Sonic & Knuckles completed, played as Knuckles.

Like a boss.

 

I failed the second Emerald stage twice, which was worrying. Meant I had to take Sonic's route in Lava Reef Act 1 to get to the Special Stage, which was my last chance to get my seventh Emerald. It was a bit of squeaky bum time...

 

Then, oddly enough, I found a Water Shield. Been playing this game nearly 20 years, and I've never seen a Water Shield in Lava Reef before. I love that I can still find new things in this.

Hey hey I'm back yet again with another entry XD Gunstar Heroes. Yeah this game had way too many "final bosses" ugh. But it's done and over with so yeh.

Alright, here we go. Entry # 10 for me.

 

This one took me a little while, but I had done it before. I need to pick up the pace a bit it would seem. This other guy is getting way too many more than I am at the moment, so I need to play more if I can.

 

This game was fun as always, but you do need a guide in a spot or two to help you in a few cryptic parts where it doesn't tell you what to do, but for the most part it is still a fun game and you can get most of the stuff in it with little trouble at all. It was good to go through it again though. Onto the next one!

My next entry is no other than Gunstar Heroes!

 

 

 

I must confess I really, really, enjoyed my time with this game, a bit on the short side and most of the stages could be cleared by just running forward and blindly shooting (turns out, that's not possible in the space-ship one), for a moment I thought I somehow put the game in easy difficulty but nope, it was in normal so I guess the game was just designed that way.

 

Still, as I said before, I really enjoyed my time playing this, it has a very nice weapon system that lets you make combinations betwee 4 weapons for multiple ways of shooting down your enemies, but you are not limited to only this weapons since the game also incorporates some melee attacks like air slams, slides and even throws! It was pretty fast paced and action packed.

 

Some very good arcade-y fun.

 

I think next time I'm going to play Rocket Knight Adventures and then switch to Nintendo games.

Well this has to be another quick one again, it's me again XD

 

Entry # 11, I completed Tetris Attack. I beat all six stages and Bowser. I didn't get a snap shot of Bowser before he died because I couldn't get the camera fast enough, but I did show the credits and the secret tip the game gives you for beating Bowser. Hopefully this counts. I only struggled a tad on Level 6, but that's it. The game isn't too hard as long as you are quick and know how to work it. Onto another one later on.

Did a playthrough of Sonic 1 on Sonic Generations earlier. For those of you wondering: “But GreatAndPowerful, why did you pick the Backbone port of Sonic 1 of all things?” I chose it because I wanted to try and beat my high score. Sadly, I did not (I was about 20,000 points short). However, this was the first time I’ve been able to get all of the Chaos Emeralds on the Backbone port of this game. I got them all on my first try too.

 

I think I’ll go for Super Mario World next.

Always admired this version of Panel De Pon because of the Yoshi's Island theme, but this was my first time actually playing it through. (Well, I played on Easy because I was worried that my skills from Pokémon Puzzle League and Challenge would be rusty, but you get the point. ) Same classic gameplay that I remember from the other games. Graphics and music are quite charming, too.

Completed Super Metroid in 10:44 on this first playthrough. Dunno if that's average or not, but I certainly had fun while completing it.

 

I think I'll play Yoshi's Island next, haven't played that game in a while.

I've never actually finished Kirby Super Star before, but it was a fun game. Really fun! I know there's more to do afterwards but this is the Ultra version after all.

 

Oh, and I got all the treasures in the Great Cave Offensive. :3 Next up: SMW (GBA version), Sonic 1, the Lion King, Aladdin maybe? We'll see.

Yep, I'm on a roll at the moment still.

 

Entry # 12, Bonanza Brothers for genesis being played on Sonic's Ultimate Genesis collection.

 

This is the first time I ever beat this game ,so unlike some of the other games on this list, I do feel a bit more accomplished for beating this one. The game isn't too hard once you get the hang of it and know how quick you can move when you want to as well. Since you can actually sneak a little too much in this game, once you learn you don't have to sneak heavily, the game does seem to get a lot easier, though I'm glad I did up the lives a bit while I was learning this stuff. I'll need to buy this game physically one day.

 

Oh well, onto the next one and to have more fun. =)
