Wow!Good gameplay I must say!Kope there will be car choosing in the start of the race or just upgrading the one you have!

The graphics are .. woow!Is it powered with the ''Hedgehog engine''?

I'm really hoping they replace the engine noises, the current ones are terrible.
As long as it goes "Vrrrrrrrr" does it really matter?

Jesus, this place is a lot more active than it used to be. I saw the trailer and the E3 gameplay, and it looks pretty good. Considering Sega's done stuff like Rally, I might actually pick it up.

Obligatory Sonic Drift joke.

My sentiments exactly. Though I do enjoy seeing Sonic's road rage, pretty funny character animation.

Though funny, I sincerely hope to God that Sonic grabbing his crotch isn't supposed to be fan service.

The current one just sounds like Sonic's car is going "ehhhhh" the whole way around the track. If the CG trailer is anything to go by, Sonic's car has a horizontally opposed twelve cylinder engine, I'd expect it to sound a bit more lively.

This whole game seems afraid to do anything interesting.

What's wrong with Sonic driving a car, seriously?

Yes, he can run fast. Faster than a car.

But is there anything wrong with him enjoying driving, or a car-racing competition? I don't see why there should be.

Tails can fly naturally, but no one gives him flak for flying a plane.

I do. All the time. Freaking... mechanic... thinks he's as good as Eggman... *grumble*...

^ Yep. I'm liable to give this one a miss, if only because it looks like a casual-party-crossover game without any semblence of plot.

And I'm too misanthropic to actually go out and get friends to play it as a casual party game.

ALSO, I LIVE UNDER THE SEA AT DEPTHS WHERE THE PRESSURE WOULD CRUSH A TV. NO PROBLEMS WITH ELECTRICITY, THOUGH.

You know the rage people have about this: If it isn't Sonic running on his two feet in any game he's in, it's an instant fail. It doesn't matter if he's in GHZ or a blank plane of space, no feet = no good.

You can see the games E3 display in the background of this video, a giant cardboard cut-out of Sonic's artwork from SEGA's website leaning on the TV's instead of his car  3 TV's are running the game -

The title screen can be seen on the screens with Sonic, Tails and AiAi driving up to the title screen and doing one of their in-game animations. Also confirms the CG trailer is indeed the games intro as suspected.

I'm gonna still keep an eye on this one and although I love the fan service of this the thought of SEGA just slapping Sonic's face on to a kart racer just to make a quick buck is not to far from my thoughts. However knowing that Sumo are working on this i have faith after the fantastic job they did for the home port of OutRun 2.

It sucks that SEGA had to close SEGA Racing Studio if they were still around and did this i'm guessing it would have been a real classic after the fantastic SEGA Rally, but still Sumo have done a great job for SEGA in the past so I belive they will do a good job.

Cool, thanks for that.

Formats update at SEGA's sites

Because SEGA like to tamper with our minds

Playstation Network has now changed to PLAYSTATION®3 on both the U.S. and European pages. PC version is PC Download on the U.S. page and SEGA Europe have finally added the PC version to their page as simply PC, indicating a disc release in Europe.

Amazon dates sound right to me. SEGA and Amazon seem to communicate closely.

Can't be communicating too closely as SEGA have officially announced an October release for M&SOWG and Amazon are listing a Dec 31st release date in the U.S.

Amazon probably hasn't updated yet, they got a whole lot of dates to manage ya know ;)

What. DS?

They've gotta be playing with us now. It was never coming to DS.

WAIT. It was? Holy - wonder what that'll be like. Are racers typically good on the DS?

Sega Superstars Tennis did. Actually, the only console Sega Superstars Tennis is on that this game seems to be absent from is PS2.

I haven't really played many, but Mario Kart DS was amazing.

Mario Kart DS had very positive reception from critics and consumers alike. If Sumo Digital manages to port it as well, if not better than the Mario Kart series, it should be fine.

I'm a sucker for a good kart racer. Atari Karts, Mario Kart, CTR, whatever. I'll have to see how the Wii version turns out.
