I really, really don't like shipping 99% of the time. Maybe if it were a believable pair that has a really good chemistry or is strongly alluded to in the show itself, but most of it feels like the personal porn collection of some fanboy.

I'm talking about ALL fanfiction here by the way, not just ponies.

Yeah, same here. The only shipping fics I'll read in the Pony community are either the few canon couples that exist in the show and maybe Lyra and Bon Bon. And even then, most of them will have that one moment where it seems somewhat... perverse. The last thing I want to know about these characters is about their sex life...

Especially if these characters happen to be animals. =P

But like you, I never really liked shipfics in general... I think I've only read one or two shipfics that I've really enjoyed if I recall.

I love shipping fanfics, as long as they're well done. I don't know why, but I really dig a good love story. FYI, this is coming from a guy who thinks Twilight is one of the best book series ever created. When it comes to my preferred shipping though, I tend to like Pinkie Pie x Rainbow Dash. Personally, I think Pinkie-Dash is the way it should be (same with Rarity x Spike). They should never go with anyone else. EVER. *shameless The Party Hasn't Ended fanboy*

I was never worried about this being the last season, and I think the fear surrounding that got a little overboard IMHO. They'd be crazy to stop it this early on, particularly with a mere 13 episode season.

I'm hoping for a grand total of five or so, maybe more if the writing stays fresh. I consider that the ideal number of seasons for just about every TV show.

now this news about there being more than 3 seasons is a heavy lift off my chest especially since I was starting to doubt there'd be any more after this, but hey, if Dexter's Lab, KND and PPG got 6 seasons then I don't why this show wouldn't. But that seasonal rot as they call it is rather worrying... I worry that Twilight will become an unlikeable know it all, Rainbow Dash a plain bitch(she came close in early season 2 IMO) and Pinkie will become just a plain idiot(I also fear that for Mabel Pines). But at the same time I have faith in the writers of the show, and in the newbie they'll bring in. I'm not too worried at all. I'll give it 6 seasons.

So been reading "To Trot a Mile" and I'm really loving it so far. Kinda stopped at the start of chapter 5 so I still had something to read tomorrow, but it's seriously great. Honestly, it feels just like an extended episode if anything.

Kinda unrelated to ponies a bit, does anyone feel depressed when they read stories regardless of what it's about? I was telling Sean that no matter the fanfic I read, for some reason I feel extremely down either while reading it or as soon as I stop. I seriously don't know what's going on, and especially in this story, it's not even sad or anything.

That's how I am when I watch Sonic X. Just replace depressed with pissed off, and that's my opinion on Sonic X. :P
