Mario & Luigi 4 (Dream Team)!

Hm, with this in mind, I wouldn't be surprised if they used the whole "going into Luigi's dreams" deal to bring back some past enemies as (at least) post-game challenges. I certainly wouldn't mind it if they did something like that.

To be honest there is a whole book of possibilities when it comes to dreams. So you never know. I for one don't mind the white style boxart. It kind of draws your focus to the center of the image which is Luigi dreaming of himself and his future children. Plus the bat

I like how a couple of the Luigis are doing different things, and exactly ONE of them notices the bat thing.

Love the box art. While I prefer the colorful montages as well (PiT's B-movie poster-esque one, especially), the art is still cute and the coloring is nice, vibrant, and eye-catching. Definitely looking extremely forward to picking this up. happy.png

Hm, I presume that slasher-smiling bat thing flying over Mario is the main villain?

Yup. Meet Antasma:

I will be honest I only slightly played Superstar Saga but there is something about this game that just draws me too it. I guess it comes down to me being a Luigi supporter. But this game has my full attention I will be looking for to more info at E3

I thought I read somewhere that Luigi would have dreams about the villains from the other games, meaning you'd fight Shroobs and Cackletta.

I wonder if Wario and Waluigi are finally going to make their "this is so fucking obvious how have you not done it yet" appearances as a "Mirror Boss".

Dammit, ever since BiS, they've been really lazy with the NA boxart.

That French language logo box spoils it.

Some are saying its the Canadian edition

No nose bubbles for the American audiences. Fair enough, even tho I like it. Gotta say I really love the M & L box arts drawing style, I wish more Nintendo had that kind of variety in their artwork. Walk into the DS aisle at any store and ya see a bunch of the same damn Mario renders staring at ya.

Too bad they're just taking the Japanese boxart. Western SS and PiT looked a lot in better.

I like it. It's simple but has a lot of character and charm oozing out of it.

I like the boxart, but it's so annoying seeing the gap between the two Luigis on the bottom right. The one between them literally has no body.

It's not a gap, it's the head of a hammer one of the Luigis is holding.

I would love to see alt skins as DLC like Luigi's Casino Attire and Dr. Mario, maybe they could be the reward of a sidequest or boss rush.

Huh. So it is! Never noticed that; thanks for clearing it up. It seriously annoyed me, but now it doesn't because I actually know what's going on.

I guess I'm one of the few here who also likes the boxart. It's very simple, but I like the character artwork and their expressions. It has a lot of charm. At least it's not more of those typical Mario renders. God he's even worse than Sonic in that category.

I preferred the montages of the covers of the first two games.  They really expressed the sheer variety of the games - the number of characters and the vibrancy of the setting, the way the games were bursting with incident and life.  I find the plain white ones incredibly bland.

Still, though.  That bat chappie.  Glad I'm not the only one who saw the resemblance to Cackletta, except wearing a mask of some kind.  The bat wings would even fit with her cape.  So it's one "Antasma," eh?  I missed that.  I hope she is a composite of the previous final bosses, a sort of nightmare of them emerging from the darkness in Luigi's mind, simply as I'm always happy to see story continuity - and it's not like Dream Team (Bros.) isn't bringing back other characters from previous games.

I love the coloring style they used here. But it just makes me more sad that they didn't go for a boxart style like the first two. And I don't really see how this is more appealing to the consumer.

I actually really love the consistent, minimalistic box art that every Japanese version has had.  I'm glad they've started using them over here and the west, even if it does make them inconsistent with the first two games.  They're so quirky and cute.

Heh, first Pokemon X and Y get a higher game rating than ever before in Australia, and now, Dream Team gets the E10+ logo instead of the E the prior three games had. Either rating guidelines have gotten stricter, or the games themselves are getting "edgier", for lack of word.

Broque Monsieur is back, so maybe he's a mainstay character to the series now. That's cool, it's nice to have a recurring character with an obvious connection to the Mario series's famous blocks.

Hopefully that means Broggy and the best attack ever makes a comeback.

That art is so cool. Especially this one:

Loving it all.
