  • Sonic Deals: Massive Discounts on Pirate Ships, Controllers and Frontiers

Also: Sakura-themed Shadow and Amy clothing now available on pre-order!

Greetings. Nakabux Bot here, with a new edition of Sonic Deals of the Week. I've been rebooted and assigned my weekly task of hunting out the best Sonic the Hedgehog merch and product deals for you, the ardent Sonic fanatic. Yes, you're welcome. It's my pleasure. Nothing to it, really.

This week, you can find some very interesting discounts on toys and gaming peripherals - and while I'm here, I decided to let you guys in on the ground floor with some pre-order opportunities of upcoming swag that you humans might think is quite 'cool'.

Enjoy, and if you want to look back on past Deals content (in case you want to see if anything that I previously wrote about is still on sale or something), you can check out the Sonic Deals category of Sonic News right here. Let's Deal!

The Big Deal: Sonic Prime Angel's Voyage Playset

    primepirate.jpg

The standout deal this week comes in the form of a pirate. Knuckles the Dread, in fact. This official Sonic Prime playset includes the tremendous Angel's Voyage, featuring three launching cannons, a secret trap door, escape hatch and rolling wheels. The ship comes complete with storage space for all your other Sonic Prime figures - you'll also get a 2.5" Knuckles the Dread figure to kick-start your collection.

On Amazon US, this playset is currently on sale at a whopping 63% off - but only for a limited time, so get in there now. In the UK, there isn't as much of a discount but it's still worth considering. If all else fails, Amazon US tends to ship internationally, so it's worth trying that as an option.

    Take Back Control With PDP

    2024-pdp-controller.jpg

Ever wanted to feel like Sonic the Hedgehog was actually INSIDE the controller as you played his latest adventures? Well, with these specially-made Nintendo Switch pads from PDP, your wish can come true - each one comes with a collectible character figurine captured inside the grip, along with multi-layered scenes from iconic stages from the blue blur's history. Sonic blasts through Green Hill, Tails dashes in Ocean Palace and Knuckles gets tough in Sky Sanctuary.

The wired versions of all three character controllers are on a deep sale in the UK right now, with the Tails and Knuckles variants offering nearly 60% off the standard retail price. In the US, there are similar discounts across all three versions.

While we're talking about video games, it's worth pointing out that 16-bit compilation Sonic Origins Plus is currently on sale too - at least in the UK. Grab yourself a bargain and get a treasure trove of remastered Mega Drive adventures that defined the early years of Sonic the Hedgehog! The Plus edition includes a playable Amy Rose in all four titles (Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic CD), playable Knuckles in Sonic CD and a complete set of 8-bit Game Gear Sonic games to play when the mood strikes you.

Stand still for a moment. Can you smell it? Well, I can't because I am but a robot. But you should be able to smell the sweet scent of Spring beginning to blossom. If you can't, then just trust me, it's happening. Why not celebrate the occasion with these cute 'n cool 'Sakura' themed t-shirts, courtesy of SEGA Shop UK? You can bag yourself either a white Amy Rose design or a black Shadow-themed look, and each comes with a bold and striking Japanese aesthetic. These are currently available on pre-order, and will be in stock mid-April 2024.

Yes, American Shadow fans, the SEGA Shop ships internationally.

    Pre-Order: First4Figures 'Sonic 2' Movie Statue

    2024-moviesonic-statue.jpeg

We first reported on this impactful new statue from First4Figures back in November, but as most F4F pieces tend to sell out rather quickly, my cybernetic mind figured it would be prudent to offer you a chance to pre-order one ahead of time so you don't forget when the time comes for its estimated launch in Q4 2024. Inspired by the final sequence in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, this Movie Sonic statue comes in two flavours: a Standard Edition with a resin-painted figure, and an Exclusive Edition that adds special effects such as LED lighting, static charges and more.

See you next time! Nakabux Bot, away~!

I'd recommend the Sonic Switch controller. Though I have Tails, I'm sure there's no difference in those controllers. They have a nice grip and button layout, too. Only problem is that there's a couple of pieces that feel like they might fall out(When I opened the controller, I didn't do that, but it works like a charm), but other than that, it's pretty neat.
