So to make up for the lack of fancy graphics, the Wii version gets more subtle pieces of fanservice eh? Very cool :P

Good to see Underground getting a reference. If only the theme song was available in the SEGA Shop...

Well Wii sales will skyrocket now because everyone will want this before they release a patched version to remove it.

Very weird that it's in the Wii version but not the others, maybe it was something they considered for all versions and tested on the Wii but forgot to remove it? I eagerly await S0L's response :lol:

I don't see how this could've happened. Maybe they planned to edit the Sonia image to make it more official looking however they then changed it to Amy to save time and forgot to change it on the Wii version.

Pretty cool how they snuck Sonia in there, although thanks to the low resolution nature of Wii textures it's hard to gauge whether it was a straight-up copy + paste job or just a tad inspired. To me it looks like they took obvious inspiration in terms of the eyeline and the like, but the quills look to be redrawn or at least re-worked from Sonic's head.

It's such a minuscule part in the game I wouldn't expect anything to come of it, though - it's just kind of in the background. It's not like the last similar case where fanart was actually used as the focal point of a boxart in hope of attracting sales, that was pretty blatant.

I spotted your topic and people immediately thought I'd hacked the textures in my game :lol: Had to post and defend myself.

I doubted it was any hack at all when I saw that both Wii and PC had them, I doubt someone would get someone else to join in with a Texture hack that could be so easily debunked.

Pssh, if it's a real Cameo and not something that was put in without permision I want to see it with DLC. =P
