But I don't want it patched out, and whilst I don't know the person who made the image, I'm willing to bet that if it was a choice between patch it out and get a "We're so sorry this happened" or a leave it in and get a "We're really sorry that this happened" even if there was no credit or anything else given, if it was me I'd probably say "Lol leave it in then."

I want it left in because out of all of this, it's bloody hilarious.

I want it left in because I think it's cool for Underground to get a bit of love, however much people seem to hate that show.

It's just unintentional fanservice, that's all.

Well Tristan has put up his little 'Exclusive' even though RianaLD spoke out about it publically twice last night

http://www.tssznews.com/2010/03/11/exclusive-rianald-speaks-on-asr-art-discovery/

EDIT:

Let's step back a minute, has Tristan in this exclusive report from RianaLD actually copied her journal entries word for word? Reading the whole thing I m getting serious deja-vu from both her journal entries.

It could be that to save time she just copy and pasted things from her journal entries to give him but I wouldn't put it past Tristan to fake a report using RianaLD's journal entries.

If I were the artist, I'd just tell Sumo that's it's ok to leave it in. :P

It'd be awesome to occasionly go slow on the Casino track and be able to view my artwork in an offical Sonic game. And it wasn't intentional, so it's not like Sumo meant to steal her artwork or anything like that.

But it's her art and she's free to choose what she wants to happen (that is, assuming she has any say in the matter).

I still find it funny that a TV character got in an official Sonic game.

It's not the first time thought:

Unless you don't consider MBM and Spinball to be oficial... ;) EDIT: I actually never played Spinball but Retro says it has SatAM characthers so...

I would really love if this fan art thing gets implemented in a near future, maybe for another game or a sequel or an expansion or whatever you thin about (cofDLCcof)...

Like making a contest and the winners gets featured in a stage or something (like with the black knight thingy but, hopefully, with less fraud D: ).

Hello, Spinball! And who's you friend? Oh! It's nice to meet you, Chronicles! Do join Mean Bean Machine at the table.

Okay, Chronicles is stretch, sorta. I find it funnier that this went unnoticed for as long as it did.

So DarkspinesSonic (a guy on Youtube known for finding a lot of Sonic glitches) recently tried to recreate MickX's glitch while using the PS3 version. He wasn't sucessful, but he found a new (similar) glitch in the process:

So now I guess we can all be thankful that All Stars moves aren't in online play. :P

So then, the blog from the girl whose artwork it was has posted a 'final' update on the situation. It's quite interesting.

The basic story is that during the development of the game one of the level artists was tasked with making placeholder artwork and used google to find official sonic pictures... and he thought that the picture of Sonia was official artwork.

The work was sent to Sonic Team for approval and when they noticed that the picture of Sonia didn't belong to them they were told to fix this on all platforms... However, on the Wii version and the low detail tracks of the PC version this was missed.

As an additional apology for whats happened, the artist is getting "something nice" out of their goodie bag. (I told you! A pork pie!)

Also in the blog entry (I don't know if this is official), the PC version is to be removed... the Wii version however is stuck there!

Also the bit about the low detailed tracks is interesting, it might be on all versions of the PC version, try tinkering with the settings see if it changes.

But if you ask me... Keep it in! Don't patch it out! Give us 1970's trousers mode! And Scratch and Grounder as DLC!

Well I guess I should end this post as Tea Es Es Zee would end it...

DO you have an opinion!

Well the PC version was gimped anyway, and at the end of the day, than can be modded. =P

In fact, this whole deal makes me want to learn the PC version formats and replace Shadow with Sonia.

You absolutely cannot say that wouldn't be an improvement :V

*in before massive neg-rep by Shadow lovers*

Wahahaha I gave you positive rep. I'm so bad.

So the Wii is just gonna have the card stuck on it forever?

I wonder how that dude who put it in as a placeholder thought it was official artwork.

Oh, I wonder, did anyone ripped all of those "characters as playing cards" textures? They'd make great avatars ^^

I just saw the Sonic figure at my local HMV (Charlton, London), but they wouldn't sell it to me separately since there was no way on their system for them to do so. D:

I probably should have objected that I was buying a Sonic game at the time anyway (namely paying full-price for Classic Collection, what a ripoff) and tried to use that angle to get one, but eh. >.>

I see S0L, much respect to you and the guys at Sumo and SEGA for the kind way you handled the Sonia art issue. :)

Almost forgot to mention this with all the Sonia hype going on...

Was playing splitscreen yesterday with my cousin, PlayStation3 version, and encountered my first ever glitch! It was on Pirates Ocean - Monkey Target. During the race (in which I was Sonic) the ChuChus managed to overtake me by floating over my head and forcing me down into the ground. Rather than squish, however, I fell through the map and down into the sea, car and all. Sonic even yelled "Whoaaaa!!" as he's supposed to when spinning off the course. This was during the stone-and-grass right angled section of the track, on a ramp climbing upwards.

I still won the race (bless my cousin, he was awful, and mostly Knuckles/Shadow too, so even the cheat characters didn't help him), mind.

Just thought I'd share! :D

So this will never die!!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTutZil5bDY

I'm wishing that it would die. Sonic Underground would have been better if it were like this esp. with the songs:

Anyways, don't know if this was brought up before.

X-Play gave it a 3/5

X-Play gave it a 3/5

I've been checking back with them on and off to see if they've reviewed it or not, I thought GameTrailers were really late to the party but it looks like we have a new competitor in X-Play for the lateness crown

The Pros

Great Visuals

Missions are fun

Unlockable characters are creative

The Cons

The racing is lackluster

Sharp turns can be hard to see

Track settings get repetitive

Creativity is mostly visual, not gameplay-focused

Lol wut??

Creativity is gameplay-focused since you have to play through the game to earn SEGA Miles to unlock the creative characters.

Just watched their video review which takes the piss with how short it is. At 1:45 about 25 seconds is their logo crap, 1:20 is game footage in which there is about 35 seconds of review commentary of which 20 seconds is Mario Kart crap and 5 seconds is him stating that the game gets 3 stars out of 5. So 10 seconds of proper review commentary, very professional X-Play.

I never liked X-Play. Adam Sessler is an ugly mo-fo and it was their show that broke it to me that the Dreamcast was to be discontinued. Worthless.

I love how they use Wii screenshots on the Xbox 360 page of the review and also at the top of the page with all the platform info, genre etc.. -

I liked it when X-Play was funny a few years back.

I laughed my ass off at most of their skits.

Now it's all serious, and technological, and high-budget. >_>

As much as I don't care for X-Play anymore, I like the Sess. Dude knows his stuff and isn't afraid to tell people straight (i think that's the one. Damn school filters >> ). But he's been hit or miss lately.

There's some sad people online, I've come across that JASON guy again who I mentioned I'd fell into a lobby with a couple of weeks back on the Wii version. Anyway, he was hosting again and like last time he's just playing as Sonic, CPU's on, waits for a few people to join and keeps selecting Whale Lagoon then every race just trails behind slowly in 8th place never finishing the race.

Do people have so much free time on their hands that they like to regularly host games online playing the same track then watch themselves lose every time?

I wish you could choose a lobby you'd like to join in the Wii version like you can in the Xbox 360/PS3 version but this isn't out of the norm in online Wii games so I'm guessing NWFC has limitations to what you can implement.
