So. How great is the art style in Smash 4?

It's able to seamlessly replicate Mario's look in Mario and Luigi: Dream Team without changing the original model.

Now that he's not a last minute inclusion hopefully they'll give him a stronger smash attack.. I mean opponents recovering at 140% is pretty ridiculous considering most of the other characters can knock you out at 80%

 

Anyway, welcome back Sonic! I know it sounds greedy but I'm still hoping for Classic Sonic to show up (kinda like Link/Toon Link)

Really glad he's back, didn't expect an announcement this soon but I guess it is the last Direct before Lost World, and he did deserve a little video as a guest character, even if he is a veteran.  I would have been genuinely shocked if he wasn't in though, so I'm not jumping up and down with excitement.  I like to play as him with people less skilled than me for a more fun handicap than just wacking up my percentage.  He's fun to use but I'm not very good at it lol.

Oh boy. Now this is gonna be tricky for the money on Christmas. What to buy...

Smash 4 isn't out until next year.

i kinda wished they changed Sonic's moveset up a bit. I hope he doesn't have the downB spindash and the SideB again. Evident from the trailer though, he does still have the SideB spin dash

Ahem. Glee. This makes me jolly beyond belief.

Love the choice of Mega Man and Mario as his initial opponents there.

I do hope that some of his moves have been changed, and that this time around he has more killing power. Brawl was just absolutely imbalanced at times, so I hope Sakurai makes good his ideas on patching and balancing the game as we go... there's no reason we should have characters as cheap as Snake or Metaknight when there's free internet access.

Ergo, I'm hoping he's a lot easier to play as this time around.

So Sonic's back, that's cool.

They better change his moveset up a bit. Rush job in Brawl or not, there's no excuse for him to still be shitty in Smash 4.

There. Look at Mario upon getting hit. He goes through hitstun, tumbles, and then suddenly and immediately gets back to his air fall pose.

That's how long hitstun lasts in the game.

I'm happy that he is in again, this time, hopefully, stronger than before. He was one of my mains in Brawl, alongside Luigi and the Ice Climbers.

Also...don't hate me for this but...yeah, I'm kinda bummed that they decided to put Windy Hill as his homestage. Sure, the game is coming out in a matter of days but...I would have preferred other levels like "Emerald Hill", "Sky Sanctuary" or, heck, even Tropical Resort would have been fine.

Waheeeeeeeeeey! I'm so happy to see that he's back in! I didn't expect him to be announced before Lost World came out. This game can't come soon enough.

tbh I was expecting a stage based off of Generations before Lost World. Maybe it would go through the White World and spend a certain amount of time in each of the stages?

 

Okay no that would be terrible but still

 

Multiple Sonic stages would be nice, even if we have no chance of any other characters

I must admit that's more or less how I felt. I buy Smash because it's a fun party game, but Sonic absolutely sells the title for me. In my opinion, one of the best deals SEGA's ever made is getting Sonic in this and Brawl.

Yeah, I would rather they had chosen something different like Chemical Plant or a casino stage this time around.

OMFG YESH SONIC! X3 I'm pleased to see him in SSB4! Here's hoping he plays much better too since he hasn't been rushed into the game like last time. Also, I think that's it now for third party characters. Highly doubt we're going to see Snake return. >>
