Have they yet posted official artwork renders of our six colorful foes yet?

Yeah, look for the Nintendo E3 press package, super HQ renders in there.

EDIT: Fuck. thats what I get for leaving a page open for too long.

The desert thing REALLY bugs me.

Honeycombs + Sweets + 4 other things = Desert Ruins? ....yeaaaaaah

The game used to look really nauseating but now I've got used to it. I really love the graphical style. I liked it from the start but the fact that it runs at 60fps and looking at in motion sealed it.

We've already seen a desert level for it.

The news on this game just feels so... barren. They really are hiding almost absolutely everything, it feels like!

Now watch them have trailers for every level / boss until the upcoming release date.

Nintendo is probably keeping the lid tight on it. And there is no public demo to look through

There's no time for saving woodland critters, gotta show the fans scenery and gameplay porn.

New gameplay:

That's 60FPS man. I still can't get over it...it's SO GOOD! biggrin.png

Saw this just now. When the Deadly Six rise...

WOW, that's flippin' hilarious! It's good to see Aerobian Angel back in action smile.png

Windy Hill Zone 1 sounds like Rooftop Run Act 2, and Desert Ruins Zone 2 sounds like Skyscraper Scamper Day. Looks like the references to past games aren't restricted to just visuals.

The controls look really smooth, and the more I see of it, the more I want a demo to be released on the eShop in the summer. Screw Super Mario 3D World, if you want a platformer, get this! After all, Sega does what Nintendon't...

I think we should stop labeling SLW as Mario Galaxy: Now with Sonic. Iizuka said that every stage in the game will have completely different designs, so Windy Hill is most likely gonna be the only stage with SMG type platforming and exploration, judging from the commentary footage we've seen so far.

The levels are going to have vastly different designs, in the sense that Desert Ruins contains stages based on Egyptian tombs, level ate and a giant tree. The gameplay style however is set it stone- it's Mario Galaxy esque gravity tripping, as is evident in all the Wii U stages we've seen so far. Windy Hill Zone 1 is what the bulk or main part of the game is going to be like. I think you've misunderstood those details.

Trying to deny the Mario Galaxy connotations or inspiration is pretty naive when it's blatantly obvious. It's not a bad thing though, considering how good the game looks.

All the screen shots released are 1280x800.

Has it been confirmed that the game will run in 1080p, or is it running in 720p?

Well that's good to hear. I'm not particularly impressed with the 2D levels and I'm a bit iffy on the mach speed sections. The main thing that bothers me is all of the boosters and springs. Why Sonic Team?? We really don't need them this time.

That music sho' is groovy. Reminds me of Johnny Pate's work on Shaft In Africa.

Precisely what I was thinking. All that was missing was Sonic to have shades and a leather jacket. I can't wait to hear more music from this game!
