern characters (in my opinion, at least!).

I'd imagine he'd ride a bike (no specific reason why) and his All Star Move would be BEHOLD! NINJA POWER! followed by throwing shurikens and leaf spinning awesomeness. Or maybe he calls in his Chaotix team mates - they'll kick your Team Chaotix! :P

Him, or Segata Sanshiro and Ristar. Not that I can actually get DLC, being a Wii-only owner, but it would be nice to see nevertheless.

OK guise, this has been on my mind since I got the game and it's really bugging me now....

When you finish a race on the Sonic Casino stage, you hear a little bit from a very familiar Sonic song, but what is it from!? D: I thought for ages it was from a Sonic Advance game, but I listened through all the SAdv soundtracks and I can't find it.

Oh god where is it from. Help. D:

The song is "Enemy or Friend" from Sonic Rush:

EDIT: I quite like the version of this track used in the Sonc Rush demo :P

EDIT2: actually, this track would sound awesome in the casino levels, don't you think? :o

The song is "Enemy or Friend" from Sonic Rush:

Thank you!

Now I remember it, there was a version for the original Sonic Rush trailer/footage

It did sound a bit like Sonic Advance music, and it was almost completely unused in the end, they remixed it a bit for the cutscene where Blaze appears.

OK now I can sleep.

After I get AAA on mission 42 (the only particularly hard mission in the game), I'm never touching mission mode again.

It's painfully monotonous, annoying, and generally un-fun.

Edit: My goodness, that took me an hour and fifteen minutes. Well whatever.. it's over now.

Unbelievable that they didn't use the Leaf Storm beta music anywhere else, it's just about the only good song in Sonic Rush (other than Jeh Jeh Rocket which I'm kinda fond of) and it's one of my favorite Sonic level theme music.

Well, I had achieved almost all of the achievements sometime last week. All I've got left are just the Fighter Megamix (haven't bothered with it yet) and anything to do with online, due to not having a Gold Membership. Also surprising hat I actually almost managed 100% on achievements on a game. I could barely get 50% done half the time.

Ah well. Tis a good game, which I think I'll be coming back to every now and again (and unless I get a gold membership, I won't be playing this game with anybody else, especially both brothers who aren't too keen on it)

Speaking of glitches, the only ones I recall happening occurs after doing a jump. Not sure if it's a glitch or not, but whenever I sometimes do a super boost jump, and doing tricks in the air, the racer will sometimes do a giant bounce instantly after landing. Not sure what's the beef behind that, but I thought I'd mention it, unless it's already is.

I see S0L online, what do you think of my trick with the boardwalks on the Monkey Target track?

Pics here -

How's the DLC coming along? If you're allowed to talk about it of course :)

EDIT: He's gone

Update: my trophy glitch wasn't a trophy glitch at all. I just randomly assumed I'd have obviously won something as Tails before, which I hadn't! Whoops!

There's lots of fresh DLC character talk: my picks are still Silver the Hedgehog and Jet the Hawk for Sonic-verse characters (might repair some of the damage made by Big the Cat), although I'd like to second whoever said Espio the Chameleon, too... he'd be awesome! His All-Star could be turning invisible and chucking ninja stars at everybody!

Still, most important to me would be DLC music. Yeah, I'm nuts, I know.

I think the game has enough sonic characters already TBH (including the only one that matters, big). SEGA has a broad cast outside of Sonic, I'd like to see them make some appearances.

Maybe even some randoms from Valkyria in a tank, that'd be pretty sweet haha
