Return of the Koopa Suit?

 

 

I've always loved the effect where the rain hits the screen.

 

 

Dust clouds look bad here. I wish they'd add some transparency to them. Everything else looks great..

I haven't seen much of the new footage and screens which is making all of the people initially unimpressed recant their skepticism for this game, but those recent screens look nice.

 

And HELL YES the Koopa Shell is returning. That powerup was god-tier in NSMB.

The player with the highest score in one level gets a crown to wear in the next level. That player can then lose the crown by getting hit by enemies or other players or dying or whatever - you get bonus points (I think?) for making it to the end of the level with the crown still intact.

 

The picture is showing Mario ground pounding into Luigi and he's losing his crown as a result.

I've never thought about it, but poor Mario has to wear his sopping wet, probably really heavy and uncomfortable overalls and work shirt everywhere.

 

I mean, you get wet in World 1, realistically he'd be wet for pretty much the rest of the game.  And even then, his clothes would be all stiff and rough from being wet.  And he'd probably be all swollen and pruny from being wet for so long.

I dunno about you, but I don't think Mario doesn't look particularly pleased with what he sees.

 

Maybe Peach is still stuck in the 80's, if you know what I mean.
