Well there's only one way to settle this then.

Eggman and Parappa need to have a rap-off to see who's plan is the masteriest.

This was found along with the other artworks for the levels.

From the looks of it, it seems Eve's Asylum from LittleBigPlanet.

The LittleBigPlanet part its clearly Eve's Asylum from LBP2.

I wonder if we will see the loonies in there.

Crash Bandicoot, Spyro The Dragon or anybody else will NOT be joining the Battle Royale!

Sony has revealed that no more characters will be announced for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale’s launch. In a post on Twitter, PlayStation Blog senior social media specialist Sid Shuman wrote that “We have revealed the full launch lineup of characters,” confirming that All-Stars will ship with 20 fighters.

allstars.jpg

Keep in mind that All-Stars could easily add additional characters via downloadable content, so this doesn’t necessarily mean the roster will stay at 20 forever. For now, though, at launch you’ll have the following options:

  1. Big Daddy

  2. Cole MacGrath

  3. Evil Cole MacGrath

  4. Colonel Radec

  5. Dante

  6. Fat Princess

  7. Heihachi Mishima

  8. Jak and Daxter

  9. Kratos

  10. Nariko

  11. Nathan Drake

  12. PaRappa the Rapper

  13. Raiden

  14. Ratchet and Clank

  15. Sackboy

  16. Sir Daniel Fortesque

  17. Sly Cooper

  18. Spike

  19. Sweet Tooth

  20. Toro

Rumors in the past have suggested additional fighters such as Metal Gear Solid’s Snakeand Kat from Gravity Rush, though neither has ever been confirmed by Superbot.

That is apparently the final list, I'm sorry Crash Bandicoot, Gravity Rush, Spyro, and other famous Playstation franchises fans, but none of them will be in the finished product. (They still have a chance for DLC, right?)

Not surprising in the slightest.

..And here comes the bitching.

Whoa, seeing the number of people in the topic, you may literally have a point.

If this was Smash Bros. with Nintendo, they'd have seen the hype and put the 2 most wanted characters from the fans in the game, with Sony, I expected this, and even DLC isn't likely, to me.

...Ah well.

The confirmation of Eve's Asylum in there piqued my interest anyway. Wonder if there'll be a remix of the level music, that'd be dreamy! ohmy.png

.......... Well that sucks. While I'm fine with the base roster of fighters (bigger than the first smash bros., some great first party characters like Jak and Sir Dan), Superbot should of told fans from the start who and who wont join the roster. For the past few months people have been begging for characters like Crash, Spryo, Kat, Snake, Lara Croft, and Cloud to be in the game and Superbot should have not lead people on like that. Well, at least the game looks fun to play and I will still get it day one but hype wise Superbot shot themselfs in the foot.

I'm fine with the the roster how it is, a little more characters wouldn't have hurt but nothing to get worked up about.

So if no more characters...I wonder which of the 20 are unlockable thanks to the description of the Prima Official game guide.

I'm guessing this is just an early version of the current LBP stage.

I mean, why would they use the same vine platform in the middle?

The full roster? Oh well, this was already known for a while. TheMink confirmed that all the characters that where in the beta would complete the "in game" roster some months ago and once again he was right.

Now if his predictions where all 100% right we will get Kat from Gravity Rush, Ryo from Ninja Gaiden and some unknown character as DLC.

Meh, i still prefer to wait Superbot official announcements: this guy just told in the PSBlog a couple of hours earlier something like the opposite, so i don't know how much he's rightful. Plus, SuperBot themselves stated this yesterday: https://twitter.com/SuperBotEnt/status/251489679994650624

Paul Gale on the other side is shocked at least as everyone:

@ErnestoMaltosE Not what I've been told.

Overall, the situation is really confusing, and sadly, the keyword one again is "wait".

He said "launch lineup".

In other words they probably cut shit out for DLC, i.e the characters TheMink suggested. Wonderful. Also, the stuff that SuperBot and the PR guy said earlier don't speak exclusively in terms of character reveals, but also "general reveals".

And if, considering hypothetically, there are more characters in the game that people want (Crash, Cloud, whoever people would get the game for) that are hidden/unlockable/saved for last they've completely shit the bed in terms of garnering attention. Honestly it doesn't matter whether there's one, two or four more characters than what we already have. This game is such a mess already due to how Sony's been handling it and it's practically dead on arrival.

I really have no idea how everything went so wrong for this game. It's just... good god. It's like this is being put out by a Sega B-Studio.

I was bashing this game when they announced it because I hated the idea. I played it at target a week ago, and my opinion of the game hasn't changed one bit. I really do hope it fails. I still can't believe they'd copy Smash Bros. It's not even anywhere near as good as it. The things it tries to do to differentiate itself from smash bros still come off to me as a desperate attempt to change some things around so that it wouldn't be exactly like Smash bros. But in the end it feels like a poor mans version.

I haven't been keeping up with most of the news on this game until more recently, anyone want to summarise how much Sony fucked up with the PR for this title and why?

Basically, the guy responsable of the PS Blog made a Twitter post saying that all the characters are revealed. Shtistorm raged, people speculated, Paul Gale lost 10 years of his life, the usual stuff.

Paul Gale was used as a PR crutch to push interest when the only thing he's been doing is faffing about with stupid hints. The game had a massive beta leak which revealed all the characters causing them to just give up and release batches of character trailers within the span of three weeks once Evil Cole was revealed (arguably GameSpot leaking game play videos of these as well), eventually leading them to leave fans out in the dark and basically do absolutely nothing to promote it while Paul Gale continues to try to outsmart TheMink on NeoGAF. The only place where hype still exists for the title is at GAF and even they are starting to feel cheated out of this.

Honestly, despite me not liking the game I really feel for SuperBot here. This is a scenario I don't think anyone would ever want to be in. I'm not even irritated anymore, I'm just really, really sad that this had to happen since no game deserves this kind of result.

... Okay, yeah, that is pretty fucked up. I'm surprised anyone took Paul Gale seriously, before all this all I knew about him is that he was a laughing stock. And the beta leak is hilarious amounts of fail in top of that, seriously, if the Sonic Generations demo proved anything, you shouldn't leave that sort of shit lying around in a beta/demo's data, hackers will find it, no question.

I can definitely see how Sony fucked up beyond belief. I don't envy Superbot right now.

Well, this is still a day one for me. The concept alone made me interested in the game, but playing it turned my interest into a must buy.

I'm happy with the current roster with the exception of Big Daddy, either way it still makes more sense than Snake being in Brawl.

What makes me a bit sad its the fact that SuperBot wasted money to get the rights for guys like Big Daddy and Raiden instead of much bigger Playstation names. The fact that those characters made into the "main roster" while Kat is rumored to be DLC its really absurd.

Anyway, what I think that screwed this game where the leaks and the way SuperBot dealt with them was even worse.

Fighting games leak all the time, UMVC3 leaked, TTT2 leaked, even DOA5 leaked, but I didn't saw the companies that develop those games rush the reveals like SB did. They pretty much killed all the hype 2 months before the game is released.

Like I said, this will still be a day one for me, but they shouldn't expect many people to act the same way as me.

I used to be excited for this game, but after the PR mess it has gone through and seeing the roster, I'm not really that interested anymore. :/

Ah well, at least I haven't tried Project M for SSBB yet....hopefully that can fill the gap until SSB 3DS/Wii U is announced....

@TMSP

No, what I still find absurd is them wasting a fucking space on Evil Cole.

Seriously, of all the Franchises to get a second rep, it had to be Evil god damn Cole.

I don't think Evil Cole was that big of a waste. Besides, he plays completely different.

It's not like he's Dr. Mario in Melee.

Well, Evil Cole has a completely different moveset from Good Cole so I can see why SB did it, either way they should only had chosen one "version" of Cole for this and keep the other for DLC instead of important characters or save it for a sequel.
