Does anyone know if each race track will have multiple choices for BGM as in the previous title? If so, that is a Lotttttttttttttttttttt of remixes that I'm gonna be lookin' forward to. smile.png

No, sadly. Instead I heard they're going with a variable mix thing where the music changes with each mode or lap.

Oh well, that's understandable. After all, these are all remixes that we are talking about; don't wanna make the composers/ mix artists commit seppeku.

That was the joke, though. People are always complaining that eggmanland is the hardest level in sonic history (huge overreaction). Ergo, it would be kinda funny if the hardest track in the game would be eggmanland.

Well I wouldn't say the hardest, but it's defenitly the cheapest Edited by Djawed

As long as we get a remix of Daytona with the original vocalist, I'd back it.

I see. But the remix of Daytona with the original vocalist, does it mean it came from Saturn verison?

I think while the Eggman level may be called Eggmanland or what have you, as with all the other tracks in the game, it won't specifically be the Eggmanland that appeared in Unleashed.

Perhaps it's a composite base .Eggman loves robotics, he loves factories and laboratories, and he also loves gaming as evidenced by all the massive bases he constructs that are themed around casinos. He loves the smell of pollution and giant flame-spewing smoke stacks, but he also loves building playthings for his amusement. So maybe his track combines all these things into one supremely deadly and final track.

I'd call it the Egg Gauntlet, and make it the final course in the game. That'd be great.

I think Babylon Garden could make a pretty sweet Sonic track.

The first lap could combine Sky Road and the Heaven area of the Digital Dimension

The second lap could combine Babylon Garden and the Hell area of Digital Dimension with a possible Angelus cameo (plus a cool river of blood)

and The third lap could focus on the Black Hole thing from Zero Gravity, with a quick segment on a nearly completely destroyed Babylon Gardens, followed by most of the lap taking place in an area combining elements from the Mobius Strip and Astral Babylon courses with a possible Master Core Abyss cameo

Well, the Eggman themed level could well be the actual Robotropolis, Eggman Empire, Eggman City...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUGHHHHHHHHHHH NOT CANON

IT'S EGGMANLAND! EGGMANLANDEGGMANLANDEGGMANLAND!

Also, there should be one stage for every character in the game (except the Sonic characters).

Sonic, Tails, Amy - Green Hill Clone Zone

Knuckles - Angel Island (Sonic 3 and Knux medley level, fuck you, this would be awesome)

Eggman, Shadow, Metal Sonic - Eggmanland/Final Egg

NiGHTS - Nightopia/Spring Valley

Reala - Nightmare/Stick Canyon

Vyse - That one Asian-like sky island, can't remember, it's been forever.

It's a good idea, except it's been said that there's some IPs with only a racer or track.

That, and wasn't it shown that Nightopia and Nightmare are the same stage?

Yeah, but Reala's stage would start in and be more based in Nightmare, as opposed to NiGHTS's, which is the other way around. Also, Nightmare isn't one, definitive place, just like Nightopia. It's split up into different (mostly surreal and mysterious) environments, so having both Nightopia and Nightmare in multiple stages wouldn't be too awfully repetitive.

Goldman Building(Point A0063)/Venice, Italy from The House of the Dead 2 & 4 would make perfect tracks for Transformed if Sumo is aiming for the Dreamcast feel. James Taylor and other AMS agents drove around the city a couple times there.

With a cameo of "The Emperor" included? That'd be sweet

It would be surprising for the HOTD track to not be based in the mansion this time.

I just hope they finally use the "House of the Dead" moniker and not Curien Mansion. Let's see some real zombies, not "creatures". Have some blood visible on them. Don't wuss out here, zombies are already in everything and kids are used to the idea by now.

Maybe kids are, but ESRB and PEGI aren't. Why would SEGA be so stupid as to bump up a family racing game to a 12+ or higher age rating just for the sake of accurately portraying one franchise?

I agree that not using the name "House of the Dead" feels a bit silly but I can totally understand why they do it.

Getting rated E10 would be negligible. The same kids who would've bought the game before would still buy it.

The rating isn't the real reason they do that; It's because HOTD is banned in Germany and Australia. At least be happy the series is getting representation at all.

It's to do with House of the Dead Overkill and maybe other titles in the series were banned in Germany, ergo for SST and ASR SEGA decided it would be best to avert the most direct references to the series to avoid complications. It's not (just) a matter of rating.

Well, they did at least say "HOTD" in the character bios. Really, Curien Mansion doesn't bother me.

If they ever banned games such as house of the dead, here, I would be migrating to Canada or something. Seriously, house of the dead isn't even THAT violent. :/

I think that E+10 would be too harsh for a racing game. (well, under these circumstances, anways) I can't quite put my finger on what exactly would be too harsh in this game for kids of ages 9 and below. Violence? It's cartoon violence; kids see worse in cartoons. Partial Nudity? (Bayonetta, Ulala) As if any kids are going to be paying attention the characters' boob size... no.

I guess there could be a stupid reason like Shadow saying "DAMN! not here!" when he falls off the track (which would be hilarious; then again, just Shadow's grunts should be hilarious, with his new "You Gut This, Sunic" voice actor). But, I see no reason why this game would have a rating over E.

Blur and Split/Second got E10 ratings. So did Burnout Revenge. They didn't suffer for it.

I can understand changing the appearance of the zombies and stuff for Germany and Australia, but keeping that the same for all other regions would be disappointing.

I actually think this is quite a good idea:)... I think it could also work with the Sega themed tracks (SEGA Carnival then Illusion, parts of 80s B and 90s included etc).

Totally irrelevant as they are not family racing games and their primary audience is not "all ages" like the Sonic franchise is. There's absoloutely no reason this game would benefit from NOT having a E for everyone/3+ rating.

I'm aware the real reason House of the Dead isn't mentioned isn't due to age rating, but the toned-down zombies presumebly are.

Umm, except they are. My cousin was 5 when he bought Burnout Revenge. He played it religiously. What are you even talking about?

The Burnout series is way more family friendly in comparison to having even censored zombies in ASR.

Erm... From the wiki article:

"This series is well known for its emphasis on aggressive driving and high sense of speed. In-race rewards are given to a player if they take risks such as driving towards oncoming traffic or deliberately attempting to make their opponents crash."

Yeah that's real wholesome family entertainment there.

I mean I'm not saying Burnout isn't appropriate for kids, I'm just saying... this is a racing game with cartoon characters, wacky items and weapons and vibrant envioronments. It's a no-brainer which one is aimed for both kids and adults alike.

Why would you wreck that by insisting on representing a game series designed exclusively for adults with adult content like horror and blood when it's perfectly recognisable without those elements?
