  • New Shadow Skin for Superstars Lets Sonic Don the Jammies of Darkness, Available Now

    If you're looking for an edgier Sonic Superstars experience... well, you're not going to get it with this bizarre, cute skin that just went live (or will go live soon) on all Sonic Superstars platforms. During the announcement of Sonic x Shadow Generations, SEGA revealed that Superstars would be getting this free skin as a promotion without details or images other than a date.

    And it seems for good reason, as the actual skin itself is delightfully silly. No, you won't be getting a Classic Shadow as Iizuka has reminded us time and time again. But if you ever wanted to revisit the weird costuming of Sonic Forces and the Olympic spin-off games, Classic Sonic can now show you his Shadow scowl and his cowl.

    Hints of this skin were first revealed in December by dataminer Axanery. If the files continue to speak true, we may also be getting some sort of retro diner skin for Amy as well.

    The Sonic Stadium may link to retailers and earn a small commission on purchases made from users who click those links.     The costume is actually hilarious, but am I the only one who wants something that makes the game more replayable? The "fun" in it only lasts a couple of hours, and as much as I like having more skins (I wanted them since day 0), I wish they added time trials or challenges or something.

    100% with you on this. Even a "mirror" mode with an achievement would be make me want to go back to it.

    I was bored with the skin by the end of Bridge Island.
