It follows Chrono Trigger speed run rules, nudity makes you stronger.

I suspect that Senketsu is the stronger of the two, considering the same guy presumably made both and knew what Senketsu would have to beat.

It should be noted that people have been calling Mako's death for as far back as episode 5, and still nothing.

Honestly, killing Mako off at this point would be a terrible decision from a narrative standpoint, especially if its to get Ryuko to snap out of it. If they were gonna do something like that, it should have happened like 10 episodes ago.

Only way I could see Mako dying is if the writers decided to go all Cerebus syndrome on it's audience.

No guys, you see what's gonna happen is Mako will put on Senketsu, and take Ryuko's sword...she's gonna look like she died....but Senektsu protected her and ate all the blood.
