It's a funny title tbh, and I find some of these details too good to be true. Especially Gemerl's appearance, no way is that gonna happen!

 

Now we're in the merry month of May we should get something official soon. I can feel it!

 

Is... is that Garfunkel I smell?

Most likely, yes.

 

I mean, it could be that We... Wintos really is a regular at /v/ that only assumes that identity when it's time to leak, and it was a coincidence that the thread 404'd as soon as he was caught as being a regular.

 

On the other hand, I like my lungs, so I won't hold by breath.

Three things gave me away.

 

The working title. Which makes no sense and has no plausibility.

 

The different spelling of "Wentos" username.

 

And the Xbox name. Just about EVERY source is calling the new Xbox "Xbox Infinity".

 

It's more phonier and ridiculous than "Sonic Propel"

Well in someway I'm happy they are taking their time, but the sonic fan in me wants news fast.

I read the rumor out of sheer boredom even though it was obviously fake. It was just a modified version of the previous rumor. If any other characters are playable in the next game it will probably only be Tails and/or Knuckles. I wouldn't even be surprised if it's solo Sonic again.

I doubt it'll be needed, the source is 4chan for the rumour- people'll generally dismiss it.

 

Anyone who didn't have the chance to read the thread and is curious, I happened to save a copy on my dropbox due to liking some of his ideas and wanting to keep them as reference. Bear in mind, it's obviously not safe for work, being a 4chan thread on /v/ about Sonic.

As people have said, the thread went after the OP was called out. His trip code also apparently didn't match. Excursion is another word for Adventure, so that title is suspect of SA3 style trolling.

When you didn't have much of a confirmation it was true in the first place, that oughta be enough.

 

But hey. I offered a link up there. Save it. Wintos said the game was out in November. That means SEGA should be announcing it soon. Then you can see if it was true or not.
