  • LEGO Sonic, Tails and Amy Are Joining Sonic Forces: Speed Battle

It’s been nearly a week since Dr. Eggman’s brick filled invasion of Sonic Forces Speed Battle has started, and the evil doctor’s rule has finally seemingly been opposed.

According to the in-game news tab today, LEGO Sonic, Tails, and Amy have now infiltrated the game - intending to ruin the Master Plan and restore the game back to normal. LEGO Eggman is scrambling to stop them before he’s ousted from the game.

Seriously speaking, this means the new characters should be dropping on August 1st, when the LEGO Eggman events draws to its conclusion.

Unfortunately, much like Eggman, the LEGO characters seem to be direct clones of their regular counterparts, right down to the moves and their stats - which stings more since all three are common rarity characters, compared to Eggman, who at least was a Super Rare rarity character with some insane moves that carried over to LEGO Eggman. So, if you didn’t already particularly enjoy playing any of the three of them, you probably won’t find much reason to level them up much this time around either.

But at least for the novelty of having a bunch of LEGO variants of characters using LEGO versions of their power ups, you won’t have to wait long to have a full set of them. It seems LEGO Sonic, LEGO Amy and LEGO Tails are dropping together, rather than having an event each.

There’s only about three and a half days left for LEGO Eggman, so be sure to get him before it’s too late.

Sucks that it literally takes a crossover for Tails to get something beyond his default lmao (Movie, Nine/Prime and now LEGO).  He's still yet to get an event alt in the almost SIX YEARS the game has been out :absolutely:

We've gotten 3 Tails unlocks in the last year and a half contrasted to zilch in the first 4. I'm not about to start complaining about anything on that front.

They are really pushing this Lego thing though. Between this, Superstars, the twitter videos - there is a ton of collaboration going on between the two companies. Remember when SEGA thought Hooters was a sensible endorsement partner for Sonic? We've come such a long way. Someone got their act together over at HQ lol.

The LEGO alt sucks. I've unlocked LEGO Eggman, only to realise it's the exact same as Dr. Eggman (Rare) just in LEGO. Same with Sonic, Tails and Amy.

I was tempted to unlock LEGO Amy but I already got a MAX normal Amy and the LEGO version is no different, except it's LEGO and you only have LEGO events to collect these cards to upgrade (which I'll NEVER max this character unless I pay for that damn Tails' Vault).

It's not worth the grind overall, unless you love LEGO. Once I realised it's the same Eggman but LEGO I've stopped paying attention to this.

I didn't mind LEGO Eggman too much, both because I didn't have Eggman before (I've been on a long hiatus with the game and only started back during Thorn Rose's last rerun), and Eggman is at least a super rare character so his power ups are pretty powerful. On top of that, comparatively it's easier to level up a challenger tier LEGO Eggman than the regular one where you need to get lucky with drops or pay for it in the store.

But these are just straight up copies of common tier characters, and their power ups just ain't up to snuff either for the hefty grind for a max level at that. It's nothing but aesthetic, basically.

I know Eggman (Super Rare) is hard to max out because it's a super rare (lol).

But LEGO Eggman isn't that much better, in fact it's harder than you think. At least with Eggman (rare), over time you will collect Eggman cards there and there.

With LEGO Eggman, you only have this event to unlock him. Then it's up in the air when the next LEGO Eggman event will occur. Some special characters like Tropical Storm only had one event in its history. One! I still, after 2 years haven't seen a Longclaw event.

EDIT: Mini-rant, Hardlight be more diverse with the events. I'm tired of the Super Sonic, Super Shadow events.

So for events like this you better spend more and more time collecting cards with the use of Tails' Vault to max out LEGO Eggman as you can. Because I have a level 12/13 Rusty Rose and Mephiles (who are challengers). Getting them to the next level requires 3,000+ cards. Super Rare characters like Eggman require way less to upgrade (but of course the problem is getting the cards)
