Are you happy with Seaside Hill Zone?

hmm.. I'm not really THAT dissapointed in the levle list... but, not to say that I wouldn't've changed a levle or two...

Planet Wisp? Fuck no. That levle's so BORING. At least in the DS Version. (All I've played) I would've picked Aquatic Park. It's an underwater maze IN SPACE!

Planet Wisp was amazing in the Wii version! Aquarium Park would be my second choice BUT since Seaside Hill and Chemical Plant have water sections I would've picked either Sweet Mountain or Starlight Carnival....but Planet Wisp is pretty cool!

I know that the list has already been confirmed, but here's my list.

Green Hill

Chemical Plant

Sky Sanctuary (With the Knuckles fight in Hidden Palace)

Speed Highway

City Escape

Final Fortress

Crisis City

Eggmanland

Planet Wisp

Having seen the new trailer, I would rather have seen something like Egg Fleet or Hang Castle simply because they are much better level choices and they're something different to your average coastal paradise stage.

Alright, credit needs to be given where it's due. This isn't Green Hill+, and has much more emphasis on the ocean and ruins. Would have preferred Hang Castle, but this definitely isn't bad.

I can agree. Seaside Hill looks amazing!

It has a mix of Seaside Hill, Ocean Palace, Jungle Joyride and Emerald Coast(... Or is it just me? :P)

If it is incorporating aspects from emerald coast I pray to god we'll get a killer whale chase.

As someone who hated the fact that it was in the game instead of Casino Park/Bingo Highway...

I like it. Judging from the trailer, I think Sonic Team were able to differentiate it from Green Hill well enough.

Still would've preferred CP/BH, though. tongue.gif

After viewing the trailer shown today I'm still not sold on the stage itself. It's good looking, and has water and Orcas (once again). That's about all I can say for it at this point.

Edit: Okay after viewing more of SSH I can say that I am in fact happy with SSH.

I may detest Heroes and Seaside Hill A LOT, but I fucking love this adaptation. It's one of the best I've seen so far. I get an Ocean Palace, Adabat vibe out of it. I hope there's a lot of underwater s'ploring in this level. If not, I wouldn't mind anyway; Seaside Hill looks beautiful to both look at and to replay. :3

Seaside Hill looks pretty decent, and I'm okay with what's there, but I still would have preferred a level that's completely different from the other stages in the game, rather than just kinda different.

I agree, IT by Stephen King is a long, boring, drawn out movie.

What I want to know is what does it have to do with Seaside Hill.

After seeing Grand Metropolis in M&S London Olympics, I'm all the more sad that we have Seaside Hill instead of something like that. Granted, it would've added even more to the City Tropes we've been getting, but you'd be a fool to deny that it would've been GORGEOUS!

Grand Metropolis was a terrible stage redeemed only partially by its music. Hang Castle, Egg Fleet or GTFO, Sega. >=0

And the fact remains that Seaside Hill, ruins or no ruins, was Heroes' tropical opening stage. So now we have two opening stages in Generations, and the 3DS version now has two too with Mushroom Hill Zone's announcement. With the wealth of stages on offer, I would've expected a much better selection than this.

I'm not sure if I want to say this, considering I actually like the level list, but...

Green Hill, City Escape, and Seaside Hill make three opening stages. :V

Heroes in general is a terribly executed game that is average at best.

But what the hell does it being terrible in one game have anything to do with it how it would be in this one? That doesn't stop them from using the levels, and that's not even getting into Sonic 06's representation in Generations with Crisis City being an even worse stage redeemed only by it's concept and image.

I don't understand what kind of fetish Sonic Team has with opening stages and city levels, but it's really irritating and is sucking away any hope I had for this game. I want some level variety, Sega, not mountains of sunny opening levels and cities with homages to related stages scattered throughout. If you're going to make a game celebrating the whole series to date, I (and I'm sure many others) would appreciate it if you guys would actually try do the variety of Sonic's past stages justice.

It's not Sonic Team it's the fans. Keep in mind, the zones were chosen directly based on that FB poll. Had fans chosen Scrap Brain, Metropolis, Death Egg, Sky Deck, Final Rush, Final Fortress, Aquatic Base, Eggmanland, and Asteroid Coaster they would have. You can debate whether letting fans choose the stages was the right thing to do (I don't think it was), but ST may have chosen different stages if they chose themselves.

Are you serious? Are you actually serious?

Did the Shadow The Hedgehog game incident teavh Sonic Team nothing? The one critical lesson they really should've learned by then was this: Never listen to the fans. They rarely know what is actually best for a game series, and trusting matters like stage choices to their poor judgement is just bloody stupid. This should be Sonic Team reminiscing about what the team itself thinks are the greatest stages in the series to date, not them going to fans and saying "No matter what you choose, no matter how retarded it may be, we will make whatever you want."
