Yeah, the Big pots level is easy peasy. I got AA first try, haven't tried for AAA, but my one mistake was a rather stupid one on my part.

I realised today that im bored of this game, the tracks are too similar. three casino levels their all the same my friend couldn't tell the difference and thought it was odd

2 jet set radio levels basically the same shibuya downtown and the night one, all the final fortress stages seem the same bland and boring never liked sandy drifts I like treetops and monkey target and lava lair. like lost palace and whale lagoon don't like ocean ruin the underwater tunnel goes on for far too long, i like all the house of the dead levels but still just think it shouldn't have been focussed on these ip's and instead have a variety of tracks with different ip's anyway this game was still a lot of fun when i got it but it could have been so much more.

8/10

one last thing, how do i delete my account?

i hate how everyone is calling it a mario type game i think should rename the this genres from Kart racing games to Mario Type Racing Games

Yeah some of these reviews just really annoy me as they seem to think Mario Kart owns this genre and no-one else is allowed to make a game for the genre. Its like they look at the game and then they say (quote from Big the Cat in ASR) "Heeey, you cant do thaaat!"

PS3 fans, another good review from The Sixth Axis: 8/10

To comment on something from 2 pages back, why do you guys assume that Nakamura owns the rights to the music? That music has been remixed and reused many times in the past. SA2, Sonic Advance 1 and 3, SEGA Superstars Tennis, and probably some more.

What, your Sonic Stadium account? Are you already bored of the forums as well? :P

Right, just beat all the Staff Ghost times in one sitting. X3 Will aim to do the same on the DS version tomorrow.

Now I just need to AAA every mission (got at least an A on all of them, quite a few AAA's already) and get the rest of the Challenges/ Achievements/ Trophies etc (got 37/50 so far).

I also want to try and rank first in every Grand Prix on every difficulty, even though the game doesn't seem to acknowledge or reward you for doing so (I'm already listed as 100% completion for Grand Prix).

I've heard some of the tracks are similar. Is it like Sonic Riders where the second track in a world is a carbon copy of the first one, or is the problem that the backgrounds themselves are too similar rather than the stage layout.

The stages aren't similar at all, other than design. The layouts are totally different, it's just a handful of the stages all look about the same. Visual similarity is about as far as it goes.

Nah. The JSRF and Monkey Ball tracks are VERY different, the Samba de Amigo and the HOTD Curien Mansion tracks are different "areas" of a larger world (Samba has mountains, TV studio and city. Curien has graveyard, mansion and sewers). The Sonic tracks are also like this. I personally see Whale Lagoon as SA1, Lost Palace as Sonic (1991) and Ocean Ruin as Sonic Heroes.

Wholeheartedly disagree there. All three of them are more Seaside Hill than anything, just with a few clever spins. Whales do not SA1 make and lots of grass does not mean Sonic 1. They're just very creative versions of Seaside Hill with a few nostalgia kicks. The whales were in Heroes doing the same thing as in this game (just looking pretty) and all three stages are littered with Labyrinth Zone bricks.

Only part of Whale lagoon that reminds me of SA1 is the part leading to the loop, looks like the place in SA1 just before you go trough the Whale Dash Pads.

Oh Boy i just payed i vist to the shittest sonic news website TSSZNEWS and saw one of the most retarded news EVER lmao

Last week, TSSZ News reader Mugendude26 pointed out that the concepts give a hint to an even more obscure Sega title– Toy Commander, published exclusively on the Sega Dreamcast in 1999. The game had players take control of various toys and complete missions around the house in the frame of the toy commander Andy.

what the hell didnt that developer(No Cliché)of that game close down or something plus its more like avatar props to me

The best way to describe it is that while there are 24 tracks in the game, they are only made up of 8 different themes. Think of it like zones in a Sonic game. There are 8 themes (zones) with 3 tracks (acts) of each. While each individual track has a different layout, they use the same props/textures/styles.

There are some variations though. For example every Super Monkey Ball track looks totally different, and while Billy Hatcher's first two tracks are icy, the third one is a totally different lava track.

Almost every track does have some tell-tale exclusive feature though. Final Fortress' tracks are set at sunset/inside/during a storm for example, despite using the same textures and props.

I've worked out another secret trophy.

Using the same system as Shadzter...

Trophy: Feel the Magic

Rank: Bronze

Description: Use Amy's All-Star Move to send Sonic dizzy with love!

I meant they're all Seaside Hill, but have leanings towards the games mentioned above. Doesn't Lagoon even have a little beach before the finish line? Reminded me of the intro to Emerald Coast.

Anywho, were another 3D Sonic to come round, I'd love to see levels designed the way they were in this game. Tkae a look at the pre-race flyarounds and imagine a 3D platformer there. Ahh...

A quick mop up then...

I have yet to play all tracks. I don't own the game yet :( I'll get it by the end of the month, though...:)

S0L is here! I have a question S0l. I hope you know the answer..

I live in Germany, so if I get the German version (For 360), can I still switch to english voices? Or am I stuck with the German announcer?

Change the system language and it will change the in-game language. Apparently the French commentator is actually quite funny. Or so I am told!

Y'know those "hidden" trophies on the PlayStation3 version? Yeah, I got one! :D

Don't know if anybody else has talked about this before, but I was super-happy when this random trophy popped up and I was all "Hold on, I don't recognise that...?!" I got it totally by accident, too (well, obviously, since I didn't know about it). Was doing the Grand Prix again after yesterday, was on Final Fortress - Dark Arsenal and cheekily attempted one of those epic jumps while in a comfortable lead. When I was finally respawned on the track, I was in last place... oops. So grabbed an All-Star Move pretty sharpish and got to work regaining ground.

Trophy: "Sonic Unleashed"

Rank: Bronze

Description: Use Sonic's All-Star Move to take out Dr. Eggman and show him who's boss!

This has now made me insanely curious as to the other hidden trophies and, more specifically, what they could be? I wonder if this has a connection to some of the more cryptic "Sonic Says..." hints during the loading screens, like the one about the ChuChus having a problem with a giant cat or Ryo Hazuki showing himself to be the best martial artist? Perhaps that means two of the others involve using the ChuChus and Ryo during an All-Star to decimate Big the Cat and Jackie, respectively?

Has anybody else unlocked any more of these, and what did you have to do?! I must know!

I see some of you have already provided tips here, but pay attention to what Sonic says. If it seems cryptic or weird, it's probably pointing you at how to get some of the hidden Achievements :P

Until you have beat all the Sumo Ghosts (not the default ones...) you've not seen how to *really* play the game :P

I played a game earlier discovered something that would probably irritate the rest of the people in the game a bit.

I think it's the Billy Hatcher map, the one that has that shortcut where you fall of the edge onto the wooden structure after a few jumps and some turns. At one point the track gets a bit narrow. If any player has the SUPER HORN and they use it on a narrow bit early in the game (like I did) when players tend to be grouped together, the blast acts almost like an all star move, it spins everyone out, the other player is then able to get that far ahead that it's impossible to catch him, even if catch up is on. So long as that player uses the shortcut even if everybody else uses the shortcut to, theres no way to catch that other player, not unles he totally spins out. Even if he falls off the side (like I did), they won't catch him.

Either the people in my game were amazingly rubbish, or the SUPER HORN makes winning on Billy Hatcher easy!

Where did TSSZ get the idea that Metal Sonic is going to be in the game? He doesn't even give a source.

*still waiting for Sonic Sneakers as Avatar DLC*

Seriously though, I really hope they get some more characters in the mix, that would boost the games sales by (Sega) Miles. ;)

The obvious choices would be RIstar, Toejam+Earl, Vectorman, Comix Zone guy (forgot his name :P)...still, the choices that are in the game are perfect already. :)

I JUST figured that out tonight and was coming to post. I was trying to figure out what the last 2 secret trophies I needed were and I recalled Sonic talking about the characters related to the 3 secret trophies I had. So I payed attention to the other characters he mentions, and (after a little brain work) I now have all the secret trophies without using Internet assistance. B)

Why are we checking a boys blog again for news... the bloke who made the game is down there looking at the topic!

I actually want Blaze Fielding in the game driving the cop car, with Axel holding a bazooka on the back. Or Chuck Rock. Mind you, it wouldn't suprise me if we saw someone from Golden Axe popping up.
