Would have loved this. 45 Minutes was a really tricky time to try and cram so much into!  The Twitch version (1 hr) was much better there, as it afforded a lot more time for the guests to go into

Really doubting it's something like SA3. That would probably be bad to more than "a handful of fans" given how exasperated most of the fanbase is by SA3 chatter by now and especially with attitudes on SA2 changing.

If this is something game related, I'm guessing this is either going to be something to do with a classic-styled game that we've been hypothesising about or something in the ball park of the boost formula. Only since those seem to be the two least divisive styles Sonic's had, they'd probably upset the least amount of people.

Omgosh...so there is going to be some Sonic news this week? IT'S A MIRACLE.

But...I'm keeping my expectations lowwww before I get too excited and end up being disappointed again. Though, surely it can't be that bad..right?

Eh, I'd welcome a continuity reboot. I couldn't give less of a shit about it's current continuity. Right now, as long as the game is good, I'm happy.

Maybe a Generations 2, or something that's basically a Generations sequel in all but the name? I know that would be disappointing, even if the game itself is technically high quality.

Either way, I'm loving all of this. I wish that Gene didn't say that TimmiT was basically exaggerating. D:

Given that both classic and modern fans are both pretty prominent in the fanbase, I doubt that it will be anything regarding either of those two getting preference or reboots if the "small handful of fans" comment is anything to go by.  

Off the top of my head, I can't think of much else this could be other than console exclusivity or a gameplay style change.

Like I said, if SEGA do a console exclusive at this point, Sony's their best bet. I doubt they'll go back to Nintendo with an NX release date unlike to hit the 25th Anniversary securely, and the Wii U proving bad for them in the past.

I dunno but..I haven't been this excited since Sonic Boom character designs were revealed. Feels like it was ages ago. Damn I wanna be positively excited though, it better be something that makes me feel positive about Sonic again.
