The princess he wants to bring to life might be how Blaze is brought into Boom. Or maybe it's Sally in there if we don't end up seeing her.

And yes, I find it funny that Sanic is referenced.

While I would totally love Blaze to be in Boom, it's specifically a game character, and Blaze has never been shown to be in a castle. And Sally, that's like a different dimension from another dimension, way too complicated. Idk, it's more likely it's just Peach.

Another reason no Sally is because Freiberger and the Boom crew don't have the rights to use characters from other Sonic media outlets, no Archie/Fleetway/SatAM/AoStH/X/OVA.

So what did everyone think about Nominatus's henchmen Retro and Beta? I liked them, and thought they made great companions for Nominatus. I'm guessing Retro is voiced by Roger Craig Smith, while Beta is voiced by Travis Willingham? Although Retro is most likely voiced by Roger Craig Smith, his voice is pretty distinct in this show, it doesn't sound too similar to other voices we've heard in the show. Beta sounds exactly like the warthog villager from this show, and if I'm not mistaken, he was voiced by Travis Willingham (the voice of Knuckles, Soar the Eagle, and Old Monkey.)

Oh Google Automated Captions, your bad translations never fail to make me laugh.

Right, it's time I did my catch up on the latest Sonic Boom episodes. From Robot Employees to Nominatus Rising. I stated detailed thoughts about these episodes on Tumblr so I'm gonna be quick on this one:

  • Robot Employees: Found it to be a straightforward episode. I found the "I told you so dance" to be funny, as well as Eggman's blunt response to send everyone to space.

tumblr_inline_oogidxBsBf1taxesp_500.gif

  • Give Bees a Chance: Honestly the best episode of the bunch. I felt it was a Buster part 2, but done right. The Roger joke was the winner, with some cute moments and then Amy went nuts after Bea was destroyed again.
  • Mombot: Okay episode, the "momtage" was cute, the expressions were nice, but the ending felt rushed. Beth the Shrew was cute though!
  • Muckfoot: I wasn't too fond of this episode. Mainly because of how easy it was to find out that Knuckles was Muckfoot. (Found that out once Tails tried to get pictures of him.) Though Sticks and TW Barker's roles were alright, I still found it to be weak.

Now Nominatus Rising was an alright episode. We got to see more of Nominatus and the two assistants, and what other abilities he has, such as firing lasers and making barriers. The references here were alright, the Princess Peach one was pretty funny! I also liked how the team took care of Miss Tomatopotamus and Knuckles adopting her later on. Miss Tomatopotamus assisting the team later on against Nominatus was neat.

I also liked the Caterpixels, their designs and abilities, I was hoping they would be called Caterkillers but at least Caterpixels sounds better than *insert animal/insect* bot. Retro and Beta didn't do much of an impact for me, I felt that they were just there. It would have been better if we got a small flashback on how Nominatus survived and met his two assistants, (since the last time we saw him, his head blew up over Rock Donut Thursday)

Team Sonic getting some new allies/pets makes me wonder if they're gonna all show up for a big resistance fight during the season finale. Maybe that could happen!

So Eggman's Brother is up next, and that means it's time to avoid spoilers again!

Saw the latest episode...online. No longer have boomerang on my t.v so..

Anyway, I thought is alright. Didn't have as many laughs but I enjoyed it for what it was. I gotta say that little hippopotamus is such a darn cutie.

Eh, I thought it was kinda weak to be honest. I got a few chuckles but it wasn't one of the stronger episodes this season. The "certain princess in a castle I'd like to meet" and "All those weird pictures of me" lines were pretty funny though.

Ah yes, I too haven't posted my thoughts on the past couple Boomisodes.

Robot Employees is an alright episode, first half was pretty meh. Not many jokes there, thought there was some nice background jokes like the wrong slide being a reference to Freiberger's issue on the shortlived Archie Boom comics or the piece of cake joke, nothing gut busting but I found those jokes amusing. But when it started with Eggman pretty much setting Meh Burger into space, that's when the episode started to get better. I mean, when you think about it if it weren't for Sticks and Dave to not be at the Meh Burger party, the entire village would be jettisoned into space. A lot of people really seem to give a Boom Eggman a lot of shit for being incompetent and pathetic but some of the Season 2 episodes really showcase that Eggman is quite the cunning genius. But yeah, the second half was much better. A lot of nice jokes, like "Don't tell me what to do, you're not my mom's boyfriend" or Eggman just enjoying the peace while Cubot and Orbot doing adorably silly stuff in the background. Also that subtle Big Red Button metajoke, fucking ace m8! The rescue was a nice action scene as well.

Overall, Robot Employees was a decent episode that just had a weak first half.

Give Bees a Chance, yeah that's another strong favorite of the season for me as well! Cindy Robinson gave a strong episode for her first attempt at writing!

Not even a minute and a half in and there's already 2 great jokes along with a subtle Sonic reference. Seeing Amy having a jolly ol' time with Bea is just the cutest thing ever and it's heartbreaking to see her so down when Eggman took Bea back from her. Amy's easily the highlight in this episode. Can't say much about it because it was just a really good episode. I mean, it's amazing that it's Amy that doesn't fall for the Gogoba's gulit-tripping tactics. Seeing Knux taking care of Herman was just downright precious. And seeing Sonic and the others trying to make Amy feel better was sweet of them even if it didn't work out. I guess it comes to show that Sonic and the others aren't really comfortable with being open with their emotions when Amy's the only one that's all for it. So in a sense, Amy really is the "heart" of the team like her main series counterpart along with the archaeological background, acrobatics and has a giant fucking hammer.

So yeah, Give Bees a Chance. A damn good episode!

MOMBOT!

Yet another very sweet episode, Mombot is just precious! Makes me wish my mother was just as sweet and supportive (HA FUNNY! ;-;) but really surprised to hear Eggman's theme from the main games in the episode, that was a nice touch! Seeing Knux and Tails bro out near the end of the episode and seeing Beth interact with the gang was fun. I will agree that the episode just decided to end but it wasn't that bad of an ending, could've been better tho. Nothing much outside of that.

Mombot was a very sweet episode that just ended awkwardly.

Time to search for more clues for Muckfoot!

Another really good episode, nice to see more interactions between Tails and Sticks and it's amusing how Sticks is the logical one while Tails is speaking nonsense, I liked that! Just found it hilarious how there is no explanation why Eggman is wearing clown makeup at the middle of the night, now that's how you do random humor! Also nice to see Barker being the main villain for the episode and it makes sense why he would take advantage of the whole Muckfoot Madness. A lot of nice jokes as well! Burke and Wyatt did a really good job writing this episode!

And we gots Nominatus Rising!

And I don't really get why people are saying this is a weak episode, I thought it was pretty good! Nice to see Nominatus back again because I swear I thought he died at the end of Let's Play Musical Friends. Retro and Beta are alright, I guess. Not as endearing as Orbot and Cubot but I'm sure if we see them more, we'll grow to like them more. Seeing Sonic and crew having fun with Ms. Tomatopotamus was fun and cute as well! And seeing Eggman's bots fend off against Nominatus' Caterpixels, we could use more robot v robot action in this show more! Liked the jokes here, the the joke about the porn/fetish art of Sonic, the obvious Mario joke and lowkey the gender stereotype joke Knuckles made was also pretty fun!

Can't wait to see ol' Steve Eggman later this week!

I remember back when Closed Door Policy aired it got leaked online with english dialogue by watching the french channel and changing the language somehow. Can that be done for all the new episodes?

What's "In Less Than 3 Minutes" about? The name makes me think we'll get something similar to Late Fees.

In less than 3 minutes focuses on Sonic, who gets a job at Meh Burger as the delivery person, and assures customers they'll get their food in less than 3 minutes. Eggman will prolly be involved in it.

I think that's what the summary said. It kinda sounds like Late fees, since it involves Sonic getting something to a place, and getting caught by other shenanigans.

No, what happened was that Australia managed to release the English version before CN did, because CN was too lazy to bother airing that, and Curse of the Cross Eyed Moose, despite the fact it was clearly ready to air on TV already...

It really bums me out to know those who are tuning into new episodes of Sonic Boom are only getting half of a new episode that already aired weeks in advance for France. Not only did France get 6 episodes before us, with only one of those 6 episodes already airing in English as of a few days ago, but France is still getting more episodes, and they get 2 new episodes a week... I freaking hate how America runs television, it is overpriced, and does not deliver... It really ticks me off to know I spent over $182 a month since October, just to get 1 new episode a week, while France got all of that and more within a short span of 2 days! France aired the first half of season 2 within 2 days, and are still getting more. Imagine how great that would have been for those with Sling TV, to have spent $28, just to get all of those episodes within a short span of 2 days... That's what really ticks me off, American TV is a big fat rip off! We should not have to pay so much, for so little, while other countries are practically handed these episodes, while actually getting promotions for the show.

Correctamundo!

Though my gut feeling is telling me that the episode won't be similar to Late Fees. We'll have to see. The episodes air at 6 AM EST tomorrow morning.

Beware of spoilers!

So I just found out on Tumblr that the Hotel Eggman episode and the 3 mins one didn't air in France.

It was the Bags and Thunder Bowlers episodes. To clarify: The Bags episode has Eggman attack Sonic and crew with his smallest robots and the Thunder Bowler episode has team Sonic verses the Lighting Bolts over Bowling I think.

SPOILERS:

Spoiler

The robots in the Bags episode actually infect Sonic and crew, causing them to move around oddly and making faces???

Aw... Does this mean Amy doesn't get to bowl? Why does everyone have an outfit but her, is she a coach or something? I was hoping to see all five of them get a chance to bowl, but it looks like Amy has to sit it out...

I wish there was a way to watch these episodes, thanks for leaving us hanging, CN and Boomerang...

Is there a good reason why Sonic Boom isn't airing on Cartoon Network now? The show has to come back to CN eventually. SEGA themselves said "The Boomerang premieres will replay on Cartoon Network.".

That's a question that not even the Boom producers can answer.

Just having it back on CN isn't going to be good enough, if they're just going to keep showing very late reruns at 5:00 in the morning... This show needs to get caught up with France, and air 2 new episodes a week. This show is made in cooperation with US and France, so it would be nice to see the show get a well balanced treatment on both sides. At this rate France has 32 season 2 episodes aired, and only 20 left to air, France will have aired all of season 2 in 10 weeks, which would be June 20th, about 2 months from now, if they keep airing 2 new ones a week. As for America, they have 28 episodes left to air, and if they keep releasing only one new episode per week, it will take them until October 28th, just to air the season finale! Jeesh! It will take America 6 months to air all of Season 2 from now, and by the time the finale airs in English, it will have already been 4 months since it aired in France, that is bull crap!...

Spoiler

Sonic becomes obsessed with bowling in the episode. It's actually pretty funny to watch.

He makes that face at the end of the episode when he scares off the Lightning Bolt Society.
