All-Stars Racing Transformed: The Track Roster Thread

An adventure level? I'm betting on Speed highway. Or heck maybe even Radical Highway! That would be awesome.

Remember there are multiple music tracks per track, so RJ could very well have the original stage music for flight mode and then when you turn into a car Super Sonic Racing kicks in.

Guys, it's obviously Twinkle Circuit. Come on, people, it even had SSR as one of the tracks for the DLC thing the Dreamcast had!

Twinkle Circuit is basically a less interesting Starlight Carnival. Super Sonic Racing is in because Richard Jacques is heading the music for this game, and previously did Sonic R too. I wouldn't be surprised to hear Can You Feel The Sunshine in Seaside Hill.

EDIT: Let's not forget that SSR was on all the Casino Park stages last time, and CYFTS on Seaside Hill.

I wasn't being serious, no need to get snippy.

Anyway, as much as I'd love to see one of Sonic Adventure's stages that WASN'T Speed Highway redone in HD, it'll probably be Speed Highway, based on the music and the fact that it's already got HD assets. This is, of course, assuming that the Nintendo Power writer was mistaken pertaining to the stage, but Nintendo Power knows their shit pretty well; I imagine that they wouldn't have gotten a SA stage mixed up with the likes of Starlight Carnival or Seaside Hill.

It's probably Final Egg or something since we don't have a shitload of final stages except for Death Egg unlike the first one.

I didn't get snippy...

I'm still not convinced we'll definitely be seeing a stage from Adventure. It could easily be an SA2 stage or Seaside Hill. Even Starlight Carnival. SSR would be a good fit for Starlight Carnival, you know. Similar aesthetics between it and Radiant Emerald.

Now that you mention it, it would be hilarious to see a Sonic R stage get an HD makeover.

But which one? The Resort level would be too much like Seaside Hill, Radical City would just be a Speed Highway/Radical Highway rip, Regal Ruins could work, I guess, and Reactive Factory's nothing special. Radiant Emerald is neat, but BORING.

Isn't the Sonic Colors track actually a mash-up between Starlight Carnival and Asteroid Coaster?

I think if there's a Sonic Adventure track it'll be based around the hub worlds, possibly an Egg Carrier track or Station Square. So there would be bits of Sky Deck/Hot Shelter or Speed Highway/Emerald Coast/Twinkle Park.

If there's a sequel to this game you know what I'd like to see? An Angel Island track.

Radient Emerald would look cool, and would be easy to build given the simplicity of it and the fact that they could reuse assets from other tracks, but I recall Sumo saying that they don't like to make tracks that look like they were simple to make (like some Mario Kart tracks). Forgot who it was but it might have been S0L referring to the first game and the possibility of reusing assets to make simple tracks to increase the count. Like how a Space Channel 5 astroid track would be easy given it could just be Death Egg assets.

Maybe we can get Sumo to clarify this? It wouldn't be leaking out information because it was already released. It would just be "Yes, this is NOT a typo" etc.

Are you guys proposing Radiant Emerald as a Rainbow Road analogue?

Because I think the final track is not supposed to be based on any IP in particular. Lycett said that there is one such track in the game so what else could it be apart from the final track?

So yeah looking at the scans once more, I'm pretty certain that it's just a simple typo.

For starters, just above where they mention the Sonic Adventure track, they state that we won't be getting 3 Sonic tracks this time due to each track being based on different franchises (which is false if we count the Death Egg, though if they were only counting new tracks for ASRT, it could mean that we're only getting the two we already know about.) Furthermore, they mention that they got to play five tracks, each based on Jet Set Radio, Golden Axe, Super Monkey Ball, Panzer Dragoon, and Sonic Adventure. If you look at the article, you'll notice that each of these tracks appear in at least one image, aside from the alleged Sonic Adventure track which we have a large amount of Seaside Hill images instead, and there's not a single image of any level outside of these 5.

But on the other hand they may just not be allowed to show off the other level at the moment, and the first comment about there being "no 3 Sonic tracks" was the actual typo. I guess we'll just have to wait on one of our Sumo pals to further clarify the matter.

Cleared up a bit:

There is a remix of Super Sonic Racing in the game, we use it on the Seaside Hill track. So yes, that's true. Is there another Sonic track? Wait and see :P

SOL posted some time ago that Seaside Hill also had a flying section, but it appears that it has only boat and land. Can SOL clarify this? Thanks :)

Surely, no remix can ever be as awesome as this one:

Whilst not exactly a track. In the SegaBits podcast we got confirmation of several arenas and that there would be alternative courses on some areas, like Panzer Dragoon would have an alternative route to take in which you'd fly over other parts of the course.

Oh God Jackle's Room as the NiGHTS Arena please

I would absolutely adore to see any of the arenas from Super Monkey Ball 2's Monkey Fight to reappear as arenas in this game, especially Mid-Sky Battle, a wacky arena in the clouds filled with floating glass vases of beautiful flowers, with some of the spiraling Monkey Island vines/beanstocks reaching high into the clouds, and an odd sun and moon in an endless war in the background as the time changes from day to night. It could even have a few platforms based on the usual checkerboard maps there for driving sections, while the majority takes place in the air. Oh and there could even be some nice remixes of the

or
added in with the stage, for all of my wants <3 Edited by The Marvelous Cero

From what members have gathered on different forums, I would say that Billy Hatcher and House of the Dead are very likely to take up 2 of the remaining 6 slots of the roster.

The speculated Shinobi track could also be indeed a track from that franchise, which would leave us with 3 left.

If the scrapped Space Channel 5 assets from the first game is redone for Transformed, that means we have just 2 tracks left.

Of course, this is just speculation on my end, but it does seem to be shaping up so that all of the franchises from the first game are returning here.

I still have hope for a Fantasy Zone and Valkyria track but after hearing the podcast, I have doubts on the latter now.
