At least the console version is paying tribute to the advance games by remixing their music. Its funny how the console version is showing the advance games more love than the 3DS version.

Though either we'll be getting 2 rush, an advance and a rush, or even a rivals and a rush stage, or even the final stage could turn out that rumored Planet Egg thing (though tis a bit unlikely)

That was "Planet Egg Park" - the Japanese name for Eggman's Interstellar Amusement Park.

Welp, the Generations NA commercial has been edited to include mention of the 3DS version at the end of it and it reinforces the November 22nd date. I think it's safe to say that the delay isn't happening and Nintendo Power/Amazon made a mistake.

Haven't been following this thread, but I'm assuming the unknown stage for the 3DS version will be from Unleashed given that '06 was never on a Nintendo console. It COULD be a Heroes stage, but I doubt it. Would be uneven to have three classic, three "Dreamcast" and one modern.

If it is Cool Edge I will be very very happy. Would give the 3DS version a good variety: tropical island, casino, jungle, tropical island (again ), urban city, winter/ice, carnival/outer space

Just got my copy of the Nintendo Power with the Generations preview in it. Apparently, the game begins Classic Green Hill before any cutscenes, very similar to the console version and Modern Sonic can't spin-dash. They seem to be moving closer and closer to making the handheld Modern Sonic gameplay as close to a 2D version of Unleashed as possible.

Good chance that last slot is for the Special Stages. It's the most significant thing besides gameplay that sets this game apart from the console iterations.

Looking back into what Woun provided us in the past with the Silver magazine scan, I've pointed out in the past that the coloured dots bring into presentation the primary colour of each stage. However, the one all the way to the right is uncoloured, as in might not have been unlocked yet perhaps?

I dunno. But if what I say holds truth in the end, there IS indeed 8 3DS stages.

If anything, the new Silver screenshot narrows down the possibilities of the last two stages.

Take a good look at the coloured dots. Each one of them is practically the dominant/representative colour of the stages found in the game.

Green Hill

Casino Night

Mushroom Hill

Metal Sonic

Emerald Coast

Radical Highway

Shadow the Hedgehog

???

???

Silver the Hedgehog

Obviously I got the last two colours wrong, but there's only so much I could've done.

In any case, it could be any of the handheld stages + possibly Colours remaining [remembering what Davy~Rush told me on the SEGA Forums - "the Modern era ends in 2007? " in response to only SR and SRA possibly being the last two games to be represented].

The last unrevealed stage, if that is the case, could come from either Sonic Rush Adventure, Sonic '06, Sonic Rush or maybe even Sonic Heroes.

Again, keeping the coloured dot in mind, there's still a bit of a range in possible stages.

What do you mean? Going from Left to right the levels are Green Hill, Casino Night, Mushroom Hill, Metal Sonic, Emerald Coast, Radical Highway, Shadow, Windmill Isle, Tropical Resort, Silver, ???(Time Eater, I assume) There's nothing between Shadow and Windmill Isle.

Wow, "History of the First Stage" seems to be a much more fitting title for this version than "Blue Adventure".
