That impression makes me very excited. Shit, I really do need an Xbone now.....my wallet is crying.

Damn you, Microsoft! I may dislike your business practices and your console but your exclusive games are drawing me in!

Loving all the personality and flash in this game. The combat looks so fluid and fun as well.

I still think it looks a bit too stiff, but oh well. The visual style is gorgeous (well, apart from the character models which I'm not too fond of personally) and it looks like a lot of care went into it, so I'd be willing to give it a shot.

Sunset Overdrive honestly looks like the only good best third-person shooter game ever to me holy crap.

I wish this was coming to PS4 because I WANT it. Hopefully I'll get to play it eventually.

Exclusives are what make the world go round, though.

Good to see the Xbone rocking some awesome exclusives. Not my kind of stuff, but cool nonetheless!

That's what makes it easy for you to say. :'v

Meanwhile 3rd person action adventure shooter platformer with parkour, crazy weapons and a wicked art style. I'm hurting inside. Please release for Steam, cuz you can't make me side with the enemy, man. Dats some dirty moves, Insomniac.

Looks more flashy than anything. Was the guy even hitting anything when he was firing the gun on the zipline? It didn't look like anything was dying.

It looks fun, but I'm not shelling out $660 for it.

I saw this post from James Stevenson of Insomniac on NeoGAF:

ALSO

PLEASE DON'T JUDGE BASED ON THE CRAPPY GAME INFORMER RIP GOING AROUND

they obviously lost frames and the only thing is running slower than it should (or how it plays).

not representative. lots of real footage coming next week

Don't know if that helps you with your complaints, though.

HAND DRAWN BOX ART! The last game I played which had a hand drawn box art was flippin' Tales of Xillia. It's pretty rare to find this nowadays.

 That looks really cool.

By the way, just looking at my 3DS games, Pokémon, A Link Between Worlds, Mario & Luigi, Fire Emblem, Professor Layton, Virtue's Last Reward and Kid Icarus all have hand drawn box art.

Sunset Overdrive is the only game that looks amazing and makes me want to get an Xbone, but no. I'm not shelling out truckloads of money just for that one game though! Lovely boxart too, wow.

I feel so alienated from the Sunset Overdrive hype, lol. Really not a fan of that "Mohawk Punk" aesthetic, or the dialogue it tends to entail.

I'm pretty interested in Quantum Break if only because the team behind it has proven to be really talented, and Killer Instinct looks fun, but that's about it for now.

I still would rather have the next game in Alan Wake than Quantum Dream ._.

Yeah, I would've loved an Alan Wake sequel. That was a brilliant game...I guess they wanted to do something different. Quantum Break looks pretty good though.

Sony better show some great exclusives at E3 because right now Microsoft is winning. The console desperately needs some JRPGs too.

Wow...*applauds* That is the first Xbox game ever that I would want to play. Like ever. Thanks to Insomniac.

Is it enough to get me the XONE? Obviously no, but...if I know someone in future that has a XONE, I'll borrow his/her console to play that game.

Insomniac, I hope you got a Ratchet & Clank game coming up that is as good as this! D=

I've been won over already. c8

In all seriousness though, if the rumor about Platinum making an Xbox exclusive is true, that'd create quite the interesting dynamic. Competing exclusive games from the two most well loved hardcore Japanese developers. Should be fun.

They're also not locking Youtube, Netflix, and stuff behind Gold anymore.

Coming in June, anyone with an Xbox will be able to access popular entertainment experiences – whether or not you have an Xbox Live Gold membership.

Cool stuff.

Kinect-less Xbox One coming June 9th, $399

Since the beginning, we have focused on delivering great games and entertainment experiences for you. Your feedback matters to us and it shapes the products and services we build. Your feedback showed up in the Xbox One console we launched back in November and in the monthly updates we’ve delivered since.

Today, we’re excited to share more ways your feedback is impacting the products we build.

First, beginning on June 9th, in all markets where Xbox One is sold, we will offer Xbox One starting at $399*. This is a new console option that does not include Kinect. For $399, our new Xbox One offering will continue to deliver access to the best blockbuster games like “Titanfall,” “Call of Duty: Ghosts,” “Forza Motorsport 5,” “Dead Rising 3,” and the upcoming “Watch Dogs,” “Destiny” and "Sunset Overdrive." You will also be able to access popular entertainment apps, such as Twitch, YouTube, and Netflix, as well as watch live TV and use OneGuide.  Finally, you will continue to be able to use many of the unique features of Xbox One including the ability to get game invites while you watch TV, switch between games and entertainment apps, enjoy Twitch broadcasts, and upload your favorite gaming moments.

[...]

We’ve heard that you want more choices from Xbox One. You want a wide variety of options in your games and entertainment experiences and you also want options in your hardware selection.

To be clear, as we introduce this new Xbox One console option, Kinect remains an important part of our vision.  Many of you are using Kinect for Xbox One every day. In fact, more than 80 percent of you are actively using Kinect, with an average of 120 voice commands per month on each console. Some of the most popular voice commands include “Xbox On,” “Xbox Broadcast” and “Xbox Record That.” We will continue to offer a premium Xbox One with Kinect bundle to deliver voice and gesture controls, biometric sign-in, instant personalization, instant scanning of QR codes, and enhanced features only available with Kinect in games such as “Kinect Sports Rivals,” “Just Dance 2014,” “Project Spark” and more.

If you buy Xbox One for $399 and later decide you want to have all the experiences Kinect enables, we will also offer a standalone sensor for Xbox One later this fall. We’ll share more details about the standalone Kinect for Xbox One in the coming months.

$399? They had a golden opportunity to make the Kinect-less Xbox One more competitively priced than the market leader and they didn't take it?

The PS4 is already outperforming the XBO technically on most levels, so much more would have been accomplished had they decided to drop it by an extra ~$30.

Closer than ever to being simply a worse PS4. Didn't expect this so soon but understandable given the beating they've been taking.

Anyways, just chiming in to extend my condolences to all early adopters for having to put up with Kinect, now rendered superfluous. If you're not a fan of the thing sell it before these news spread because the trade in value is going to take an extreme nosedive.

They're probably losing a lot already. An extra $30 cut could ensure the Xbox division does not see any profits for the rest of the generation, depending on how things go.
