In the console version you just boost until you get 2 purple orbs, then you boost in PURPLE. Big difference, right?

He doesn't throw chaos spears until he powers up.

You can know out shadow, keep in the line with the rings, etc by boosting.

Let's see if you can play this by holding the Y button:

Casino Night

Metal Sonic

Water Palace

Do it.

Because I'd beat him faster on the 3DS version. Seriously both versions of the fight are down right terrible, Both are boost to win, but atleast the 3DS version dosen't prolong this farce it's much shorter.

Something that doesn't happen in JENURASHUNS because that fight is completely barren.

What the fuck does this even mean?

Casino Night is too busy trying to give us pinball mechanics with terrible physics.

Haven't bothered watching Metal Sonic, but I already know the real fight is better anyway.

Water Palace is copy/pasta from a better game.

Shadow throws you Chaos Spears in Generations 3DS without the need of a stupid power up

Exactly what it says, you just boost and you win

Not accepting the challenge? then you haven't even played it. Your video still fails and doesn't prove nothing.

Look, the video is a tad daft, if indeed you are under the assumption that the person who made it is being totally serious with it, which I don't think he is. But even though he is taking the piss a little, there is a good point that he's making with it. If I'm totally wrong with this then by all means let the video maker please correct me.

*reads over thread*

*realizes a lot of people think the game is terrible*

*realizes that some people like the game*

*realizes that people who hate the game NEED to make the people who like the game know that it is terrible*

Let's see:

Metal Sonic: Nope

Death Egg Robot: Nope

Shadow: Yes

Perfect Chaos: Nope

Silver: Kinda

Egg Dragoon: Nope

Time Eater: Nope

It doesn't. Only Shadow is boost to win.

Actually, Perfect Chaos actually is a bit boost to win, especially in Hard Mode (barring his desperation mode)

I don't hate the game, I just find it bland and uninteresting.

The only time I saw boosting as a practical way to beat Chaos was the very end. So it honestly was that much boosting

I also classify the Egg dragoon in the BTW category. Aside from the skydiving segment.

No, the full 3D Hard Mode, not the normal fight.

Only Shadow is boost to win.

I just played the shadow fight, and like the video, I did nothing but hold the boost button.

At 24 seconds, I lost. I could not boost because I ran out of energy (Something I fail to see ever happening in the 3ds version) and I could not move because it's obvious the guy playing Gens 3ds didn't use the control pad.

I think most people here fail to know what Boost to win actually means. It doesn't mean "Boost is a big factor in this boss, so it's boost to win!" It's "I did nothing but hold the boost button throughout the entire boss, and won."

I also classify the Egg dragoon in the BTW category. Aside from the skydiving segment.

No, I'm sorry but dear god no. If you so much as do nothing but boost against Egg Dragoon, you will die. In 3D sections he will throw his claw at you, or freeze/use LAZOR on the floor to kill you. 2D, he traps you in a wall, and shoots you with ice missiles. Even in the skydiving section you have to move around or else you will get hit and die.

There is nothing to Boost to win in that boss at all.

OK,you are just wrong, you have to keep an eye for rings to keep your boost gauge filled, you have to keep an eye on the ramps, you have to switch rails and jump over spikes, there are the parts where you jump over ice beams(yeah, try holding boost during that part, that will get you far) and wall jump your way to the boss.

So... Egg dragoon is boost to win?:
