I'm actually happy, now I won't have to spend so much money in the end of the year. That way I can buy this, and other games I want.

I would really like to get this just not right now, it just doesn't scream buy me right now! After finally getting round to playing the previous 3 Tomb Raider games and not being overtly impressed by them (they are okay, but they didn't blow me away) I don't think I'll rush out and buy this straight away. I don't know maybe its because I love the first three Tomb Raider games too much. smile.png

Not only was I looking forward to playing this come autumn, so was my sister. She was disappointed enough when it wasn't out last year just after her exams, so this is really gonna upset her. Least it's not been canned though.

YES IT HAS!! :(

Fecking pissed off! I am very VERY excited for this game and it gets delayed *siiiiiiigggggghssssssssss* as long we see some of the game at E3 that will keep me going but very upset the game isn't being released this year after it didn't come out last year sad.png

In many ways I'm happy it's not being released this year. Gives me time to run through the other 4 games I'll be getting. And with me going back to school in the fall (HOPEFULLY) another distraction would be the death of me. It's already bad enough that Halo 4 and Assassin's Creed 3 will be coming this year, but seeing another major game hit shelves would crush my heart and soul. Let SE perfect the game. They can take all the time they need. I'll be good with H4 and AC3 along with FC3 and whatever other games I picked up.

What a high bar.

Well for me that was when old Lara lost her way and the last few games have been enjoyable they hadn't blown exactly blown me away (I found Legend to be quite strong though).

I am going to be keeping a eye on this, sucks for the people who really wanted this game out this year though. sad.png

So how do you guys think they're doing developing Lara Croft before she became the badass that she is known as?

I've not played a lot of Tomb Raider games myself, but I'm looking forward to this just to see how they break a woman before turning her into a badass...and without sexualizing her to boot.

That was pretty damn good, very gritty and cinematic. *Makes noise Lara does picking up a secret on TRII* smile.png

I prefer Modern Lara over Classic Lara.

I wasn't really that hyped for it until I saw that, that looked fantastic. For some reason, the climbing sections look similar to Uncharted.

Wow, Lara sure does go through a lot in that trailer! It's nice to see her as less of an Indiana Jones rip-off and more of a character in her own right for a change.

Looking forward to the E3 demos, appears to have a more stealthy/survival approach to encounters (which is okay since every single TR game sucked HARD at gunplay). Hopefully they haven't dialed back on the environmental platforming puzzles. Animations looking a bit rough still, but they have almost a full year.

Just the climbing sections? ;P

Sometimes it sounds like I'm watching porn or something, so much moaning.

Other than that it seems cool, looks similar to Uncharted like many people said and the deer hunting bit seems interesting.

About the rape scene, I hope that isn't a QTE where you can fail...

Lara has always been about the moaning.

I doubt they'd too far with that even if you did. They might show Lara getting pinned down and the guy with a grin on his face and then cut it right there...then again we have been getting some rather ballsy game developers.

I recall reading or listening in an interview there would be gruesome deaths for failing some sequences, but don't quote me on this.

I bet they'll involve excessive amounts of moaning.

I'm still not 100% about what to make of this game. It just seems to take the gore and horror aspect too far for my liking.
