wich was literally only in SA1, and even then it was bareley noticable to the point where I was suprised it was in there in the first place.

I'm only commenting on this because I keep seeing this crop up now and then, but the above isn't actually true. Both Adventures had them, but barely made use of them (with the odd ramp and hill here and there). LW doesn't need them to be good though. It doesn't need to be like the Classics or Adventures to be good at all, but it's nice to have the references like badniks, ghosts and Casino Night for the sake of nostalgia.

 

Enough of my pedantry anyway.

This game needs to come out already so that all these arguments can stop...well if they carried on after the games release then I personally wouldn't care anymore, because I would be too busy PLAYING the game =|

I'm not sure if I should say that but thanks for taking your time to reply to my post. I did say that I'm not going to argue over points I made and I won't. It will take forever to properly word my thoughts so you won't have to find things to argue about which are just not properly worded.

That and it would be very hard to argue with you all, especially with those who's native language is engish, so they can write walls of well thought-out texts quite fast. I don't think I can do that and even if I did, being in the minority would probably cause the unnecessary heated discussion which would probably make me the cause of it.

 

Other than that, I can only add that I can agree on some counter-arguments and will still disagree on the rest.

Oh, I don't know about hating the game, personally. While, as I stated about, I liked Unleashed less than other games, I still play it just for the levels. And it does offer an alternate play style. And I even still play my other Sonic games, just for the levels. While I can't speak for everyone, unless I really can't get into the gameplay, I'll still be playing.

But there is so much stuff that I want coming in October that getting time to play it all as well as uni is going to be hard.

Only if it's bad.

By that definition, Colors and Generations are bad games.

 

You are right though: If Lost Worlds is as good as it looks, then people might give the last few games more credit and praise.

Well the game certainly shows promise. I dig the new playstyle, and the Deadly Six so far appear to be a new intersting band of foes.

To those hoping for the game to be released so that the arguments will stop...that's just not going to happen.

 

In fact, you should probably expect more (heated) arguments about the game when it is out and everyone has played it.

Something interesting about exclusives is that less people are going to have actually played the game seriously.  Many will dismiss it after having only played one level at a friend's house or what have you.  You didn't really understand how good Colors was until you owned it and invested real time into it.  Prepare for a lot of that.  Also, many will still be butthurt from the exclusivity in the first place to give it a fair shake.  

 

People do love to hold a grudge, especially if they feel they've been scorned.

Honestly though the fussing that has been over this game is rather tiny compared to pass games....so I guess that's a sign that Sonic Team is doing right.

Well, the game's not too far away from us now, so we have an somewhat increased sense of patience. And an equal sense of impatience.
