I find it highly hypocritical of people who scream from the heavens for deregulation of government yet they ask for the expansion of government in this area.

It has been my observation for some time now that large corporations and the conservative politicians who usually support them only care about the freedom of businesses. Everywhere else, they're quite content with a police state to beat the masses into submission.

I'd assume it's due to CBS's shady business going on with CNet. Either way, good on them for fucking with the company.

I don't see how americans can help out now with the european bill, then again most americans tend to not care about what happens outside our borders. I hate feeling helpless like this and I hope you europeans really get to it and let yourselves be heard loud and clear.

Megaupload was only the beginning. FileSonic isn't technically down, but disabling filesharing defeats the purpose of the website anyway, so it may as well be. And with all these arrests flying around, things are going to get very ugly, very quickly.
