Welp, just when Democracy Mode was going to kick in to make better progress across Morty's Gym, Twitch outvoted for Anarchy instead.

And with that; Morty's Gym has become (at least to me) the first real threat to Twitch Plays Pokemon Crystal.

Even in Democracy mode, something's got to happen. But it feels good in a morbid way that Gen 2 has managed to find the equivalent of Giovanni's wild ride. At first, this stream was kind of boring, with no conflict or anything brewing.
