This is the same expo where we got all those press releases for various upcoming Sega stuff and the confirmation of Sonic Merchandise USA... the ones where 90% of SSMB ended up not caring about.

Well at least it seems they are keeping their word on increasing the branding and the influx of Sonic merchandise etc that they mentioned earlier in the year.

Hmm. While I'm not a retail owner, I could theoretically attend this expo... I do live in Las Vegas, after all.

 

My friend would go gaga over this. I think we will go. My father's always wanted me to get into the business of selling Sonic merchandise, after all.

 

If I'm not getting a Sonic Boom I could at least get this!

I don't want to be rude, but can you stop making totally unfounded matter-of-fact claims like this? You did this in the other thread too, where you were on about "Orbi" and SEGA being dissolved by the end of the year, as well as other predictions that never came to fruition (which honestly is hardly surprising given the complete lack of evidence) and other unfounded statements, such as how Sony bribed SEGA to port Sonic '06 to the PS3 and therefore it's Sony's fault the game sucked so much.

Neither I nor anyone else has any reason to believe that you have some special insider info, so what you're doing is tantamount to spouting bullshit.

Is "casino" another term for "Pachinko facility?" Because if that's the case, there's obvious merit in the idea considering Sega probably owes their existence to the business at this point. If we're talking Las Vegas-esque casinos, then no.

We came closest to this idea with a Gameworks, and it failed spectacularly.

 

The fact of the matter is that Sonic is meant as a brand for younger audiences, that is, audiences who have no money to spend gambling or are considered too irresponsible to be given the ability to gamble. So a Sonic-themed casino shall always be a pipe dream.

 

Now, a Sonic arcade for people to send their kids to while they go get drunk and blow their mortgage on slots, very doable, but if Gameworks couldn't pull it off, I think it's safe to put both ideas to rest for good.

Admitedly they might be better off releasing the news iniatly prior to E3 when there is less compeittion, then give further details at E3

This is what they always do. Colours, Unleashed, Generations, '06, Shadow and ASR were all announced with minimal details before E3, and more info was divulged at the event. I don't think that the Sonic series has the strength to do an E3 announcement too well.
