So basically what I'm getting from this is that the Wii U is not the underpowered piece of shit everyone was SAYING it would be, correct?

It's a lot better than people speculated it to be ala worse than the 360. Yeah, I have no idea why but those rumors spread.

Well, it's not gonna set the world on fire, but as far as performance for price goes, you could do a lot worse, and it's leagues better than what's in the PS3 and 360.

zavvi have yet to finalize my Wii U order, good thing i've gotten it pre-ordered at 3 other places just in case it falls through, it seems pre-orders are closing or dropping several places around the country already.

What do you mean by "finalise" the order? Nothing will be finalised until it's shipping date. It should all be okay though. Zavii have closed orders on the Zombi U premium pack, but they Nintendo Land premium pack and basic pack are still available for order.

then why did they send me a "sorry" e-mail about not finalizing my order? and they are "trying" their best to resolve the problem and not lose faith in them?

just for the WiiU pack, they haven't said anything about my 3 WiiU game pre-orders i've made and those aren't available till WiiU launch anyway, so why are they compelled to tell me about my WiiU order not being finalized?

I assumed it was sent it error, because it's not been released yet and all its saying is "sorry we've not sent it yet", as though it shoudl have been by now.

yeah Zavvi only send that e-mail if it's passed the release date and they haven't sent it or gotten word on stock for it, it's been sending that same e-mail every month about the Zone of The Enders HD collection that was slated for release in Feb 2012, it's been pushed to 2013 to my understanding yet Zavvi haven't updated their page on it, so i constantly get this e-mail over and over, you can see why i'm sceptical.

Just had a look around and found some other sites that have stopped taking pre-orders on certain packs.

Argos has closed pre-orders for the Basic and Premium. They're still taking pre-orders for the ZombiU Premium bundle, though.

I don't like the look of the Wii U. Granted it's the best of the upcoming generation even if we haven't seen the others yet. But, I'm more into retro so I won't get it.

Jim Sterling theorizes the Wii U will have the least hardest time surviving this console generation.

Kind of interesting considering the other angle that's being approached.

Wow. That's actually a really good point he's made there. I've noticed that the focus is becoming less and less on games as of late.

Yup, my main reason for liking Nintendo more than Sony and Microsoft- they're about the games. And even outside of that specifically, their games tend to interest me far more than those exclusive to other platforms.

I'm the same way, Blue Blood. I usually get interested in more games on Nintendo plaforms than the other two (Sonic aside, which is a given on ANY system for me).
