Charn raised his arm and took the slash there. He looked at the mark for a few seconds, before forming a metal ball which shaped itself into a large sword. As he swung at Genji (with deceptive speed for its size), his head swung around to Nicole, and his mechanical brain saw her as a computer program. To Nicole's horror, he was starting to hack into her own systems!

"Don't try to resist, virus," Charn coldly told Nicole as he turned back to Genji. "After all, it's ultimately for your own good."

"N...NO!" Voidica shouted, standing up. "You're lying! I-I can't die! I CAN'T!" She turned around and ran away from Sayaka, running deep into the forest. Never had Voidica felt so alone... not since before she met Lumina...

Sayaka reaches out to Voidica, but she is already too far gone. She slowly looks behind herself, not sure on what to do.

Behind her, Sonic and Kaede are continuing to fight, but at this point, they have gone completely on the defensive with Kaede shielding herself and Sonic as they fire from within. However, this allows Kaede to get a good look at what has just unfolded.

Kaede looks at Sayaka's unsure and distraught face with a determined, serious expression. "Sayaka, go!" She yells. "Go to her!

Sayaka steps back slightly, but nods, knowing Kaede has a point. The Magical Girls run ahead, going deeper into the forest.

Sarge quickly opened fire on Charn after seeing Nicole get hacked. "Stay the hell away from the A.I.!" He yelled. He knew it was useless but standing there and doing nothing wasn't right.

"You, you mean jerk!" Mog yelled at Charn. She then threw a bubble at him... wasn't going to do a thing but something was better than nothing.

Nicole just stumbles back, falling over. "Wh-wha...?! Get out of my systems!" she shouts at Charn, holding her head. She winces as her computer defences try pushing back. "Get... Out...! Agh..."

At this point, Omega and Chi couldn't just stand around and do nothing! "Omega! Guns! NOW!" Chi demanded, as Omega readied his weapons. Chi then scanned Omega's weapons, turning him into an 'Omega' form, equipping himself with missiles and two powerful gatling guns. "Oh... Yeah..." said Chi, feeling a little more confident with these new toys. "Hey, Charn!" he announced, to get the overlord's attention. "You want something to hack?!" Chi's third eye then activated, enhancing his reflexes. "Hack this!" he shouted, firing his weapons around Charn. Despite being worried of getting successfully hacked, the android kept firing.

Meanwhile, Silver was unable to move after being struck by Charn's earlier attack on him. Seeing someone approaching, he could only mutter one word, "...R-ray...?"

"NGAH! So he's a hacker too!?", Undyne said as she worked to counter the firewall with her own summoned water. Unfortunately, Charn's attacks forced her to keep somewhat on the defensive, repelling blows with her spears, leaving her straining!

"There anything this guy can't do!?", she said frustrated.

"Nicole!", Storm cried out seeing her ally writhing in pain. "Demon bot! Unlatch from her in mind, body and soul this instant!", she commanded.

Knowing that the nearby firewall would likely melt any ice storm she'd throw at him, she instead opted to blast Charn with high velocity gale force wind to push him away and break his concentration on hacking Nicole!

Before Omega could join in with Chi though, Hsien Ko called over to him.

"Omega! Stay close to me!", she said to the fellow weapons specialist. "My sister, Mei Ling! She can help keep you warded from Charn's hacking abilities, but in her current form, it's of limited range, hence why she's attached to my hat!", she said pointing to the ward up top that was keeping herself in check.

Turning her attention to Charn, she said, "Hey! Dome Goblin! You remind me of Pyron! Dark, and blazing, prideful elemental. And too arrogant for your own good!",

"I'm here Silver." Ray calmly spoke to the white hedgehog. He then gently clasped Silver's hand and began to glow, hoping at the very least make him feel calm and at ease. "It'll be O.K. I hope, the robots, Sarge, Undyne... everyone is fighting Charn. But I'll stay with you...at least until Sayaka comes or you get your strength back." 

There isn't much I can do anyway... I wish I had more control over myself, I'm starting think I'm better off as a freak then as a wimp.

While the Skylanders continued to face Charn, Voidica had managed to catch up to the Jessica she knew (and Yuta).

"How are they getting on, dare I ask?" Jessica asked Voidica. Looking down at her, she saw her eyes red and wet with tears. "Oh no," Jessica gulped. "D...did he manage to..."

Jessica's thoughts were interrupted when she saw Sayaka coming up towards them.

"J-Just what happened?!" Jessica asked, her emotions somewhere between confused and afraid.

"You did WHAT?!" Jessica exclaimed. Voidica only broke down further - even Jessica was confirming this horrible truth!

"Oh this is terrific, this is bloody terrific!" Jessica muttered as she paced back and forth. "Now we're going to be major pricks if we force her to die, and time's going to be even more royally fucked if we don't! This is marvelous, this is!"

Jessica stopped as she saw herself glowing. I suppose this means my past self's still alive... not that it'll mean much, now...

Back at the battlefield, Charn lept high into a treetop. Much of the area had been decimated by this point.

"GRRR! I have something impo-po-po-po-po-portant to be doing, and you unpleasant chi-chi-chi-children are getting in my way!" His tone was more angry and ittirable, and his speech stuttered, breaking the illusion of a human voice. That was nothing, however, next to the appearance of a large, firery scarlet aura around him, indicating a powerful Death magic blast was coming their way. Klaxons practically blared in the Skylanders' skulls... but as they looked down, they saw themselves glowing. Nicole even felt the effects of Charn's attempted hack being undone.

Kaede, unsure if they'll be too late strengthens her forcefield, bracing herself for what could come.

Ray hugged Silver's hand tightly while Mog and Sarge braced for impact. 

Come on, come on! We gotta go damn it! Sarge yelled internally hoping to be teleported away before Charn unleashed his final attack. Mog was holding his head very tightly trying to look away from the bright red like.

"We'll make it! I know we will!" Mog said determined while trying not to cry.

"W-Well, Lil' Lucy, I'm glad we had that music duel!" Ibuki said, shaking Lumina's hand.

"Likewise!" Lumina said, her gaze fixated on Charn.

Charn fired a large ray of Death magic straight at the Skylanders. Mercifully for them, their vision turned white moments before the scarlet ray struck the ground. Once it dissipated, Charn lept down from the tree and raced back to where Jessica had been, glowing lines akin to arteries appearing in his eyes. He feverishly looked around the area, but it was too late; once again, Jessica had escaped.

Charn bellowed a harsh synthetic cry as he furiously felled a tree with but a single punch.

When all was not white, the Skylanders looked around to see where they were now. To their surprise, they found themselves back on the island they'd first appeared on, pink crystal and all!

"W-what?!" Ibuki screamed, her head darting back and forth. "What what what what what what what what?! We were nearly about to be atoms in the wind, and-and-and now we're back where we started?!"

Lumina sighed. "I'm glad we're faaaaar away from him!" She sat down to catch her breath... and caught notice of Voidica kneeling next to Jessica and Sayaka, weeping. She instantly got up and raced over to hug her. "There, there! See, we're OK! You're OK! Oh, I was so worried Charn had gotten to you-"

"L...Lumina..." Voidica sobbed, "I... I don't want to die..."

Lumina looked up at Sayaka and Jessica. "...What did you two do?!" she asked, her voice unsettlingly cold and sharp.

Sayaka jolts at Lumina's tone of voice. It's unlike anything she ever heard from her. Despite that, she tells the truth. "I told Voidica... that she has to die." She admits, her hands gripping on her skirt as she sits down, looking defeated.

With the hack failed, Nicole got up, rubbing her head and holding her computer close. "Agh... How did you... Even see me...?" she asks, her voice strained.

Genji raises his sword to block the blast. He knows it wouldn't be of any use, but it was worth a try...

Genji's eyes dart around, confused. "We teleported again? Seriously?" He sheathes his katana, his dragon fading away, as he goes to see how Jessica was holding up.

"Systems restored," Nicole states, as she brushes off any dust. "Now, what is going on here?"

"Yay we made it!" Mog cheered!

"*phew* That, that was close." Sarge breathed a sigh of sweet relief. He didn't think he'd be happy to see the island again.

Ray wasn't as happy, he was still holding silver's hand and then noticed Voidica was crying... he was now torn between Silver and Voidica, his empathy wanted to comfort both.

He kept looking flustered... well on the bright side at least Charn isn't here? Right?

As they appeared back where they started, Silver breathed a sigh of relief... though was still struggling. "T-that was... too close..." he muttered, before seeing Ray beside him. "...You okay?" Silver asked the squirrel, possibly more concerned for Ray than Ray was for him. Meanwhile, Chi and Omega looked around, with Chi having reverted to his regular form. "THE MONOCROME CHILD HAS BEEN FOUND!" said Omega, pointing to Voidica. Chi, relieved that she was okay, checked to see how she was doing, but soon noticed a conflict between Lumina and Sayaka. While only hearing some of what they were talking about, it was enough for Chi to back off.

Lumina was silent. She was speechless, only hugging Voidica even tighter. Her gaze, however, was one of absolute, barely restrained fury.

"J-J-Jessica..." Voidica asked, "y...you were never b-b-born with your Magic C-Core... were you?"

Jessica could only close her eyes and frown. "No, I wasn't. I made it up so you wouldn't know." She looked over to the cave. "In a few minutes, I'm going to come out of that cave, then Charn... appears... and then I'll absorb your Magic Core." Jessica took a deep breath, and added, "I'm sorry, I really am... but it has to happen, or else I'll never become a Sorceress to begin with."

Lumina was starting to tear up as well, her happy bubbly persona disappearing almost immediately. "B... But I don't want to lose her again..."

"LUMINA!" Voidica screamed, her voice loud and hoarse. "I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I DON'T WANT TO DIE! T-THERE HAS TO BE ANOTHER WAY! P-PLEASE TELL ME THERE'S ANOTHER WAY!"

"I... I don't know..." Lumina whispered, looking around her. "I don't know..."

Sarge remained silent from what he heard this was going to be very difficult to talk about.

"Look, Lumina, Ibuki doesn't like this either, she really doesn't," Ibuki said, kneeling down next to the Light Elemental. "But if Voidica lives, Jessica won't ever become a Sorceress. She won't survive against all the horrible things on this planet, she'll never meet us, she'll never meet you! And what about you and all the other Elementals? You won't meet us either, and who knows how long it'll be before that creepo comes gunning for you?"

Lumina rubbed her eyes. She knew this had to be done, she loved Jessica as a dear friend... but Voidica was like her sister. She didn't want to lose either of them...

Voidica started calming down. "L-Lumina... i... if I have to die..."

"OH COME THE FUCK ON, YOU FOLLOWED US HERE, TOO?!"

Another voice rang out, and everyone was caught off-guard. Looking up in the sky, they saw Beta and Cassidy, flying above the Skylanders.

Both Chi and Omega were surprised to overhear what Voidica shouted, and were left speechless. This didn't last, however, when the familiar voices of Cassidy and Beta were heard approaching from the sky.

The hedgehog then becomes quiet.

"...But at the same time, we'll lose Jess. It's such a lose-lose situation with all of time in the balance. I think all we can do is set the timeline straight..." He sadly concludes.

Kaede puts her hand over her mouth. "No... there has to be another way, right?! A miracle. Anything?! Do we just let it end like this?!"

Sonic and Sayaka could say only nothing at this request.

"Sonic, Sayaka, please! Can't we do anything! I want us ALL to survive!" Kaede yells, her hands balling up. "...We have to..."

She then hears a voice in her head.

There's... no way. I don't want to admit it... but there are sometimes where you just have to lose someone. Can't you see, me?

Kaede's eyes widen. "A-Apollo...? M-My Shadow?"

In her mind, she could see a figure manifest only to her. It looks exactly like her, but with darker attire. There's no doubt about it to her. It's her other personality she was born with.

Me, think about this. The chances to save Voidica and set the timeline straight is impossible. You can't just stick to that naive mindset and reject the truth in front of you. Shadow Kaede explains.

Kaede, teary-eyed only nods silenty. "There is... no other way...?"

Before Sonic could speak up...

Ray immediately formed a shield around Silver and himself, he was not letting Silver get hurt anymore, not by these two clowns anyway. "Don't worry Silver, I'm going to give it all I got to keep you safe!"

"Mean lady and wimpy robot go away!" Mog yelled before pegging a bubble bobble at Cassidy's head.

Sarge readies his Lancer. "You two don't know when to quit do you? Well allow us to spell it out for you, fuck off!" He hisses, his glare is in full effect, staring down the two goons.

Jessica looked up at the pair of time travellers. "So let me guess; you've realised that having just the one Monokuma to kill a powerless me still wasn't enough?"

"H-Hey now, shut your mouth!" Beta shouted, "I'm the psychic in the-" *CLANG!*

Cassidy calmly punched Beta in the back of his head and swung her head away from the Bubble Bobble. "However did you know?" she asked, sarcastically.

Ibuki smirked defiantly. "Tell your boss this; he was THIS close to killing us, but then you two had to try this last-minute scheme to kill Jessica, and as a result, we were sent back along with you! HAH!"

Beta trembled. "OH NO! SHE'S RIGHT! W-W-W-What are we gonna d-do?!" he asked Cassidy.
