Wait.

One handheld level representation? I... guess that's better than nothing.

One and a half, if you count Tropical Resort.

But wow, Water Palace? And a 90% review score? I am excite.

To be honest it looks more like Water Palace, look at the background in the Gen version then look at the Rush version

They look near identical just with more greenery

Not sure what I would like more though Water palace makes one more non first stage and a handheld representation

I took so long to write this post and get them images that it was confirmed >.>

Yup, it's Water Palace. Wow, I gotta say it ain't a bad list, I just wish they could have squeezed some Sonic Rush Adventure in there, maybe Blizzard Peaks or somethin'. Plus even though I adore that Emerald Coast music, Windy Valley or Red Mountain may have been better levels, just for originality's sake.

Hm, never thought I'd be pleased at being wrong. Though Water Palace wouldn't be my first choice for a handheld level representative, I just glad that the handheld games are getting due attention at all.

It looks like Modern Sonic will have the Laser Wisp

This makes me far happier than it probably should.

I am going to absolutely adore Tropical Resort.

So we will fight Silver in Water Palace or Tropical Resort. Both would be awsome (Especially Water Palace with all its gimmicks that can be used with Silver's psychokinesis. But heck same for Tropical Resort). I guess we will see.

Stage looks awsome. I guess my cousin will buy 3DS ver. so I'll play it then. My bets for Bosses are:

-Biolizard (Even if just for the sake of music)

-Some Rush Boss or EGG Genesis or Cerberus (Wyvern???)

I'm guessing Tropical Resort. Partly because Silver actually appeared in Colours DS so it makes more sense for him to be there, but also because the rival battles seem to take place in the second stage of each era (Metal Sonic = Casino Night, Shadow = Radical Highway)

As for bosses... please please please gimme Nega Egg Wisp

God damnit! I made a Windmill Isle video for my countdown dry.png. I blame you all :V

Can't wait to hear the "Back 2 Back" remix. I LOVED that song in Rush.

Honestly, it's not that bad of a level selection, it's certainly more varied than the console version. I still wish there were more than just seven stages however, and some Advance and Rush Adventure love would have been great.

I can't see all but this is what I can translate

the title of the page:

The levels that made history

the paragraph under it

In Generations we revisit the best levels in sonic game. From the megadrive/genesis to the Wii, the game recovers worlds and phases that left a mark because of their design and beauty

Water palace says this:

let yourself fall on the water slides and run at full velocity to advance over water. Oh and sonic can't swim but you can run (glare can't see the word)aquatic fondos(means bottom, so it looks like we have underwater segments to look forward to)

Tropical resort:

grind like a crazy person in the rails and use the globes to jump over air. and use the wisp that grant you laser and a ball of fire power.

the other does seem that important.

also I would like to say that I'm new

and I speak fluent spanish if you need more translations

That Back 2 Back remix is going to be glorious

Also, seeing as the final era is evidently the Handheld era, I'm betting on the Egg Wizard (thus covering all 3 major Sonic titles on the DS) or Ultimate Gemerl (Then we have a reference to the Advance, Rush, and Rivals series, plus Colors DS)

Though the former is more likely (or Egg Nega Wisp)

I feel rather foolish for not realizing it was Water Palace. The homing attack water bubbles didn't make any sense for Apotos and I kept wondering why they choose to make Apotos seem like a water stage. It never even occurred to me that it might not be Apotos.

You know what? I'm tired of forming rather baseless opinions of the 3DS version. I want proper footage of the later levels to form a proper view. I really hope that the level design isn't as flat and dull as initially speculated.

You win this round, SEGA, quite unambiguously, but the level selection overall is still pretty terrible.

Now let's just hope they don't rip the Modern level layout straight from Rush.
