So, my mom just bought this game as a surprise present, and she says that I can exchange it for something else. I'm not sure wether or not I should keep it. Thoughts?

I wasn't so sure about Pikmin 3 when I bought it at firs,t but after about an hour of messing around and getting used to the mechanics, I found myself having alot of fun and being really invested in the game.  Its currently the best Wii U Exclusive currently out, by all means give it a shot unless theres something else you really want to buy instead.

KEEP IT. FLIPPIN' KEEP IT! I've never played a Pikmin game before this game (well, with the exception of about 30 minutes of Pikmin 1 but I was young and had no idea what I was doing) and it REALLY surprised me at just how good it is. It's an awesome game.

Hey guys, sorry to bump this thread after so long but I have been looking at multiplayer gameplay on YouTube recently and decided to ask how the julitplayer is like, I am hopefully getting a Wii U for Christmas and I'd love to get a few games with decent multiplayer so my partner can play with me (she doesn't like sonic so she won't play SLW with me).

I plan on getting the game anyway at some pony, but the quality of the multiplayer depends wether I get it sooner rather than later.

So I have a few questions

1) how fun is it in general to play?

2) how easy is it for a complete beginner to pick up? How long would it take them to get the basic grasp of the controls?

3) which would be the best multiplayer mode to play, vs or co-op?

edit: oh. the multiplayer is really good. The COOP is really fun to play together and the VS mode is intense. Um, it's a little harder to jump right in but you'll figure it out quickly.

Haha I'm not in America and due to Christmas low on funds

I was more worried about my partner who's never touched a pikmin game before, glad to hear its fun , looks really hectic on YouTube, that's the sorta dunno was hoping!
