Spent an hour trying to kill the final boss, Greedy you piece of shit

This is the second time I have ever beaten this game, and the first time I managed to do it without having to resort to level select after using up all of my continues.

Here I am again =P

Entry Number 6 on my list of games to play through during this event. This time it is Rocket Knight Adventures =)

This one was a little frustrating since I have to go through it three times pretty much before I beat it fully. I kept running out of lives while playing it, yet on my third one, I didn't use any continues and ended up with like 11 lives at the end of the game. Yeah, from rather bad to awesome, wasn't expecting that.

Well, here we go. Onto the next one! I will get more badges =3

You had one hell of an adventure, Kirby! You deserve some well earned rest.

So, going for the white bordered KSS badge. I was going to attempt to get the golden one, but I get really impatient when it comes to the Great Cave Offensive, so screw that! Any Kirby badge is good enough for me.

Hmmm... Maybe I should go for a Sonic badge next?

Slam, bam, thank you ma'am, I beat Sonic the Hedgehog 2 at last! I conquered the Metropolis, I collected all seven Chaos Emeralds, I defeated Eggman, and I crashed his Death Egg!

Since ALttP came out on Wii U VC today, I'll be tackling that next... Either that, Yoshi's Island, or Super Mario World.

Yes, I've completed Bonanza Bros. for the first time and on normal difficulty too (that itself is an achievement).

Sadly I don't have a camera and my PS2 version aka the only legit version that I have of this great game is in storage so it would have to do (decided to take a full print screen out of fairness). Since the competition is the 16-bit games, I had to rule out the superior arcade original version, the Sharp X68000 version, the PC Engine version and the PS2 version so I had to go for the Mega Drive/Genesis version that is missing stages, the graphics aren't as good, slight glitchy collision detection (costed some lives), a sound looping bug on the Bonanza Bros. Duty song and bad Engrish such as Faild and Underground Gold Bars. It goes to show that even a worse version of the game can still turn out good if the gameplay is still the same and luckily it is. I suppose in the future, I can always try to play the original and see if I can beat that game.

Now as for the Sonic award, well... See if I can beat Sonic 1 however had that game for over 16 years and have yet to complete it getting as far as Labyrinth Act 2 or 3 then all the lives are gone. (awful player, always have and will) If not then Sonic 2 that also took 16 years however managed to beat it without Emeralds this year (yay) so I can always play it again for this competition.

Didn't think I would be able to do this one... (Can probably count the number of times I've beaten this on my fingers), but managed in the end!

The Escape can go and screw itself with a corkscrew though...

I remember myself enjoying and beating Streets of Rage many many times, so I decided to run Streets of Rage III for my first time (never played any of the sequels for some reason) and finally put Mr.X down for good.

The thing is, the game kicked my ass in many many ways, I could barely get to the 3rd stage wasting all the continues and with 5 lives.

So I changed to easy dificulty like the wimpy casual I am. And of course, I got the bad ending for doing so. ;-;

One day I'll come back for you Mr.X! *shakes fists angrily*

Tho IIRC the villain of this game isn't X.

This made me feel pretty bad, but thanks to a status reply Hogfather sent me I decided to boot the 1st one (he told me the SoR III was quite hard, so I decided to try my luck with other easier installments)

Talk about cutting it close...

I probably wasted countless of my lives and continues fighting Mona and Lisa (especially the second time before Mr.X), I just couldn't seem to dodge nor land a hit to them. >_>

So I had to cheat and check a little video.

S'my turf bioch, >:L.

Anyways the Lion King for the Sega Genesis is one of my favorite games on the system. Holds a super special place in my heart since it's one of the few games my dad enjoyed playing with me growing up. Two decades later still manage to know most, if not all the little secrets and hints and junk, though it'd be fair to say I was a bit rusty (friggin' Simba's Return level I couldn't remember the door order for the life of me). But yeah, still just as fun tossing Scar off the cliff as it was nearly 20 years ago.

Time for me again ^^;

This will be entry # 7. Yes, this time I broke out an emulator for this game, but I used to play this game all the time back in my renting days and I plan to eventually by it for my personal collection eventually. This would be playing through the Great Cave Offensive in Kirby Super Star. I went ahead and got all of the collectables and exited the cave to finish it off. This game is as fun as it always was when I was a kid, though I did have some slow down in it alot. I can't remember if that was how the game was or if that was just the emulator slowing down though. Oh well, onto the next!

Here I am yet again XD I'm on fire it would seem.

Entry #8, I did Aladdin on Genesis. I luckily did it without getting any game overs, but it was just luck that I didnt. I blew like four continues on the Escape level, because it is a massive pain. I'm just glad it is easy to get a free continue on the final level with Jaffar. Well, that is another one down and even more to go =3

~A whole new gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame...is what I'll need now that I'm throuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh. Took me about an hour, but this game has power. It trumps a lot of movie games.~

*Clears throat* Well, anyway, I hadn't played this game in yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaars and this was my first time actually beating it. Suffice to say, it was just as great and charming as I remembered it. (Though, I had a bit of a memory refresher from the Grumps playthrough.) I was a bit out of practice, though. When I hit Jafar, I only had one life and no continues left. tongue.png Still, I didn't have to use any of the passwords that I unlocked, so I was good enough, I guess. laugh.png
