A Sonic Central Is Speeding Your Way This Friday!

Sonic Frontiers 2:  Island Adventure is inbound.

Sonic 4: Complete is also inbound

ok, that's surprising.

but what do we expect? maybe some superstars direct feed gameplay with music? frontiers update news? I honestly don't know. it's even too early for a movie 3 trailer and I don't really think that there is another game in the works right now.

Well, remember that Team Sonic Racing trailer we had at that one event the other year? Chances are, we could get something like that, for a spinoff game. Just saying.

Maybe. But the announcement picture also mentions it will focus on 2023 events. Maybe it's Iizuka's typical "one more thing". Who knows. :D

Yeah, I did say could. Still, I do think Iizuka will say the "one more thing" line, and we get something.

I am not sure what it is, but yeah, you know what I mean.

I'd definitely written off Sonic Central this year.

 I don't think we'll see any new games announced, Origins Plus, Superstars, and the Frontiers content updates have us pretty much covered. A spin-off game isn't impossible I suppose, and Hardlight has apparently been working on something we're yet to see.

Frontiers Update 2 is absolutely getting shown and either dropped after the Central, or early next week. Depending on what's planned for Update 3 I could see a brief teaser for that too.

In terms of other new stuff, there'll no doubt be some merch or cross-brand promotion like the recent Minecraft stuff. The Knuckles show might get a teaser.

Motobug will be providing a stream of the event for anyone looking to watch it together.

As for predictions, I'm betting we're going to see the second Frontiers update, we'll see Superstars get it's official release date, as well as a pre-order announcement, and we'll probably see a trailer + a release date of Prime Part 2. 

Would like it if there's a remaster announcement too, but we'll see.

Any idea how long it's gonna be? I'm predicting around 10 Minutes long (15 if we're generous).

I doubt there'll be any big surprises for this. Frontiers' 2nd update comes out the same day iirc, so that'll most definitely be mentioned and/or shown off. Though perhaps the 3rd update could also be shown off a little...? Otherwise, we'll most likely just get more info on Superstars, maybe a closer look at Fang and Trip's roles in the game or something. Origins Plus might get a mention, but there'd be little to no point of having more than that.

About the closest thing I can think of to a potential surprise is some kind of teaser for the upcoming Knuckles show, but even that feels unlikely to me.

EDIT: Oh actually, we could possibly get a release date for Prime "Season" 2

My most excited thing is a possible teaser for update 3, Mike Pollock and Ian Flynn are teasing something, it can also be a Tailstube or a new short animation anyway. I wouldn't rule out Olympics just yet, but I hope it releases next year...

A Superstars promotional cartoon/comic seems plausible, perhaps as a prequel that shows what happened between 3&K and it. Potentially Amy focused

LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog set reveal teased for Sonic Central that's going to be more Interesting to watch Sonic Central now.

Call me crazy, but while this is more of a hope rather than a prediction, I would like to see a "Gems" complication of Sonic games that is like Sonic Origins/Plus, except it has Sonic Spinball, Sonic 3D Blast, Knuckles Chaotix, Sonic R and maybe even SegaSonic Arcade. A guy can dream, right?
