I think it's quite cute, and much more appealing than both Leafeon and Glaceon in terms of aesthetics. I don't know exactly why those two irk me, but they just do.

Neither of those two can match the elegance of Espeon, come on now.

Anyway, this design overall is fine, except those butterfly-shaped... things on it kinda irk me. It makes the design look much more busy than it has to be. I do like the blue eyes, though. It's like Victini fused with Eevee.

Anyway, of the types that an Eeveelution hasn't been yet, I'd say it looks like either a Normal-type or Fighting-type, and maybe even a Dragon-type. I only say that because all of the Eeveelutions so far have been types that were Special-only before Gen IV, and from that list only Dragon-type remains.

Assuming they don't add a new type, of course.

Count me in for team normal type, I mean I feel like it'd be weird if they just all of a sudden switched the eeveelutions from special to physical so that's why I'm not thinking flying or whatever (yes I know the types aren't classified like that anymore and normal was a physical type....but fuck you)

Here's what I'm going to speculate. This Eeveelution is Flying type.
Why? Because I don't think they'd reuse a previous type of Eeveelution,
including being a Normal-type evolve for Eevee (at least not this soon, I
thought they'd do that when they ran out of other types. Besides, it
looks drastically different from Eevee, which would be weird for a
"Normal" type evolution).

Now here's where things get very grain-of-salty. I don't think it's any
other type because I think it does not look remotely like a Bug, Dragon,
Fighting, Steel, Ground, Rock, Ghost or Poison type. You might argue it
looks nothing like a flying type either, but here's what I think gives
it a little credibility compared to my almost no faith in it being
anything else. The ribbons flowing from its bows may be able to help it
glide through the air.

And then I thought "what if this Eeveelution is gender-specific, since
it has bows, ribbons, and is partly pink?" I've speculated like many
others have, thinking X and Y will give some more significance to Gender
differences in Pokemon. So I think the evolution method will involve
evolving a specific-gender Eevee in a way that was not feasible before
this Gen. I think like all the other Eeveelutions, this one will come
with a second one, who if I'm right, would be male-only. I'm not gonna
guess that one's type though, as we haven't seen proof there will even
be a second one yet, so this is where I end my crackpot theory. Even if
I'm wrong, this was interesting enough to get me thinking and discussing
about it!

Who knows? Maybe they'll change the gender ratio for Eevee (which means 32.5% of males will have their dicks turned into vaginas) so it's 50/50...

 

Or maybe they'll pull out another Eeveelution and Ninfeon will only be available in X, while "Random"eon will be available in Y...

 

I dunno, just grasping at straws here.

Something about the funky eyes make it look out of place with the other eeveelutions and I'm not super into the bows but for the most part I think it's cute.

Man this thing looks weird, it's blank eyes are staring into my soul... at least it's keeping us guessing as to what type it'll be. Tbh I could still see it being Dragon type, with the dramatic trails thing it's got going on and the mystically weird eyes. The ribbons make me think Normal though.

 

Also Glaceon's wink on that page is adorable.

The eyes have the same coloring style as the Eeveelutions (except for Umbreon, but it's effectively the dark counterpart to the group), with a deep color making the eyeball, a lighter shade of that color fading from the darker color as the eye reaches the border, and the white section as the pupil.

Ninfia's eyes just look out of place because of how bright the blue that makes the eyeball is. It lacks contrast.

EDIT: I've just thought, what if this is it's Shiny form? It's got sparkles around it in the advert for the Eevee short and it would explain why we can't work out anything about it from it's colours.
