No worries! I'm a mod over at SEGAbits, so usually I edit posts over there. When I'm here I feel so powerless. ;)

I really want ice cap to be a track. It'll really make up for it's absence in Generations.

First arena revealed?

From IGN's Wii U preview:

I only saw one during my time with the Wii U version, called ‘Super Monkey Ball Arena’, and whomever had the GamePad took control of AiAi, who was as usual encased in his perspex sphere. Meanwhile, opponents using Classic Controllers played as Sonic and Tails in racing cars. The aim of the mini-game was simple: before the time ran out, squash the tiny versions of Sonic and Tails, who were driving around attempting to collect as many bananas as possible.

Maybe the game itself is a Wii U exclusive, but the arena is probably in all versions.

I was wondering... we are seriously lacking of a snow level...do you think we're going to see one? I Hope to see the Billy Hatcher one returning (the longer one, don't remember the name).

- a Shinobi track was kind of leaked, and I bet it is going to be a car/boat stage, with beautiful oriental settings

- Then we had a hint about something House of the Dead related, so possibly a track. Considering SUMO's love for the franchise, I bet it is an entirely new one; I bet it will be Boat/Land, and there will be sections in the Mansion, in the graveyard, and the underground part surfing in the green poison like in the previous game (with boats this time)

- I Think there are very few cartoonish stages, so I might add a Space Channel 5 one, in which you go through different colorful scenarios inside futuristic spaceships with dancing people. Water sections might be a nice touch here too, so a Car/Boat/Plane kind of stage

- A beautiful landscape would be something Phantasy Star Online inspired, I've seen a beautiful snow level, Frost Thundra I think, and it would be a great level with the addition of some mechanical parts, some spaceships around, and, of course, rag rappies :P. Car/Boat/Plane here

- I'd personally like a desert level, the most original thing that comes in my mind is Mazuri from Sonic Unleashed. It should be a car/boat stage, where you "surf" in quicksands (that would be freaking awesome)

- SOL hinted about a track that combines more IP's, so I bet on a final SEGA All-Stars themed track, in a kind of casino/carnival settings, with lots of reference to SEGA games like Fantasy Zone, Space Harrier, Puyo Puyo, Crazy Taxi, Chu Chu Rocket, Bayonetta, MadWorld, Hell Yeah...

god, shut up about Hell Yeah, it's seriously annoying and illogical as it'll NEVER HAPPEN, its too new, has no current appeal since it's not even RELEASED YET, Bayonetta however seems like a good choice considering her popularity and success, but like many people have said, she maybe too Risqué for a kid friendly game.

everything else you said was actually pretty good, although space channel 5 reminds me of the one from riders.

Well, maybe a MadWorld black/white stage with yellow writings (but withouth blood) could be interesting.

MadWorld without the violence and blood is not MadWorld. I'd love to see a black and white track, but to take out the blood makes it far less tempting a track.

I agree on Hell Yeah. Spiral Knights has far more a chance than Arkedo's game. And even then, I don't think Spiral Knights has a chance. Though... Aaron Webber is a huge Spiral Knights fan...

Though, what Aaron Webber have to do with this game? XD

People were talking about Bayonetta's no possibility to join the game due her partial-nudity, but they seems to forgot that Ash from Hell Yeah is full of blood and gore, even being cartoonish. And it have "hell" on its name!

But this is the track thread. If a Ristar and Daytona track pop-up, I'll have an overdose. I can see the racers flying planet to planet with awesome music changes. And for Daytona, the typical crazy nascar tracks, pretty generic, but pretty awesome. And classic Sonic carved on that mountain!

Aaron's the Sonic Brand Manager and he was at the initial press showing that was a week before the game was revealed. We may not see Aaron in videos anymore, but he's still working behind the scenes. I'm sure he has some say when it comes to any future Sonic titles, given his position. Maybe he's not making major decisions on the roster, but I wouldn't doubt he gives input.

As for Hell Yeah, it's not M rated like MadWorld but it is rated T which is a step up from Transformed's rating (assuming they want an E, which I think they do). So even if the rabbit is in, they'd have to tone down the violence like they did with HotD.

Yeah Aaron Webber is a huge Spiral Knights fan. I don't play it as much as I used to, but on Steam, I still see him on it every single day. I would personally like some SPiral knights love in ASR, but honestly i'd rather have that slot filled by the more interesting stuff, especially since there are so little remaining. Ryo Hazuki is a must :(

A Comix Zone track would be absolutely spectacular. It would be a difficult one to make, because to really get the feel of the original game you would have give everything a nice hand-drawn look. Imagine entering new sections of the track by passing through panel frames. Driving across the ruins of Newer York City, boating through the sewers, and flying around the icy mountain temples. On the 3rd lap, everything could start to burn like when Mortus would light the comic book on fire.

SEGA has lots of awesome IPs. It's really hard to pick one that wouldn't make an amazing track. Comix Zone will be sweet, track or char (Sketch Turner).

"The Sonic Adventure course had a remix of Super Sonic Racing that had us grinning ear to ear."

Sonic Adventure Track Confirmed?

If they actually switched any of Adventure's music tracks out with Super Sonic Racing, I'll be pissed.

Though, I assume they're getting confused aout Seaside Hill (For which I also don't want to hear SSR)

If it is an Adventure track,w I wonder which? I think we can write off Emerald Coast. Twinkle Park, maybe, though it may cross too much with Starlight Carnival. I think it'd be the most likely, though. Windy Hill? It could work as mainly a flying level, but in those regards it would cross with SC.. And I don't think they'd put SSR in SH, FE, LW, SD or RM as it would be really unfitting..

The only Adventure level that I could imagine driving about in to Super Sonic Racing is Speed Highway since, for me at least, it has a 'night level' type feel to it. Like you said though, they may just be confusing Seaside Hill with Emerald Coast.
