Yeah, I think it's safe to say that the PS4 is the Sonic of the next gen consoles.

Well, before designing the console Cerny had worked in Sonic 2.

just wait till developers collect the Chaos GDDRalds

Ladies and gentlemen...

This is either the worst videogame advert of all time... or the best.

Yes it is official. Playstation Belgium.

Am I the only one who thought the bulldog sounded like Cookie Monster?

Install speeds, PS4 vs Xbox One.

...Wow.

Installing Need for Speed Rivals, how long does it take? All in realtime.

Man, Sony really learned since the PS3; that thing took forever to install games (remember some full digital games from plus like Dragons Dogma taking at least an hour to install after downloading it...not to mention how long my disk games took to install....), so the PS4 taking little to no time intsalling games thanks to its PlayGo feature (which directly installs the games important stuff) is a really plesent surprise :).

Shame X1 owners have to deal with PS3-level install times though....it really sucks to wait so long to play a game you just brought :(.

Well clearly the Xbox One doesn't have Blast Processing *runs*.

Only a console as advanced as the MegaDrive could handle blast processing. :U

It becomes far more manageable once you remember that you can typically start playing at a point between 15%-20% of the download, so it actually differs pretty drastically from my experience downloading and installing on a PS3. That being said, that is indeed a glaring difference. Sony really upped their game (hehe) in this regard.

However, out of curiosity, does that download and installation time on the PS4 include updates?

What's really fast or slow now days? Is 10 minutes really that slow? Maybe I'm still locked into the past when downloading a 12 Gig game took DAYS. D: But the PS3 wasn't that slow.. least I don't think so. But I never cared, the new consoles are indeed faster tho. Wait.. how come we can't just play them instantly when the disc is put in? Why do they have to install in the first place?

I remember booting LittleBigPlanet Karting for the first time.

First a 10 minute update download.

Then another 10 minute download.

Then the 15 minute game installation.

Then a 1 minute and a half to load up the tutorial level. (LBPK takes you straight to the tutorial level if playing for the first time)

Gawd I had to wait like 36 minutes before I can play that game.

I'm glad those days are over. I should be able to play my game within a few minutes, not forever.

Have you tried playing Little Big Planet 2 from an unpatched account recently?

That will really test your patience.

The disk drive cannot stream data from the disk into the PS4 to process fast enough, the Hard Drive however can.

Doesn't seem to be much fuss online for the EU launch of PS4. There's definitely not as much as there was for the Xbox One. Not much press coverage either. Oh, and PS4 isn't even in the UK Twitter trends. Xbox One was on that system's launch.

Pretty much everytime I had to play that game after a month-long gap ever since I got it, I was faced with one-to-two hours' worth of updates. |:-|

As much as I see "$399!" parroted across message boards, Sony sure seem willing to throw that away in extravagant bundles... I would take a guess as to what is next, but I'm sure they have something in mind that will blow it away.

Thats not an official Sony bundle, thats something zavvi have thrown together.

I still find it pointless to have a bundle with both the PS4 and Vita. It's like Sony wants to get rid of their poorly selling handhelds so bad, they want sell it as an extra controller instead. Not to mention the extra money it costs to get both in the same bundle!

Oh, so we're gonna forget this used to be a handheld and now it's just a controller for the PS4? That's nice.

Remote Play doesn't just let you use your PS Vita as a controller, it lets you play your PS4 games on it, too. It's handy if someone wants to use the TV.
