....So they're reality warpers? Goddamn, that could potentially be broken.....I like this

It would also go about explaining how Zazz is able to grab the moon.

Alternatively, their psychic powers include telekinesis and it's really, really, REALLY powerful (perhaps it's at it's strongest under certain circumstances, like if they work together, or maybe even use the Chaos Emeralds) and they can move the giant hexagons that make up Lost Hex.

EDIT: Or they have access to some power that Eggman was/is seeking that lets them manipulate Lost Hex however they please, which fits Dio's idea better.

It is.

And I'm really friggin' glad to see the Lightning Shield return in a 3D Sonic game. Doubly so because it's actually yellow instead of blue. I never really liked it when it was blue, yellow makes much more sense. Nitpicky, yah, but I appreciate a sensible color scheme.

Now I wonder if the Bubble Shield and Flame Shield are back.

Blue isn't a reasonable color for electricity?

Honestly I think the bright yellow is a bit obnoxious in comparison.

I always thought that on S3&K it was white?

But yeah I do wonder if we will see the others, didn't we see the flame shield in the 3DS version at one point?

It's not that blue isn't reasonable, but I personally prefer yellow.

Maybe I'm being a bit OCD about it but - - - -

(pardon the crude use of clip art I'm using a touch pad and I really suck at it)

I kind of had this color scheme in mind. It's far from being a nagging issue for me but it just seems too decent a setup for me to not think about.

 - and yes, in S3&K both the Lightning and Bubble shields were white/clear, but I chalk that up to palette limitations.

EDIT: Also, the Lightning Shield picks up rings, which are yellow - so I think it's a pretty reasonable design choice. It's like - the yellow shield interacts with the yellow things... etc.

We've seen the Flame Shield in the 3DS version.

And we've seen a blue shield in the Gamescom trailer, though, I can't tell if it's a Bubble Shield or just a regular shield.

I totally forgot about that footage! That was the Bubble Sheild! I think Sonic was bouncing in that clip.

Greatly pleased. Greatly pleased.

If you are right about them being reality warpers then it sorta makes sense in a way since zomom loves food so what better way to put the reality to his interest then food but if a casino is in frozen factory that means zeena is obsessed with gambling that's what I'm thinking so far but then again desert ruins also has a honeycomb level out of place made of honey and popsicle sticks so I dunno what to say there

I don't think that's the bubble shield. It doesn't look like he's bouncing there, just jumping quickly...plus he's got the bounce attack by default anyway, doesn't he?

He does, but he can only bounce 3 times from what I've seen. I'm guessing the Bubble Sheild gives you unlimited bounces...? If so, that's a pretty smart move.

It was White, then it was Blue and White. Then it was just Light Blue.

Zor's torso looks strange in that screenshot. I think he was designed to be slouching, not standing upright. He looks like a sock puppet or something

I think its funny how close Sonic gets to these enemies. I can't recall him ever doing that. It's like he doesn't even see them as a threat lol

"Uh, excuse me? Can I have a bite of that sandwich?"

I think he's advising him on where he can get more chicken fillets for that sandwich.

Look no further than the Cucky's.

I'd prefer Cuck-fil-A, but that place is closed on Sundays.
