Lol, classic Sonic rocking Shadow Cosplay. Love it!

Well I can't say I'm surprised it's just a classic Sonic wearing a Shadow costume. Better than nothing, still pretty neat to see some Shadow representation especially within the classic series. I wonder if he has new animations to mimic Shadow's differing run.

Still kind of wish it was a classic rendition of Shadow himself being playable. I know there's the concern of "but Shadow doesn't exist in the classic era timeline-wise so he can't he a playable character"
It's a DLC. It doesn't have to be canon. Let things break canon for the sake of being fun every now and then.

Oh...glitch. turn super, then deactivate it. The costume retains a yellow finish that makes it sort of look like super shadow

Goofed around with it myself on Switch. (Costume is free!)

I like it. It's silly and cute, and it gave me a reason to play Superstars again, if only for a small amount of time.

That's just the effects of the emerald powers, not a costume exclusive glitch afaik

Nice to see SEGA went with the best possible option, Sonic bringing back the classic frown in a effort to try to replicate Shadow is just the cherry on top.

All skin Shadow, heroes rise again, worn by all your friends. When there's nothing left to wear.

It’s simultaneously cute as heck (I love it) and yet also so incredibly lame as hell that they just couldn’t go the full hog.

An extra character option in Shadow would have given me a small semblance of reason to give this game another go - cosplaying does not.

Still, it’s free - so lovely all the same. I want Amy as Rouge nextpleasethx.

Wow, I didn't expect that! He's really cute! Now I got a reason to replay the game and finally get that Fourth Chaos Emerald! (And the rest of them too)

Of course Sega didn’t have the balls to actually put Shadow in.

The skin doesn't seem to work for the PS4 version for now, I'm currently doing a PS4 Superstars 100% run for the 52 Game challenge and patiently waited for this to release in order to do a 'Shadow' run.

It works on the PS5 version, but currently no luck equiping it with the PS4 Version on PS5.

On the one hand, I suppose we shouldn't have expected a proper "Classic Shadow", even as a non-canon bonus, given Sega's emphasis on not using him in that design space; but on the other hand, I don't think I'd ever have expected this, either.

Would it kill you to find it funny at least and take it in good humour even if it is an observation of Sega taking notes off the fandom?

Sega isn't even the only corporation that directly responds to its fans with "clever" wink wink nod nods in their products let alone love letter products to fans of a series/product.

I know it's annoying it's just Sonic in a Shadow costume, but I must admit Sonic does look a bit cute with a Shadow costume on with the angry face.
