Truly brilliant- that just made my week. Like, I expected him to be there, but I didn't think it'd be this awesome! =D

I sexie'd up my avatar.

So, today we got Knuckles, Billy Hatcher, Alex Kidd, Bingo Highway and another new course. Nice turnout. It's surprising that Knuckles is driving neither a car or bike- and it's a good thing too. The vehicle variation looks to be really good. Tails in plane, Eggman in another of his crazy mechs, Kidd on a bike. I wonder what else'll show up, eh?

No more Sonic characters confirmed, matey. We gots Sonic, Tails, Eggman, Amy, Big, Shadow and KNUCKLES. It's just that awesome. 7 Sonic characters is plenty though- I really want to see some Ulala now. It's likely she'll be in anyway.

So we get not one, not two, not three... but FOUR new characters? Crikey!

I can't wait to race as Knuckles and Billy Hatcher, and it's nice to see Beat back too... I never really took to Alex Kidd in SST but it's cool he's in too.

This is looking awesome. Cannot wait to play the demo at SoS now.

The GamesCom official trailer is out! Looks great- I'm happy to see Knuckles as that last character too. ;D He's included in the trailer. Coming February 2010.

Trailer was pretty eh, really. Nothing much in it. And the music they used was weak.

Just generic place holder music until Jacques, or whoever's working on it finishes the proper soundtrack I guess. Still ages until February.

Ah yeah, I know that. Trailer music tends to be the most awesome track from the game or something generic they found in a quick google search (well, not really but you get the point).

Yeah I agree with you, or so it should be! Like the SEGA Superstars Tennis trailer, the main theme music in that was fantastic. Actually, how early did they announce SST? It wasn't ten months early (before release), was it?

Meh... That kinda sucks... I was hoping they'd include Sonic levels from DIFFERENT games, not more from Sonic Heroes. Still, Bingo Highway looks pretty cool... though are we sure it isn't actually the other casino level?

Casino Park? Could very well be that. I think Bingo Highway is the the name that'll stick in your head more, not to mention that the name lends itself to racing.

Huh... I thought it was Casino Park, but then I mixed it up with Circus Park from Shadow the Hedgehog. Anyway, I still was hoping for something else... maybe its actually a different "carnival" level, but it does look most like the Heroes stages. Frankly, I hope it -isn't- the Heroes stage, because I wanted stages from DIFFERENT games.

Heroes stages are easiest to do. Why? Because textures already exist for them. Don't forget though, Seaside Hill has Labyrinth Zone blocks about the place. Look at the hills, and behind the item boxes.

Heroes levels are done in such a style that is similar to classic, thus making them far more iconic than other 3D stages. Obviously, they don't have Green Hill, Mushroom Hill, Collision Chaos etc. textures available. That's not to say they couldn't make some, but using Heroes ones is much easier. The GHZ textures used in Super Stars Tennis were simply edits of SSH ones.

Looks great! I'm happy Knuckles got the final Sonic spot, he deserved it to be honest. I just hope they can lock the frame rate. If they can manage that I'll bite for sure.
