She shed tears throughout much of her three-hour movie. And when she arrived on stage with her co-star Léa Seydoux, the two actresses cried some more. Adèle Exarchopoulos, the 19-year-old heroine of Abdellatif Kechiche’s sexually graphic, potently naturalistic lesbian drama La Vie d’Adèle (known in English as Blue Is the Warmest Color), was named one of the three winners of the Palme d’Or, the highest prize at the 66th Cannes Film Festival.

Lesbian love story wins top prize at Cannes It also drew attention because of its graphic and extended sex scenes between its unknown lead actress, Adele Exarchopoulos, and Lea Seydoux. It is both the most sexually explicit Palme winner, and the first gay-themed love story to win.

Step by Step Deception

Plot details are a bit scattered right now because we couldn't find an accurate translation anywhere online, but damn it, how we tried. What we can tell you is the film centers on an abandoned hospital that is haunted by the Grey Ghost.

Insidious: Chapter 2 haunts theaters on Friday, Sept. 13.

"Whatever it was that was haunting our family, it's not done with us," Lorraine says, as a bone-chilling version of "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" plays in the trailer.

(24:30) Footage out from Plan 9 From Outer Space remake

R3X0i.jpg

Looks awful.....what did they think they could  do with this film? Either you make it a comedy and completely miss the point of why Plan 9 is a great movie or you make it a straight horror and.....miss the point of why Plan 9 is a great movie.

You can't capture unintentional humour. That's what Plan 9 is, it's hilarious because it's meant to be serious. I think anyone who's seen the movie knew there was no way they could make a remake work and judging by that clip we were right.

For first footage it's boring as hell and the crappy acting is just so forced......

La Fille du 14 Juillet

synopsis

Hector met Truquette on Bastille Day and has one thing in mind: to seduce this girl. The best way is to run and take her to the seaside

Similar in some ways to Sophie Letourneur’s sophomore feature Les Coquillettes – whose co-star Carole Le Page is credited as co-editor here – and her earlier La Vie au ranch (both of which were produced by Ecce), there’s a welcome DIY approach to Peretjatko’s filmmaking that recalls the late 50s/early 60s movies of the Nouvelle Vague, combining off-the-cuff location shooting, post-sync sound and a crop of unknown actors whose performances feel both fresh and real.

Alright AdventChild, knock it off. Ever since this topic has been going on your posts here have literally been nothing but random news links with absolutely none of your own input. Your posts are basically spam because all you're doing is just regurgitating news links just because, and it's why this topic hardly sees any other posts worth making. Seeing as how we're cracking down on the MLP topic getting spam posts, I suddenly remembered that this topic exists and I'm going to make the same mandate here.

In fact this topic is unorganized for the most part and I don't see a lot of things here that are viable for discussion even within this thread's borders. Usually people just make topics for movies that people want to talk about, whereas this thread is filled with random stuff that don't really add up to anything. If you guys can use this thread for actual discussion for movies that perhaps don't really deserve their own threads (or if you're just lazy to make topics on them) rather than everything that has been going on here since the thread's creation, then great, I'll keep this open. Only reason I haven't said anything before is because I've subconsciously blocked out this topic's existence due the lack of discussion.

TV Spot For ‘The Conjuring’ Reminds You TV Spots Used To Be Scary

Warner Bros. just released the first TV Spot for The Conjuring and I’m thrilled at the narration actually, it’s sort of a deep-voiced Thanksgiving vibe. That dry, overly serious tone reminds me of when trailers and TV Spots actually used to scare me!

To be fair the point of this discussion is movie news though I get your point. I always find AdventChild's posts interesting and helpful but maybe he could do a little more to weigh in with his own opinions on the links he's posting.

I usually try to weigh in with some opinions on the links but the discussions never seem to go any further than that...

Trailer Alert: Under The Bed (2013)

Not quite sure how family friendly the movie will end up being, because the trailer is pretty intense.  But we can only hope that when it’s released here in the US this summer, it can measure up to Troma’s 1986 film, Monster In the Closet.  Remember that one?  Sure you do…..

Clovis Cornillac stars in this Tour de France comedy from director Laurent Tuel ("Ultimate Heist").

Further enhancing the athleticism are several cameos by actual Tour de France champions (including Bernard Hinault and Laurent Jalabert) -- a stunt likely to please diehard fans who may otherwise be let down by the film’s fluffy finale.

2013 Cannes Winner

While tens of thousands of people protested against France’s new gay marriage law in central Paris, the three hour lesbian drama Blue is the Warmest Colour took the Palme d’Or at the 66th Cannes Film Festival.
Weird? Coincidence? Well, maybe just passionate film-making against reality…
