Same. I don't really mind them either, but they put so many meme posts It kinda gets stale. I honestly just want more Sonic news.

I know they're preparing for the Anniversary title, but still. Seeing memes almost all the time gets boring, quickly. And half the time it's self-deprecating. They could be doing something else, like... I don't know... Polls? Interacting with Fans (in better ways)? Other things besides memes?

Well the thing is I don't think Aaron wants to the basic "oh here's a poll for you guys to have fun with" or "hey, here's this cool fanart this one fan did. check him/her out.", I mean that's fine but I get the feeling that Aaron's wants to get bigger than that. I mean, we did caught that Rafa Knight was hired as a freelance artist and Aaron mentioned this during his interview with Tails Channel that there was like plans of using the better known artists with the social media or something, I can't recall the exact words at the moment. So they do have big plans for stuff, but Aaron and probably most of SEGA America are very busy at setting things up for the 25th Anniversary party so probably posting a meme or two is probably the best they can do at the moment. And it's not like Aaron doesn't want to do more with social media, I have the upmost confidence that he'll do his absolute best to entertain the fans with whatever he does. I mean, just look at this tweet from the guy.

We would be pretty excited to see what those binders have to offer but here's the thing: Aaron can only do so much. I mean, SEGA America gives him leeway to do whatever he can with the social media but as he said from the interview mentioned above, he gets the occasional "Aaron what are you doing?" talk and he gives his reasons.

I mean, I wouldn't mind if the social media did more things outside of the occasional meme post (even though that's why people love the social media in the first place but I guess you can only meme so much) but I don't personally mind if we got only what we have.

Does it need to be a dichotomy, though? Is it really that much more effort to post nice fanart and for once go "hey cool stuff" instead of going "HEY GAME GRUMPS MEME MEME SAAAAAAAAAAANIC QUALITY 2008 4CHAN CONTENT"

as with anything, there's a balance needed. this stuff by itself isn't bad (much as I groan with every Game Grumps reference which just feels ridiculous and kinda disrespectful), but it's not being balanced by anything else.

But the thing is, I'd say Aaron is balancing it quite a bit. It's not like EVERY post is a meme, I mean not too far ago we had a post about cosplay and people showed off their outfits and Aaron complimented them.

The problem with internet memetics and any kind of grasping attention by pandering to youth culture is that it's not sustainable. It's a good kickstart, yeah. Give it a few months, as it has, and you start seeing more and more everywhere "so, uh. Is this all you do? Grab whatever's popular in black twitter and give it a corporate coat of paint?" The memes and internet jokes and self deprecation and pandering to e-celebs can't be the point to themselves.

It wasn't a joke,i actually think that the page is ran by a boom hater,i mean,really?  Would anyone put hastags that go against a part of a popular franchise unless that person either a.
