Egg Walker's a modified Egg Mobile and the word mobile doesn't indicate flight. I'm not sure why you wouldn't count it.

 

Eh, okay, the real reason is mainly because I knew that everyone would have probably went straight for that one, and I wanted to shake things up a bit and hope that the answers were a little more varied as a result. (Of course, a lot of folk went with the Post-Unleashed one in the end, but what can you do.)

I now know what an Eggmobile is.

 

I like the original Eggmobile due to its simplistic design, but the purple one from Colours that someone.posted looks cool too.

 

I've always thought that if Eggman were in Smash Bros., Eggmobile with the wrecking ball would be a great Final Smash.

Day 7: Favorite Egg Mobile Design:

 

This one, from 4: Ep. II.

Why? Because it's INDESTRUCTIBLE! Eggman spits on your puny Rolling Combos and Super Sonic! 

...But he just tosses it aside for that giant heart motif in the next act. WHY? If he just kept this one, he'd be done with his multi-colored rodent infestation by now! But NO, he had to put all his budget into those stupid Bubbles chains.

 

...Oh, and it looks cool, I guess.

….how does he get inside the Egg Mobile in the main canon? Does he just climb into it every time? Does it have a door that opens or something?

I like that one Sonic animation's explanation. He does indeed climb in and out of it... but he needs a LOT of butter to do so.

I think to resolve this issue, in fact, the last thing he needs is butter.

Day #7: Favorite Eggmobile

 

Yet another day where I'd have to agree with the majority and say the Unleashed Eggmobile. The Chaos Emerald-colored lights (although the white one seems to be replaced with an orange one) are a nice touch, and so is the Dreamcast.

Day 7: Favorite Egg Mobile Design

 

Alright, this should be an easy one for me:

 

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles

 

 

I’m gonna go with this one as my favorite one, because of how I love the color scheme of Eggman’s mobile and how the vehicle gives off a quite dark and menacing vibe. Although I should give the Unleashed one some mention too, because of it manages to have a modern take of the vehicle but also retain its classic elements and also...

This was never something I thought about. I want to say the Sonic 2 helicopter-esque Egg Mobile, but I suppose I'll go with...

 

 

Anything involving AOSTH Eggman is an epic win/fail depending on how you look at it, but I love how cramped he looks inside of that thing.

Day 7: Best Egg Mobile

 

That's easy, I really like the current one. It just looks really good, and I'm oddly fond of the This Button Does Whatever Eggman Wants It To In That Game button. Plus there's a Dreamcast. Eggcast? Dreamegg? Plus, like Diogenes said, it's roomy and gives a feeling that it's his throne of sorts--I could see him sitting in it a lot once he's taken over the world, just parked in one spot in Eggmanland as he's counting all his money. Or counting devoted followers. Or something.

 

 

I wish we got to see it with attachments and inside boss mechs more often, it really did look cool with the mind control laser.

 

 

I like all the Egg Mobiles though, every design appeals to me in some way!

Day 7: Fav Egg Mech, Like Wow

I'm going to have to put my money on the classic Sonic mech, if only for its versatility. It can fit into all sorts of robots, take a decent beating, *and* nearly outrace the fastest hedgehog alive and look darn hot. If Classic Eggman didn't get a major for engineering then not only will I eat my shorts, but also the shorts of every person EVER.

DAY 7 Favorite Egg Mobile design

Interesting question! I do not think I have ever really thought about my favorite egg mobiles. I'm going to have to do some research to figure this out.

I just love the darker round more compact look, its glass dome, and the yellow seat. I have to say though it doesn't look very comfortable, even when it's just little Tails riding in it.

You gotta love the 1st Egg Mobile, it's classic. I love the blue seat in this one.

This one has a great design, it does a great job bringing the classic look in a more modern great for 3D look. It also looks a lot more comfortable than most of his Egg Mobiles.

It's really interesting how different yet similar all the Egg Mobiles are.

Day 7: Favorite Egg Mobile design

Oh, this one I can answer with ease! Not many people know about this one, since it's from one of the far more obscure Sonic titles, but Eggman piloted a really badass one in this game, Sonic Conquest.



The Egg Clown Mobile!

This one was far more unique in design compared to most of the other personal transport systems Eggman's used in most of the game appearances, but despite it's goofy design, it packed some serious firepower that you fight it in a lenghty boss fight situated atop a floating castle in the sky when Eggman ambushes Sonic and taunts him while holding Amy captive as hostage, and the first phase it tries to charge at you directly, with Eggman dropping off little Robo-Botniks that try to explode near you, but you can pick them up and toss them right back at the doc's aircraft, making him steamingly mad and moving on to the next phase, which involves hovering right above you and flipping upside down dropping giant eggs to crush Sonic, but he needs to bounce them back with the bounce bracelet attack to damage it further.

After a set amount of damage, Eggman loses it and whips out twin cannons from the sides, and destroys a good chunk of the area Sonic is standing on, then fires it's rockets wildly at Sonic before screaming 'It's stomping time!!' And drops the Egg Clown Car several times on the ground at high speed, Sonic needing to jump straight on Eggman himself to deliver the final blow causing it to flip and spin around all of control, Amy falling out and Sonic catching her right before it malfunctions and Eggman plummets down to his doom.

Truly one of the most memorable boss fights ever.




Okay in all seriousness though I'm going with the Sonic Adventure 1 one because of those awesome damn rocket boosters in the back and the Wriiii, wriiiii wriiii wriii Chaos Emerald snatching arm!

I'll go with the modern egg mobile. I don't have much to say for this one but I'll try.

Its known eggman is always in some type of egg mobile with various designs and attachments. And seeing something old get modernized but still keeping the classic feeling, I think lol.

I have to say that I'm really fond of the design from Sonic 1 and Sonic Adventure.  (And Sonic 4 since it's just a blatant rip of the Sonic 1 version)

 

 

 

 

 

Something about these designs screams more practical and less cartoony, which I think gives it a nice, subtle contrast.  I've always liked the idea of Sonic having some less cartoony elements (like the Tornado looking like an actual biplane as opposed to whatever the heck the plane in Sonic Boom is supposed to be.

 

I always find this just a little hard to explain, when everything is cartoony and brightly-colored, there's a certain thing that you lose.  A hint of atmosphere that I feel is sort of taken away.  Don't get me wrong, I love the feel of Unleashed, Colors, and onward as well.  But I don't know what I'm saying anymore.  Anyway, I like these designs.

Day 7: Eggmobiles

 

Ooh. This is a tough one.

 

All the Eggmobiles are, by design, really versatile in their function, so this is gonna have to go completely on looks. 

 

I'll go with the Egg Mobile from S3&K:

 

Now this is more of a tonal thing, as I like it's more steel-edge, armored look. It matches a lot of the intensity of the game it's in as well.

 

Then there's the one from Sonic 06:

 

Another rare thing I liked about Sonic 06 (really, most of the things I like in that game are either some of the robots or the music). This one is much more spacious, like a jet and balcony merged into one. Granted, it looks a little empty in the image, but think of the cool tech you could fit into this thing.

 

Then I'm also gonna have to echo those following Unleashed's Eggmobile. It looks like the usual Eggmobile, but it has a couch built into it. Looks really comfortable.

Favourite Eggmobile design?

It would probably be a tie between the Sonic 1 Eggmobile, with its bulky, round design and the Sonic 3 Eggmobile with its pleasing to the eyes shades of grey. Also, I always thought that the blue chair in the first Eggmobile looked comfy. I dunno, like an armchair or something.

 

It looks like you could just lean back on it and relax, while swinging your wrecking ball, killing blue hedgehogs, and appreciate the blue sky...
