Good to see Knuckles again, even though he is still being treated like an idiot.

I see no issue with Knuckles getting treated with some level of comedy like he is here.

 

I just don't like it when it completely dominates his entire portrayal.

Oh, I can understand that. It's just that any instance where any sort of situation where Knuckles is put into anything but badass will be put off as "demeaning" such as being toted away by little animals.

Wow, Amy is concerned about the animals....She actually talked to Sonic without becoming a brainless fangirl.....Why am i supposed to hate Pontac and Graff again?  This is the first time since Adventure 1 that i saw her not annoying me.

Amy: Aw, don't be sad, buddy,Sonic and Tails will save your friends
 
Sonic! Have you managed to rescue the animals?
 
Sonic: Um, only the container that Eggman dropped from his Eggmobile
 
Knuckles: Wait a minute, just one?
 
Sonic: Yeah... crappy, huh?
 
Knuckles: I could have saved them all!
 
Amy: *pushes Knuckles aside* Save those, then.
 
Oh, I can't even imagine what Eggman is doing to them...
 
Sonic: Leave it to me!

 
Going to translate the other cutscene with Eggman and the Deadly Six, give me a few minutes...

Yeah, also really like how Amy isn't just fawning over Sonic and actually talking to him straight due to this distressing situation and actually being comforting towards the sad little animals. If there's anything I'll like about Amy when she's not flanderized is her considerate and loving nature, and she's always been a character I want to like because of that. May we see more of this for the rest of the cutscenes she's in.

Coming from a massive Amy fan here, I'm seriously impressed. This reminds me of her SA1/2 incarnation a 

lot; maybe even better. I'd still like to see her optimistic side, but I hope this 'no-nonsense' half stays throughout the game.

* scene: Animals are being placed inside of the badniks*
 
Eggman: Transformation 101: From animal to badnik!  Boom! An instant army! I'll need a huge army if I intend to conquer the world!
 
Zavok: I see that you're quite the conqueror ...
 
Eggman: Yes, hehe, quite so, actually. I conquered you, did I not?
And not only will I take over the world, but I'll destroy that blue nuisance, forever!
 
* scene change *
Zavok: So .. he wants to destroy that hedgehog ...
 
Zazz: Hoohoohoo! Gogo! Yeah! I also wanna destroy something!
 
Zavok: That's what I like about you, Zazz. Always ready to fight ... regardless against whom you face.
 
Zazz: Hehehe! You know it! Tell me who and where and I'll turn 'em into pieces!
